Versus Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 Tolerance, patience and overall teamwork is what we're needing here. Everyone know's Air's been gone for a bit, so how about instead of ripping him a new one, you let him know that there's been a rule put in place, and then, maybe explain that rule. Not everyone's had the time to spend on this board, some people had some real life stuff going on. Please take that into consideration when people make mistakes, and let's try to keep this upbeat. I'm awake, I've had 2 cups of coffee, and this is the first day in over 2 weeks that my fever's under 100degrees. So, I'm going to try to watch/review this riot with a full on positive outlook. I suggest that with the opportunity people have to promote their feuds next week, that we try....just TRY positive constructive critisism. Instead of "That's dumb, you're dumb, you suck." Let's give people something to work from, in a positive way. We can't be a functioning organization, if everyone wants to shit on everyone else. Then, we're just a house full of scat fans. And I would not like taking a win cause i had a perk that saved me from a hard fought match. It's not like resil actually makes the matches better. All we've seen is it cause drama and make matches run on to long as myself, smythe, and guy can attest to it running to a match way longer than needed. That's the last i'll say on resil. My comment on resil wasn't pointed directly at you Air but at the whole fed. As it's caused more harm that good. These things with versus are getting kinda weird though, I don't really see where he's going with em, or what exactly he wants out of peoples with these stips...not really catching on, a bit confusing tbh. What I want is for you guys to develop a strong creative foundation (hence the symbolism in the RP). Everyone can play the game, everyone's proven it over and over and over and over and over and over. We know we can play the game, let's get storylines that are worth reading, and get people involved. This is a way for people to show off their creative chops, by submitting their RP's to the Promo Room. This will allow each person's (or people's) rp to get individual criticism. Which will, hopefully allow each person to grow creatively, or at least give them the direction they needed for their feud, character, or something I'm not thinking of. Nobody's commenting on specific RP's in shows, it's all quick 1-2 line responses. People don't mention anyone's stuff in particular. Which indicates to me, that people tend to skim. SO, I figure, let's give each RP a chance to shine, by putting them in the Promo Room. So when your RP is posted, people can read and respond. I mean for christ sakes, there's nothin else going on here. I know what you mean about the negativity. Believe me Trance goes on and on that i spelt this and that wrong and he usually insults me along with some others. But fact is i see a lot of other people besides me make mistakes from time to time. So just comes down to people being really petty and childish. So just do what i do and let it go in one ear and out the other. If i listened to all these negative people, i would have left OCW along time ago. Also most time is a jealousy thing as you said. Some people don't want to do anything and expect you to push them because they are lazy. I do agree with Nate and think that resiliency is more harm than good. However you are right from what i am aware we have not made a rule against it and really that is our fault. Same with KD a while back.

Damian Christ Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 Alright I'll review a bit.... PAGE 1 (UNO): Alright so we start things off with a pretty damn nice RP from aries and leon. Good shit in general, really nicely writen...detail, dialouge, its all there. Texbook effort, everyone should be aiming to submit promos of that quality. Then it's bloodline time. Nice to see em put a few lines in to close things off after the xcalibur shennanigans, but I think the group should maybe work a bit more on the overall flow of their promos. Sometimes it seems like the characters aren't too compatible, and a few too much generic or insignificant dialouge gets put in. Match time! Air's theme is quite catchy in my opinion...attire is kinda weird lookin though (again, only my opinion). Not a bad match in the big picture, just a few quirks. The resilliancy thing has been adressed, but I also saw air attempt some sort of attack while wes was in a falling animation...that's a no no I think. Air gets himself a win. Controversial? Sure, but regardless, I marked for the FU reversal into the backslide. Hadn't seen that in ages, forgot it was there. More bloodline stuff. I think the group is putting the effort in for content, but like I said, it just doesn't flow. I really can't even tell if KD and dorien are heel or face from these, show some more emotion maybe. Overall, just make sure it's going somewhere, give em some character. These little convos between dorien and KD have seemed all too random thus far.
