Anthony Martin looking very impressive and what a way to debut, keep it up. Parker Stevens is really starting to carry that hardcore title. Really like what you have going at the moment think it's going to be hard for anyone to take that hardcore title away from him. Some Really nice RPs by a lot of people. And Wow i never saw the main event coming. Poor AJ he had that match won but Sensation as usual is throwing his weight around. Well I suppose a wins a win and congrats to Blake Majin. Really look forward to see what happens next week. A win is a win? Umm, I made the bastard tap, and I don't remember tapping once. Wonder Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 Twas a great Riot once again... and the year kicks off as it should... with me... and an RP THAT SHODL HAVE BEEN POSTED LATER IN THE NIGHT... but the fact I was about 3 hours past deadline when I posted it gives shortman a pass... first match of 08 is ME again as it should be... and Smythe DaWonder is pinned for the 6th time in 6 total matches involving DJ Chino... and my first title jobbing was a decent one... Chino`s entrance was gold... I won`t comment on my own match tho.. Guybrush is poison`s BITCH haha... Anthony Martin had Stevens... clearly... what a debut... I`m sure Pee Stee was regretting sitting in on that match... and Pee Stee has also removed the nonfitting wizard kick finisher... and has went to the gheyer and cheesier elbow drop from the top rope... you get 0 style points for that finisher pee stee... VV is a fantastic RP`er... hopefully when he find Kang James he doesn`t find an ass whoopin... Jay forwarns AJ about the screwjob.... not sure why he didn`t see it coming... CJ was owned by strider... match wasn`t even close... super Nate scared James into jobbing... clearly... how you lose to a guy that just walks into you the whole match... James I was disappointed... Versus and Blade had some million dollar RP`s... Guybrush`s attempted jacking of Blades headphones... lol.... the screwjob was good... wasn`t great... looked like a cover up of a back story... like an AJ`s been suspended so he had to drop the title thingy... which is sad because he had such a great run as champion... you can`t hate the game that much AJ... can you??? Versus Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 Unreal. I'm re-energized because of this show. VV great RP, but I'd keep an eye out for Kang...he's crafty. Guy's rp was great as always. Smythe/Chino, awesome match. There was a point in that match, where Chino goes to do a backflip kick thing, and Smythe catches him right at the proper time for the Edgecution (or whatever it was). Strider's off to a good start, but don't fret CJ, it's still early in the game, you'll improve. Shoot, you're the underdog, if you don't lose a few, you can't keep that title. Now although, I agree about the "I'm a badass and I'm comin for ya" hype vids, but the jail cell one isn't an "I'm a badass" hopefully it's, "I'm coming back" but sticking to the storyline he was in. Personally, I'm a fan. AJ/Majin...friggin awesome. AJ's beatings of Majin/Casey outside of the ring were great. And that surprise ending was f'n ballsy. BALLSY! Oh, and Jay... Vincent Valmont Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 Like I said, heres my own review on the first Riot of 2008. Smythe vs Chino - A nice opener, I wonder if SDW will ever beat Chino? If you've seen one Chino vs SDW, you've seen them all, nice try, though Smythe at trying to get the title away from Chino. :) By the way, awesome intro, DJ. Parker Stevens vs Anthony Martin - Like, everyone else is saying, very good debut, I was impressed by Martin, and shocked at same time, Pee Stee :(. I miss the Lost Boys theme. Overall, this matched proved 2 things, Parker is someone not to mess with, and for not to take debuting rooks, lightly, anymore. CJ vs Strider - I always enjoy Strider's matches, for some odd reason. CJ, did a good job, better than what some probally expected, but thats CJ for ya. The ending was a bit predictable, IMO, but it was still good, nonetheless. Parker Stevens vs Otomo - Good Hardcore match, both wrestlers, gave it their all, but it seems that, even doing double duty, Parker is a threat, and as said before, that hardcore title, might be on him for a while. Kaang James vs Nate Ortiz - Damn, I thought this match would be down to the last person to make a mistake, would lose, but I was wrong. Kaang put up a effort, but Nate, well, Nate is Nate, damnit. AJ vs Majin - Wow, is all I have to say, and then some. For the simple fact, that the ending was funny, but evil at the same time. It's about time, he loses that gold. This proves, it doesn't pay to be that damn good, and have great hair, I mean, you cant have your cake and eat it, too. Also, all the RPs were top notch, I laughed my ass off, after reading a few, my favorite RP was probally, Guy, and Poison, followed closely by Nate and Rev Inc. My match of the night goes to Aj vs Majin, it was what you expected it to be, and then with a special mix at the end. 2008, is looking very promising. Nathan Gaines Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 I rather enjoyed this edition of Riot. Vincent Valmont is turning out to be a decent Rper. Anthony Martin did a good job in his debut. Smythe continues to grow on all of us...like Mold...but growing nonetheless. Chino's entrance was well suited. Tired of the coming home video's...Gaines CUT IT OUT already. The matches were all good. Pretty interesting develpments with the main event. I'm curious to see where this goes. Holy crap numbnuts I'm not submitting the videos anymore. Good Lord!!!
