When I logged on to OCW this morning, and I hit the 'new posts' tab, when I saw that Riot had 7 pages of discussion, I was actually very suprised, and thought things were on the up, then I realised 6 pages of it was nothing but bitching....way to go.

And not to get involved in all the shit, but I was as shocked as anyone to be picked for the ME, i even told Leon that i didn't deserve to be in the match as I have only been back like 3 weeks myself and there were other people I could think of.

But he picked who he picked, and its done now.....onto the show :)

 

EDIT-Thanks trips for pointing out my mistake in my rp :( Its because the attack was filmed in the Vengance arena and I had that in my mind for some reason.....

 

In the ME Leon and Blade seemed to tyler the shit out of each other whilst me and Carlos managed to have a pretty fair battle, with him reversing 2 of my finishers, respect little man, and the ending marks, sorry i mean 'speaks' for itself :D

It seems my picks have started a bit of controversy...

 

I got a pm from Jay Tuesday morning telling me i can pick my opponents. Having two days to do the match both agreed it was best to pick Euros.

 

I looked through the thread and saw that Trips you picked CJ Hoppus? Let me ask you what has CJ done recently to get a Pride title shot? Much as i like CJ he's not really been around to come into that type of match and also had the red ring of death so :p

 

So i went through the roster and i saw Blade who yeah doesn't have a lot of wins behind him. But since returning in December has been working had with Versus in an on going feud. Always rps every week and thought well if Blade was to some how win, be fun to see Versus and Blade use the Pride Title in there feud.

 

So there you have it Trips, Blade wasnt chosen because he is Versus buddy or Jays. He was chosen to the fact if i lost i know the title would get the prestige it deserves. Kinda like when Stone Cold used to be intercontinental champion.

 

Now Park just got back but he has come straight back and going into a feud with Guy. Only being a few active Euros atm that weren't already booked for Riot saw Park was a great choice. again if he was to win i know him and Guy could put it to use in there feud again adding the prestige it deserves.

 

As cruz pointed out Trips, you got a title shot on a return so really don't know why you complain so much.

 

Carlos Cruz was the underdog of the match, if he won i could have seen everyone marking out and to why i thought he fit the last place of the match and again adding the prestige that the pride title deserves.

 

So there you have it Trips... My reasons to why them guys got picked and now i want to mention something else that has been bugging me a while.

 

You brought up points by Versus.

 

I remember earning my championships: You see i remember earning my championships, i had to win to get into the FI, I pulled out a win in the FI then had to go though Guy and Nate who weren't easy by any means. Now though people just want everything handed to them because they think they deserve it. Never once ever in OCW did i go up to a champion and say i think i deserve a shot at your title because ive been here a year or two. Took me a year and a half to earn mine. If i wanted it i earned it. Then spoke to that person. Thinking and deserving are two very different things in OCW.

 

I remember making OCW better, by giving people feedback: Your right, the only time we get 8 pages of show discussion when it involves bitching and crying. Pretty sad really. I remember days in 07 where we talked about peoples feud and gimmick changes. I remember in my early days my moveset was once horrid against Nate. Then on that show thread everyone told me what they thought and what i should do to improve. I miss them days because there not around anymore but hey what you going to do. All comes down to people being selfish and jealous and only caring about themselves. If you want a better explanation go and look at Majins post.

I remember caring more about feuds then titles: Me too, all a few people care about these days is the title and not really anything to do with a feud at all. Some people just expect guys like me and Versus and Nate to give some of you a personal push to get you to the ME. I got to the ME by working hard in what i do, i did get a lot of help from the guys who i feuded with and we all put fourth the work because we enjoyed it. Just a note this isnt meaning you and Frank Trips. I actually like what you guys have been doing and think its great to see you helping people.

 

I have really tried my best to give people advice and tell them want to do in order to move up the ladder, but it seems half the time it is just making peoples egos bigger. So from now on i am not going to do that anymore.

 

That isnt just aimed at you Trips it is actually aimed to a lot of people and what they should think about.

The Bloodline group intro is badass, i marked, big props to SDW for putting that together.

 

Kang vs Trance-Wow...I HATE Kangs theme muusic...and i refuse to call you King..you are kang till the day you die :D get your old theme music pronto!

Not much to say about this match really, was a standard hvy beating a lhy, no huge markout moments, like Trips said, the follow up after the springboard was kinda meh..but thats one of my pet peeves, i HATE when people follow up off a rebound attack, or especially a sig move, unless its into a finisher..taunt....show the crowd you are a badass!

I mark for Trance's sig...Kang with the sharpshooter.....hmmm..suppose i can get used to that.

bTW, is there any point to that silly plaster on Trance's face? it looked gay on Nelly, it looks gay on Alex Shelley...is there a point to it?

 

Deano's intro is full of win..some how it screams 'high energy'.

 

Poe vs Kip- Kip's intro is awesome, the Boa and the shades are a nice touch..lol..there's something i never thought i'd say.

This was a good match,both men started off aggressive, fast paced, maybe a little to many runing attack at the beggining, but the match was goin fine...i marked when kip top rope elbowed Poe out of the ring, and i marked for Poe's sig move, thats a dam nice move......i liked how poe never used the kip up perk, as he was double red for ages, and i know a few people who would have just gone 'BOOM! Raaaaaawr!' when they had it.

Good match guys, i have respect for Kip, just for having the balls to have that as a finishing move,there's only so many time the 'no homo' thing can be said when your kissing a guy as your finisher, and now its getting kinda gay :D

 

The Captain vs Deano-still not a fan of Smythe's theme music,mainly coz i cant get that shit outta my head :(

I'd definitly say Deano Horse is classed as ME now, and if he isnt, then he dam sure should be.

This was a close match all the way, i marked when smythe called his spear and got a flying forearm for his troubles mid run.....

This is why i like watching guys like Deano,Smythe,Kip,Nate etc in matches, not only are they trying to win, they entertain also, picking their taunts etc...it makes the matches more watchable..why the hell do you think i dance like an idiot after the 3 chops of doom? coz its entertaining :) Smythe steps up a gear towards the end, the Deano steps up, this is just like watchin a match on Raw...I think Deano waited maybe half a second too long when he tried to hit his sig, and that might have cost him the match.

Nice win for SDW...match of the night IMO.

 

Battle Royal ME-what can i say about this, people dont like the choices, i'm not gonna get into that as its been wasting thread pages for the last 7 pages...

All i will say is respect to Carlos, in a crowded ring with shitty targeting, we managed to have a decent fight, and he reversed 2 finishers, i felt bad when he went out..Leon and Blade tylered each other quite a bit, a huge markout moment for me and Blade was when he ran at Leon and missed the grab and was heading straight for me and somehow i managed to see him in time and hit him with an arm drag,it looked smooth as hell...and finally...FINALLY i reversed that dam punt! You have any idea how many times Leon has hit me with that move in dm's? never the LKO, always the dam punt! Well not this time champ :D this time you tasted elbow!

OCW has a new Pride champ...and I marked..how could i not ;) now i just gotta keep the belt away from that dam hobo.....

Really quickly before I begin to really watch the show. I picked a feud with Blade because there's history dating back 3 years. Even before Nate and me. Now, do I expect to main event shows? Clearly not with this feud. But I'm doing it because there's potential for an entertaining feud. Why Leon picked who he picked isn't my concern. My concern is putting out RP's after RP's, trying to keep you f'ers laughing and somewhat engaged. (And when I'm back on live, to kick all of your asses individually.) :)

 

I'm not asking for m.e. booking with this feud, and I didn't think it'd be a huge deal working with someone who I get along with. I didn't ask for Blade to be picked for a title shot, I've never asked for special privileges. I simply went with what I believed would have been a fun feud for myself. (Sticking to my 'feuding for the fun of it" rule I have) I don't care about titles, I've won em all...a few times.

 

If you guys are upset about me feuding with Blade, sorry. I'm sorry you're basing the quality of a feud on your personal opinions of where/what another wrestler should be doing, instead of basing it on the overall entertainment value. But you're human, I can't fault people for natural bias.

 

Trips your argument, albeit aggressive, was valid. I'm not gonna say shut the fuck up, I'm going to take into consideration what's being said and see what I can do to make sure everything in my power is fair and balanced. All the while putting on a facade of hatred and evil...ness.

 

Now...onto what's sure to be a kick nuts show.

the Bloodline is Back... I'm hoping to get the Bloodline to TOP levels... with the personalities and coohesion... it just takes everyone doing their part in the faction... I think it can work with the Bloodline in 09

 

Rox and Flem is developing well... almost a shame he was banned for so long... he's easily one of the BEST MOST PRODUCTIVE HELPFUL AND COMMITED people in OCW... you got guys like Ryder and Mania who just don't do matches and don't rp... then we have this guy that they were shitting on last year busting his ass to entertain... enough said.

 

Kang and Trance is a bust match especially with Kangs stats over what they should be... it's almost time to look into alternative booking for people who couldn't get their stats right and instead of staying under required stat decided to go over... I understand tech... but Strength is kinda hard to go 3 points over...

 

I think Kang has the best attire in 09 so far tho...

 

Nate, Deano is pretty intense and OCW history during RP's always gets a markout from me...

 

Poe get rid of that truffle shuffle crap right now!!! it's completly against your gimmick... Poe with a bad Tyler... which is no good... kinda tired of seeing Kip use the kiss as his finisher...

 

ME match went exactly qas scripted... Cruz out first followed by Blade... and top rope finisher beats ground finisher... an epidemic is starting... and I'll be stealing top rope finishers... whenever I get the chance...

A little secret too top rope finishers you only have too press LT and don't need too hit LT+RT for everyone that doesn't know how too counter them.

 

You know I actually enjoyed this thread. I know I know should actually enjoy the show, but I don't mind a little controversy. It reminds me of the old days. Which when on a friday afternoon when it's almost time too leave work and your bored and don't want too work anymore. Is somehow nice too read. Problem is not enough people speak up. Trips probably speaks up a bit too hard sometimes, but he's young so I somewhat expect that from him. He'll tone down over the years too come.

 

Now I knew Leon's choices and knew his reasonings prior before he entered the match. I asked him why these choices and he explained thus making sense too me. Though I still would have liked Seth Irving too be in there (see Seth I don't hate you I only despise you), but that's just my personal opinion and i know that it wasn't possible at the time. So just in retrospect management fully backs Leonheart choices. I know at first sight decisions don't always make sense, but there's always a meaning behind it. Even if it is just too mobilize people too take action whether it is writing a rp, comment on the show or something else that's original and creative. So just be the one on the right side by making the right amount of effort. Everything is possible, but communication is key.
