I'll be quick about this one.

First of all, man, we really don't want CG to enjoy his own finisher. Not that I've ever hit it, but damn. GG Kass. Fuckin' animal lmao.

MATCHES

Mujera / Marisa vs. Val / Flojo

I actually really like Val's new character, but I hope she sticks with it. I barely got to see Valcano, but the new look, new attire, and new moveset all bang pretty hard, and she had an awesome showcase here. She looked like a monster. Mujera and Flojo definitely pulled their weight too, and got me really excited for their future work.

Marisa, I don't like. I'm gonna come out and say it. I'm glad the 'turbo thot' thing has taken a back seat to her being a massive twat, but I still don't like the character. In ring? She's pretty alright. She got absolutely dog-walked throughout the entire match, though, and definitely fitting her characterization, she REFUSED to tag out until the issue was basically forced. That kind of cocky heel confidence costs you matches, and I respect her dedication to it. Solid showing from just about everyone involved.

Christian Garcia vs. Maxx Edwards

I don't normally comment on my own work, but my performance was abysmal in this and i'm not proud of it. Still, I have to give all the credit in the world to Maxx for being an awesome sport and dance partner. Sure, the match was only a little bit longer than the promo, but it was a good showing and it's nice for Maxx to get some momentum going forward. Looking forward to seeing where he goes from here.

Elijah Sanders vs Dane Xavier

I dunno if he kept trying to hit my finisher or what, but I don't care. Still sucks to be Elijah Sanders tonight. Half the time, I don't know what in the fuck he was thinking, but it was almost funny at a certain point. I think the match dragged on a lot longer than it needed to, but the right man definitely won. Dane hitting both of his finishers was a good showcase, and his little temper tantrum when Elijah fought his shoulder up was glorious heel work.

#1 Contender Fatal Four Way

Is it too late to change my finisher? Jokes aside, it was pretty fucking hilarious to be mocked by Kass, mainly because I know he means well. I honestly thought he was going to win it, with how dominant he was. Really, K'D was the only person I DIDN'T see winning the match. Good on him, tho! Can't wait to see how that SISSAY Quartz tries to weasel his way out of a straight fight with the big man.

Solomon Caine vs Rust Cohle for the Pride Championship

I'm not going to lie, I knew how this match was going to end, but there were points where i genuinely thought I might have been wrong. You can never count out Solomon Caine, and he showed a LOT of heart in this match. Sure, it only took one Carcosa, and sure, he got the Riptide at the top of the ramp, but I genuinely want to see him again, which is something I would not of said if you'd asked me around Lution season. I'm more hyped for both his next move and for Rust's fight for the North American Title than I already was.

Segments and promos

I worked really hard on my video promo. Sorry it was too long and not very good. I'll do better next time. It was gonna be a voice promo but like I said, my mic broke. It would have come across better as a voice promo, but what can you do except... ahem... 'settle down, rookie.' I just didn't want to throw away a literal week of work. Sorry.

Dillinger Enterprises once again were all over the card, but I think the beauty of having a three-man unit plus Dillinger, and not all three of us together at once as a trio, is that it doesn't feel like we're overexposed. It's almost like two separate units, especially with what Dane is doing with Cort. I look forward to seeing how that progresses, and I'm enjoying our American hero clowning on the guy who signs my paychecks.

A couple of new debuts and some big action from our newest and returning guys! Alyssa Marceaux and Kota Rain are both definitely gonna help spice up the women's division, Val set up her new gimmick early, Owen and James Fraser got into a good ol' scrap, Colby McCallum and Telos ALMOST got into a scrap, and Joshua Tucker's back! Lots of good stuff there.

Derek getting revenge for the Rookie Rush by proxy, you love to see it. I will say though, I dunno WHERE you heard Mantis was French, buddy. His last name is O'Grady, for fuck's sake!

A couple of mystery motherfuckers, tho! I'm thinking that mysterious man that attacked Marisa's homeboys might have something to do with the harassments Alex Asher's been getting, but that's just me guessing. Same with the weirdos stalking Iceman and Blaine. No idea what's going on with either of them, but I feel like the payoff with Iceman needs to come soon. I've been seeing vignettes and promos related to this since I arrived over a month ago.

Well, looks like Judge, Jordan, and Colin might be taking Sensation's advice, and once again, Colin also making multiple stops on the show to really tie his story together. It's clear that there's at least a begrudging respect between Colin and Tre Golden, but how far that respect goes is anyone's guess. I just know I'm looking forward to their inevitable one on one clash.

Wrestling Club really getting their shit in this week. It's nice to see Dylan doing a little more than just standing around, as I feel like if he spent a little more time with us he might get far. Same with Chris, but Chris has been getting a lot more active. While I absolutely despise them in character, OOC, both handlers are wonderful young folks and I hope they put in the effort that we all know they're capable of.

Danny, Danny, Danny, you are about to either get the Orton treatment or do a reverse Orton.

Aww, Emp... honey, I'm so sorry. Here, let me go buy you some ice cream and a copy of Desert Hearts so we can have our gay angst in peace. Then, we go burn down the nearest forest. #TurraDaturasisOverParty

The women's division, I think, was the real star of the show in terms of segments and vignettes. From the debuts, to Valk's promo, to Marisa's promo, to Mujera/Marisa and Flo/Val's utter lack of cohesion out of the ring, and the former's lack of cohesion in it, to the Blaine segment, to the Emp/Ashley/Terra stuff, just, wow. Way to go, girls. Anyone who says our women's division is weak just needs to watch this show and see otherwise. Hell, some of our girls didn't even make an appearance! No Debbie D or Bertha or House of Faith in sight, and those are some badass bitches on their own. Y'all keep an eye on this women's title scene, it's about to get SPICY SPICY.

I haven’t read the words yet, but I will for sure.

The matches tonight were entertaining. I’m just gonna go off the cuff here.

Salami and Rust was not what I thought it would be. I’m very surprised how that match went down, not disappointing in my opinion, it leaves a lot of room for story telling, and I can see a big pay off in the Near future. I’ve had matches where I couldn’t kick out after one move. Don’t know how or why. I was speechless and couldn’t believe it.

The Discount Hollywood Star? Maxx Edwards Charging full price tickets now after that matinee special.

CG: no disrespect, I’ve been exactly in that same situation plenty of times, knowing you can do better and just havin a bad day on the sticks. It happens. Good job not really panicking.

Marissa. The crotch shot visuals, surprised we still have a YouTube channel hahahahaha also, been there myself. Got dog walked and couldn’t tag or do anything I wanted. I know that pain all too well.

The new Val Vorheese. I love it. She’s very scary. I dig it. For real.

I’ll be back. There’s more but I gotta run.

————— I’m back still quick thoughts.

Kota Rain promo: you look Absolutely Marvelous And the promo was awesome, I love promos in rhyme and poems. So much hidden in between words and meaning. I absolutely love it!

The Other Nate cut his hair because he knows the Iceman NATE Fuggin MAC has the most glorious locks in OCW so he has the only locks that matter now as well. Dig it! But he did cut a great promo! Even if he said it’s not his best in VC, I truly enjoyed it,Also I do like the glorious new fresh look.

Valks promos never cease to amaze me. The ability to make such a visual delight with skills that surpass most.

Poor Danny Watts. Sorry the Wolves, Just Derek, my man, killed Mantis for you. Nice forfeit win! Good job Derek. Smash! Destroy! Do work son!

Oooh TWC killed Kass and Cobra. JC didn’t even take his glasses off. Just Damn. That powerbomb folded Kass. That looked deadly.

Ok. Time to finish reading.

Note: If I don't mention your promo/segment/match, it doesn't mean I didn't like it or I don't care, I just didn't have anything I found interesting to say about it.

Absolutely loved the Flojo-Val promo. Played well with both characters and got me into the match.

We got a mystery “Bionic Beauty Queen” who is an “imminent arrival”. Very weird but interesting video and now I really want to see who this is.

Props to Flojo and Val on the win. I feel like Marissa’s arrogance of refusing to tag out was played very well as I like to see heels that don’t work together by default like you sometimes see.

Really liked the Garcia promo, just ran a little long. He should’ve walked out, said “F You fans. F TWC. F The Whole Reese Family. DDE Forever. Imma go beat up Maxx Edwards, I’m out.”

Mantis gets beat up again, by an even more random person. Just Derek. Who jumped him because he faked HMR? And now Mantis is French? I can kinda see the story trying to be told under all of this but I feel like it could be more effectively and more cohesively communicated than just having Mantis getting beaten up every week. But there are definitely people that love this so maybe I’m in the minority.

Asher wrote for the show! And it’s a mystery which means (in theory) we’ll get more! I’m sure for some people the ship has sailed long ago but those people can just read the previous statements as sarcasm. He gets promoted and starts writing. I’m sure some people might see that as a negative but if he didn’t write I’d see that as worse so I’m not gonna rag on him. Maybe we’ll see more or maybe this is part of a bigger storyline and I’m greatly overprojecting Asher’s involvement.

I’m also glad to see a continuation of the Iceman mystery apartment angle. I was worried it was lost in the shuffle and dropped but it’s not. It was also continued correctly. This week we got to see and hear a little more than the last time.

Wrestling Club also beatdown numerous people during this show. For me, this has become very boring/predictable and makes beatdowns a lot less special to me. It’s especially frustrating because we’ve seen SO MUCH characterization among the group in their presentation alone and the little words we’ve seen from them but instead of getting more of that we get to seem them jump anyone who is remotely associated to the group at the time with little to no explanation. Also having that many moving parts makes management a little more difficult which we saw throughout the night with the different attires we saw from Wrestling Club members.

I also loved the Dane-Dillinger promo. Really liked Dane’s list of grievances except for this weird logic break where Dane complains about quality of towels in OCW locker rooms but then Dennis later implies that Dane and all of DDE has their own private DDE locker rooms.

Justice INC, LLC is a team of 3 writers that are not only great but versatile. We saw it last week with the basketball promo and we see it this week with the graduation party.

Quartz-Ryu’s reunion promo was just gold. Spider doing what he does best and twisting history to make his major lapses seem like a stroke of genius. I wish we got a little more explanation on Spider’s interaction with Rust other than just TTT*awkward Spider Smile* but these last 3 written promos were just banger after banger.

Jay said that Dane v Elijah was like“2 old people who haven’t touched the sticks in a long time playing” and he’s absolutely right. Match was not bad but ran a little long due to “payback neglect” but it was a good win for Dane at the end of the night.

Archer reportedly starting a feud with Jeff Bezos after being blacklisted from using Amazon products and services.

Cort-Dennis promo was also money referencing both character’s personal and shared history and seeing how that history shapes the characters we see today.

Kota Rain video promo would honestly be really good if we had a different font and more importantly, some more prefacing. This is our second time hearing from Kota and it comes off too strong. To make an analogy, we’ve been hit with heavy showers without any overcast or drizzle beforehand.

I really wasn’t a fan of this Colin-Tre(WOV) promo. It didn’t make me wanna see them square off as they really just collectively said “F Danny Watts” here. I also was rubbed the wrong way by the line “maybe if people weren’t trying to do the ooh will Dominion clean sweep the belts story, we would’ve got it” referencing the Lution triple threat as I can’t help but to think that the line WASN”T directed at staff. But I have absolutely no insight on the situation so I firmly accept the fact that I very well might be talking out my behind.

This Tony-TWC promo is exactly why I wanna see more from TWC. It was such a good promo. I also noticed this Elliott we’re seeing now is a lot more similar to his discord persona, as opposed to the verbose introspective Elliott we’ve seen before. I think this Elliott is a way better fit for TWC and can be better used to carry his momentum after defeating Kass but only time will tell.

That Emp-Moore-Daturas vid segment was amazing. We see some major(and romantic?) development between Emp and Moore referencing their history and all before we’re ripped away from that interaction by the heel Daturas who burned the Sugar Shack.

I also wasn’t too much of a fan of this DDE-Jon promo. I liked Dillinger’s and Jon’s involvement but this Parca-Garcia dynamic feels very off to me. Especially this:

Garcia: Look at this man. He doesn’t recognize.

Parca drops his head into his hand as he let’s out a deep sigh.

Parca: Christian, PLEASE tell this rookie he better recognize. I don’t like when people don’t recognize their El Primero.

This seems very unnatural to me like some Discord back and forth mixed with some Tribal Chief shenanigans. If Christian is this scrappy Ambitious youngster, I fail to see the reason why he chooses to be Parca’s over-zealous hypeman. I feel like there are a million other ways to go about that dynamic. I feel like Christian could have been a scared Parca’s meat shield always willing to do his dirtywork as I thought he was. Or “CG2” could have literally been “El Segundo” and been the basis for DDE’s future and him and Parca could’ve had a Big Brother-Little Brother dynamic or a “You help me get mine and I’ll help you get your’s when it’s your time” Mentor-Trainee relationship. I saw the CG I want to see earlier in the show with his segment and the beginning of this promo but I just don’t see what Parca has done for CG to warrant all of this. The only person CG should be vehemently defending is Dennis since it seem like he’s the one who took the chance on him and signs dem checks. Maybe I missed a promo Idk.

One thing I noticed throughout the show was there was a lot of tiny errors here and there. From a promo being submitted fully in bold to JOHN CENA making an appearance and a lot of other small things here and there. I HOPE this is just me being really nit-picky and isn’t a sign of people trying to do too much too fast.

Overall, this show was really a meh show to me. And don’t get me wrong it was still a good show but the OCW scale is pretty skewed. There wasn’t really many bad segments and there definitely were standouts but I feel like last Riot was WAY better. IDK, has OCW spoiled my taste? Possible. Maybe I’ll watch next week’s Raw to bring my expectations back down.

I understand my rp come up bold making it hard to read. The whole point to Harvey’s segment with Ted was to give the OCW Universe another way of handling Ted’s blunders besides crushing him backstage with words or fists.

So I decided to do something different while making my stance as “face” stronger but showing Ted respect. Respect is something Harvey is very big on right now and demands it at this point of his career. Earlier years he could careless. But now it’s something that’s important to him given his resume in the past 4yrs.

This promo also tied in Empress and Blaine’s hard work into me, boosting Parca’s heel heat while I kept at ignoring his shenanigans (for now perhaps) and re-learning some hard lessons that helped him become The Longest Reigning OCW Champ.

That is all because this is becoming words b. Thank you and good day all!

Usually I don't clarify Colin's moments of meta knowledge or fourth wall leanings to keep people guessing and keep my stories open, but as I really don't want this to catch on or be taken out of context or whatever, but I can confirm that this was not directed at the staff. Colin was very much dragged into the orbit of Tre and Danny's existing story, so now it's gotta be turned on its head and treated as a more fleshed out continuation and exploration of that for both characters in the wake of Lution (the Consequences, huehue). To me it wouldn't feel right to compartmentalise the Colin/IC story I've told all year and just go 'ok Colin and Tre fight now', so yeah, don't worry, there's always the next segment to try and hit the mark on the next story beat if I've not told the story clearly yet.
