Spoke to Gaines on AIM about this. I don't think he was attacking me. He's entitled to say whatever he wants. If he feels it wasn't my best work then that's cool, if he think's I'm god that's cool also.

 

People shouldn't be afraid to voice what they think because others might take it the wrong way.

Still seemed harsh to me, but if you're ok w/ it...I just forgot it happened.

First match was to slow for Ex IMO. Just I don't know didn't really like it much and you can tell the rook has a lot to learn. The slap doesn't reach BD most of the time which killed him but I got high hopes for the new kid.

 

Vega seemed to be a 36, only reason I can tell is cause it took him forever to get on the top TB which usually mean's his speed it really down there.

 

I gotta hand it to Kavito he was kicking ass at the beginning of his match only thing is I'd say reverse don't try to get a strike in while someone else is striking. Seeing that made me a sad panda :(. During the end of it tho it got extremely hectic. One thing I will say is Rox becoming the number #1 contender to the top title in the Ex Division so early in his career really show's where the title has gone or is going I mean this is technically the guy's debut match but I won't say he isn't trying to get out there cause he is.

 

Trance comes off as one of those Edgehead dudes on Smackdown with his 09 caw. That being said Ryder and Trance work well together in matches. One thing I've noticed in the previous matches is a lot of slow backing away which isn't the case in this match which gives me hope that 09 will be a good wrestling year. MOTN IMO and a good match but it doesn't beat the Riot match you all had ;).

 

3 Way's are extremely hectic and I didn't like them from the start now I'm starting to despise them. That being said Trips seems to be a dominate force and he showed it in this match and welcome back to the man returning let's hope he sticks around this time (Not the one in the match, welcome back to you to ;)). I look forward to seeing the fued between the two guy's that did the little end thing.

 

I'll comment on the RP's a little later when I'm done reading them all.

Welp this is my thoughts on TnT. Its a bit vague as I try not to spoil. Its an unedited version of what I see. I hope those who took part in TNT, and those looking to take part in the future give it a read. Its also in show order. Coming in at a whopping 22977 words! Term Paper mother fuckers. So lets begin shall wee.

Prop 8, on the 1 hand I like it, on the other hand I do not. I am not sure if I told Ryder before. But I am trying to make the promo room a little more pivotal in The overall success of OCW. Which Means that just like it was back in the Day in helping to move a story along.

 

Also doing something like this pretty much keeps the opening of a show stuck with them no matter what. It was well written I just wish people would at least try to use the promo room more. Overall it continues to show Ryder in a new light which is nice. Kip Continues his douchey ways, and his douchiness has rubbed off on Ryder, who I will now dub as "Sweet" Ryder. However it seems like Ryder is trying really hard to be an asshole.

 

When Kip himself doesn't try at all and just seems to get under your skin. I would look at some of kips work and maybe not try as hard to be so vengful. Kip is sort of just a dick, its hard to describe. He says douchy things, he does douchy things.

 

While Ryder is more that Hollywood Agent with an inferiority complex.If thats what your going for by all means. If your trying to match Kips douchiness then switch it up. Having him flop about like an idiot was lulls. But you need to know "No Homo" is only used to prevent being called gay, example

Ryder: So What did Smythe Taste Like? No Homo

Conrad: Canadian Bacon and Watermelon! No Homo

 

The comedy continues and it further proves the inferiority complex as when confronted Ryder turns "Sweet".

 

Just asking a question and putting No Homo on it sort of kills its mini gimmick, watch for that next time. Case in point the final few statements, While it could sorta fit, in this case I wouldnt have used it. ITs alright you will get better with time. The youtube links at the end sorta confuse me, but I get where the ideas are coming from. Maybe use Sham-Wow for a PPV. Haha.

I like the Variety of suits used in 2009, I am hoping more other than the Open collar will be used. I also like the fact that some folks use suits when in non match regalia, and others use street cloths.

 

It offers a nice set of variety. Example someone like Nate would usually always be in a suit, someone like steve would Only ever wear his Wrestling attire (Yea The Steve is that guy). And a guy like Seth, or Anthony would almost certainly have street clothes during non match vids. And props for using your continued theme from last year.

 

Although its almost as annoying as Smythes new "Captain of this ship around here" There is something to be said for consistency. I like the promo a tiny bit of kayfab, a tiny bit of shoot, and some heart. Its nice to see a char develop. Once upon a time this man couldnt write 5 sentences. Granted its still the "I am such a bad man" Sorta thing but all good things take time. And for the record its Queer bait.

 

I could go at length debating the legitimacy of the Roleplay point by point. But that would be playing into the little drop of shoot placed in it. I could go into a counter-RP about how dare you sir!, but that would play into the tiny bit of Kayfabe. This is why the RP works, it makes you think. Its nice to see someone trying to run with the ball given the fluke that was the Jeff Hardy'D Vincent Valmont. One can only wait will it come to frutition. Or will someone like me do something really really really really bad. :)

I want to open up by saying. I always appreciate when people submit work. I know for some it isnt easy but I also when work is submitted it will also become the subject of critique. The idea of OCWFED is A B C D "Always Be Character Developing" I shit you not I just made this up and it works.

 

The premise is to get someone back to there old self, so a simple slippy sloppy and wham I IS BAD MAMA JAMA Again!!!. I dont buy it. Further more you should take pride in your work. It wasnt enough you said you saw a show when you obviously and in grand fashioned didn't and got called out on it. But when I see someone put a name just initials it irks me.

 

It shows me that you really dont have pride in your work and your just going through the motions. Its a new year.

People can get away with VFM, because the average OCWFED Speller is just above 7th grade, present company included. But to constantly see. BD for Black Dragon: OD: For Omega Dragon. Just shows me you dont have pride in your work, and that is no good.

 

You will get to where you need to be you just have to think a little before you write. Look at Seth, you dont have to write lines and lines. Some are good storytellers, others help move a point. Play to your strong points.

I really dont know what to make of D.Jones look. I figured he would have been more ethnic. but he sorta looks like How I picture karim,A really really really really really really really really, light dark person.Or like me a translucent brown person.

 

The kid looks a bit like an English, Samoan, if thats possible.Music is nice but it sorta doesnt match the look.Ill holler at D Jones and ask him just what the hell is the deal. Overall I like the look its just weird to see so many extremes. Black Dragon looks a little bit more like Baxter everyday and thats cool in my opinion.

 

Music kills me thou I hate when people use WWE Music as there own. Scream lazy and makes me sad. I thought after a few months in the new year a change would take place. But I have a feeling Baxter is only doing this while he turns back into Baxter, so now reason to change it. Bunch of taunts in a few seconds of them are lame to me, Taunts should be during pivotal moments, like when you do an awesome counter, hit a cool spot, get revenge etc.

 

On a side note, props to the recorder for the smooth beat at the start of the match, is that Gnarls Barkley?. You can tell the recorder has some tight musical taste. Its that new ecclectic hip-hop, and it sounds like some lupe!. I have to say the music mix for this match helps it.

 

The tight beats keep the match flow going. I dont do full match recaps, since thats not my style. The mat Technicians do that job. As I said I play to my strengths and just speak on what stands out to me.

 

Not sure how I feel about some of Black Drags tactics, bout mid way he shoves D away and follows by a running bulldog. Ill let Smythe or some such speak on it. A SPECIAL MOTHERFUCKING MARKOUT FOR The Magnificent THEME During the match. D.Jones is winning many music points. SOUL GLO Motherfucker!!!! Buffalo Skate...CHURRRRRRRRCH! I really have to say again how the music keeps the match going.

 

Its obvious D Jones is a Rook, and it sorta looks like Baxter is becoming confident. Maybe its a new game haha. There is a nice counter by jones at the end on the lower post that would be worthy of a TNT Vid. come to think of it this match has allot of clean shots that would make for a nice TNT Intro Vid.

 

The music stops which means the match was a little to drawn out. A very interesting finisher that gets no sold I might add.

Ah yes The Captain of the Ship. There is something to be said about Char development. Joss Whedon is great at it, get used to that name I will be bringing it up allot through the year. Thats the guy that Created, Buffy, Angel, Firefly, Serenity. Dr.Horrible etc. This man s work is so good, there are even college lectures dedicated to analyzing it. I digress the point is, one if his stong suites is char development.

 

You can see how he takes a character and you can see how they develop over time. Which means you get attached to them because they continue to grow and develop. Smythe has grown and showing from his work over the past year he will continue to grow and evolve.

 

The 1st few opening statements between him and that cunt I call my daughter. Put a mental picture in your head. I can see the frustration every time Tiff has to deal with, or communicate with Smythe. If there was a Tiffany / Picard Facepalm it would be used every time Smythe enters Tiffs Office.

 

The exchanges between these 2 have been classic. And the line of the night has to be "The Beard that no sells death". I like the idea of this storyline, when it was pitched to me I wasn't for it for the simple fact Nate lol returns.

 

However its really different than the norm, and it makes me think there is allot of potential for growth with this angle as it Involves The Bloodline, Nate, Tiffany, and in a small part Mr.Sensation. Take notes guys this is how you help put a faction over.

I wont lie Rox is growing on me just a bit, although what I would honestly like to see is more random rock references. Think of every tv show, movie that had Metal, and Rock Stars. WE LOVE YOU FORT WORTH!!! "Say that in Canada". I just have this vision of Tenacious D, The guys from "Air Heads" with a sprinkling of "High Fidelity" and "Empire Records" thats 1 band and a bunch of movies if you didnt know. Poor Kavito looks like a Hamas freedom fighter, or Generic Iranian 01. I miss his Hallah Hallah Attire.

What the s hit happened to Vega, he looks like one of those Evil Anime Clown spirits. Im actually a bit frightened. It looks sorta like a hybrid of Tyro Kraven and Vega. As for the 1st bout in a non spoiler fashion, it is to be said that all parties involved apologize.

 

Some of these caws aren't finished. Granted there has been more than enough time to level them up, when people have more than 1 things can get hairy and it shows. However this goes out to all parties.

 

If your not ready you need to tell us. We assume everyone is rip roaring to go if you dont speak we are going to book you its not our fault you didnt level up after 2 months. Massive respect points thou for deleveled

There are plenty of people who wouldnt even compete under these circumstances. And then there are those who try despite it. I like these kind of people who try despite all odds, instead of trying to have the perfect set of circumstances for optimum win.

Without even scrolling, I can tell from the 1st 4 lines this RP is something I am going to enjoy. You get a visual, and from my standpoint you get a fingerprint. And the print matches to A Mad Man!!.

 

Nothing like a rousing debate about Soy vs Tofu before some asshole comes kicking down your door. And the 1st 3 lines effectively become the new quote of the night. "I would… in the world; I would… on a girl. I’d kick it down, here or there, I’d kick it down anywhere.

 

I do not like doors which are jammed, I do not like them, 'cus Mad I am." I like this episode of TNT because as I progress all of my points keep getting proven. Earlier I spoke about char development. And guess what Morrison reveals a pivotal storyline from 2 years ago that helped shape both chars today. Yea I marked. I feel like an english major.

 

Mikey has a certain style of RP Which is a formula for success. He offers visuals, and little moments in words. These help you get a mental picture. This is good because it helps with the "ITS REAL TO ME DAMMIT CROWD" Like myself. The conversation continues with little quips and follies back and forth. And for the record, I dont need to wipe my ass, I have someone else do it for me..Jerk.

 

I really enjoyed this RP. Its longer because well the person who wrote it is prone to long drawn out methodical RPs, similar to Fausto Pre 2006, and Majin 2006-2007. I really wish more people did work like this, they stand out and are a joy to read. Sorta like a violent, wrestling related readers digest.

I heard this tune before, and I enjoyed it. So its official as of this moment I-Gen is ok in my book. Its funny I mentioned Wardrobe at the start and a point comes out later on. Deano looks like something Deano would wear, and Is Gaines wearing Mascara? I swear Gaines is The Love child of Don Johnson and some mulatto woman who was an extra on Silk Stalkings or something. Kanye West Meets Grover!.

 

I swear im not trying to hate its the nose or something! Regardless I enjoyed this, and hint for vid makers this is quality footage. Bonus points for not using the same jeans, I know how easy it is to be lazy in 2k9 since you have to actually do things by hand.

 

Something that non of the kids are used to. We get the usual damage,spin control regarding Kang James. But this time it works, it looks like I-Gens back is to the wall but 2 strong they are holding it down.

 

I like the mention about Spoon, for the 95% that dont pay attention Mania and Deano fought plenty of times with Spoon more often than not coming out on top.

 

Last Weeks Riot match was to me a passing of the torch, thats not to say Spoon is over the hill, he cant even be bothered to make it to the hill!!! (low I Know) Kidding aside that match was a OCW History buffs dream conclusion. Moving on seems despite the world coming apart around them, I-Gen is going into Human Trafficking next week!. Cochise as old as it is, suits "Sweet" Ryder. ITS ALEX SHELLY!!!. I kid its the EX Champion. While these guys have fought so much over the past month. I was expecting Aries, I even spoke directly to Aries well I guess not directly enough. I would have preferred Aries vs Ryder like it was booked but hey what can you do. Trance is still taller than aries despite slimming down. Which leads me to the conclusion Sweet Ryder is just a midget. Way to clothesline the ref :(

 

The music makes me want to go back to 1999 Turn on The WB and Watch Dawsons Creek. Not to say I watched Dawsons Creek, but you get the idea! Typical match fair Ryder and Trance are fairly even in Skill. These guys some how manage to put up some zany spot, which I know Trances loves to do.

 

I dont mind it so much that they keep fighting it helps a fued. But they aren't in a feud or so much as a rivalry more than than just being in the same place at the same time!. A shout out for Karim towards the middle, ohhh ahhhhhhhhhhhh On that note id mark if Karim came back and took all divisions by storm.

 

Too bad he is content with posting pics of himself on OCW instead :(. Haha the ending moments of the match reminded me of Fire Pro Referee spamming. Oh in case you kids missed it Fist of fury moves End with a knockdown so dont go for a grapple just knock them on there ass.

Unfortunately SBK No Sells, so what remains is now a Furry Cute Cuddly Sidekick!. SBK is the star of this promo as he uses his intellect to fire himself across the room, while Blade, and VFM debate. I would sing my about being high but why bother. We can All agree that Blade + VFM + SBK + BSBW (Big Sassy Black Woman) = Comedy.

But this seems faster than than normal matches I guess due to 2009. I need to say again TURN ON COUNTS. IF not for you for me as a courtesy. And yes I give a fuck. I wont spoil the end But I will say it was very mark worthy. BAW GAWD BAW GAWD.

 

Upon watching this I have to renig my statement about having the Smythe nate segment ending the show. This is quite awesome finish. Although its not really the same finish someone tries to steal someone elses thunder haha. IRONY I THINK NOT HAHAHAHAHA You guys need to communicate more.

All in all for me from my point of a view a solid show. From my point I dont review so much as critique what I like and don't like. I dont think the rest of my analysis will continue to be this long but who knows. Im working on speed and effiencency. At the end of the day if I enjoy the show these dont annoy me. So so far so good.
