I thought I'd try something different today and I'm going to use Google Voice so this should actually be a better kind of review because of a better format it because it might make more sense and because I can speak. So first things first cap with the great opening role play it's actually really nice to see turmoil and PS4 guys on Riot providing content that's actually really good it's a nice change of pace to the norm a norm there was facilitated by a dirtbag but that's neither here nor there either way it's a welcome addition so shut out to cap for putting on a really good promo especially you know we're going to the New York it's kind of cool I Dug it.

 

Where Brooklyn At Where Brooklyn at so now we move on to the next bit hijo de Mistico faces jett draven I didn't hate this match it first the fact I was into it up until the 14 minute mark here's the thing when it comes to damage if if you're really colored and are you really good at kicking out that could have slid back in the older Seasons like 2016 and 2017 Maybe but now it's just it's just annoying.

 

I mean I get kicking out can be easy for some people I guess we're competitive barroso hybrid and by being hybrid means that we have to make some concessions regarding matches and one such concession is making sure matches are watchable for the audience and making sure matches are rapid-fire action packed into the point for the audience because if I have to sit and watch the 20-minute match it better be entertaining from top to bottom or there's going to be problems.

 

So what we saw was basically you a blood feud kind of booked off the jump from the simple fact that mystical and Jet are actually friends and that was part of the angle that was revealed later on into the promo which I actually enjoy it and told a good story how Jets a different person now.

 

And mistico doesn't know how to receive that because the person you seemed to know is gone which is cool I can dig that I got no problem with that at all but what I do have a problem with this a match being dragged on because some guy just doesn't want to you know. So that's why I told you that you know if if you're a head like that just ended tapped out whatever it is what it is Tab high and pack whatever and just keep moving because I would rather do that than have a match till started okay and that you know middle was okay then the end of sight come on then so I mean again rookies don't know any better.

And once again shout out to Doc AKA H2O aka the bane of my existence AKA Like Water for Chocolate PP so yeah Heather promo cat promo what is there to say Angelo call despite it sounding like it's related to KD Angelo no relation actually looking really forward to this match

 

Sentai hare is 4 action what is there going to be said that ocw really is anime there you go. Pug you're absolutely right that you are taste maker and Riot rather is anime congratulations go fuck yourself.

 

So now we have Heather versus Kat and I actually really really love The Narrative of this match heather hasn't been on riot for couple of weeks and Kat is the #1 contender I had more thoughts yesterday but honestly I can't remember these thoughts because you know she happens but this was actually really good match and in a similar way one it is almost like the jet match but the difference is it was even!

 

For the most part see if it runs a little long it's an even competitive entertaining match I'm usually okay with it being a little long this one ran 19 minutes or 18 minutes so in that sense it doesn't it didn't really bother me but it's a delicate balance it really is and some people have it some people don't but some people can learn it so it's not it's not a foregone conclusion once again number one Contender losing.

 

Along with champs losing to other people it's interesting builds a good Dynamic cuz it happens not everybody wins every day unless you cheat it's going to be interesting to see how cat bounces back and how Heather has Built some equity.

 

In addition to that shout out to H2O for actually putting in more work you've been this is a guy who's very busy and still manages to put a consistent effort if so when I got people coming to me and say no I couldn't do an RP row it's going to be later or you forgot or whatever excuse it's kind of weird to me because this dude has like 19 jobs 75 kids and a happy wife so you know some people want it some people don't and I can tell from the jump H2O wants it despite being a jackass.

Watch some matches when we played on 360, they averaged about 20 minutes so some of you need to get over yourselves.

 

The issue is he was double red compared to Jett being clear halfway through the match, he was already out of it by then. You should not be "gray" in the opener. You live and you learn.

 

Anyway this was a solid show, enjoyed the ME and the fierceness of Liger vs. Blackbeard. Rookies take note. H20 always impressing, with both Heather and his main.

Capo with good stuff on the open. I like his work on Turmoil and his RP's are always entertaining, while I admittedly don't pay as much attention to Turmoil as I do Riot, some of the guys on Turmoil and the work they put in make me want to buy a god damn PS4 so I can bring some heat over there too. Looking forward to seeing where Capo goes with this angle.

 

Jett vs Mistico had a good angle and a great post-match RP as Bloom eluded to earlier, but as he said and as a lot of us are thinking, the length and general vibe of the match wasn't amazing. To me, as someone who has watched a lot of shows but only played for a small amount of time, I don't think the match length is the issue, more so WHY the matches last so long. This was relatively one sided and the feud would have worked fine without the kick outs and drawn out conclusion. In an attempt to not be so negative, I think Mistico has a cool moveset from the limited action I've seen him in and I enjoy reading all of his RP work.

 

Sentai creeps me out and I dig it. Keep it coming you weird freakazoid.

 

Heather vs Kat was a back and fourth battle so the length didn't bother me so much. Both have super unique move sets (in my opinion anyway). Also, I know most of you probably don't even notice now that you've been here for 100 years, but this was another match where I immediately am impressed about the creativity and uniqueness of each CAW. I think it's awesome, for real to watch all these personalities/attires/movesets/etc collide every week and for whatever reason Heather vs Kat flashed me back to that feeling.

 

No need to comment on my own L. Shout out to Charles Young for what I thought was a great match that hopefully you guys find fun to watch.

Fun to see Blackbeard back in the ring. Ligermask, who by the way, has one of my favorite attires/entrances on Riot, has such a weird plethora of moves. Maybe it's my ignorance of the character, but I broke out laughing when he followed a broken pin with two middle fingers at the referee. This is the constant action type of match I believe the vets are talking about when they mention that. Not a whole lot of stoppages, good mix of attacks, technical work, some high flying stuff, out of the ring stuff. Probably my favorite one on the card because of the flow and mix to be honest.

 

Every time Cort does an RP, I wish I got to see more tag matches. I understand logistically why it doesn't happen, but he does a hell of a job making me excited to watch them whenever they DO happen. We need more tag teams on Riot.

 

Anyways, as I was saying, fuck Kassidy Hayes. Without H2-No and his own parade of craziness on the show, he would easily be my most fun to hate wrestler. Does a great job being hateable IN-MATCH too. That main event was kind of all over the place, although there was some big time unexpected spots that I'll mark for. I know multi-man matches will always be tough, though.

 

Also, attempted vehicular manslaughter is endorsed by Riot. What a show!

Thank you. The promo was what was suppose to make the match length make sense. It’s a different style than I’m used to because the last fed I was in was matches that were 20-30 minutes average. I’ll take this into account though.
