Smythe, I only have one disagreement with what you posted. Submissions finishers are NOT cheese if you police people to not crank back fully when they do it. For example, if I had a DM with Ryder, and wanted to slap on the Sharpshooter, I just crank slowly at a time, allowing them enough time to spin the RS. Submission finishers are NOT hard to escape from as I've done it, as has Trips, especially if there's a rule for cranking back. Sort of like last year.
I still don't get the problem with people whining about people doing whatever to get out of a sig or finisher. I can understand running away or out of the ring as unethical, but attacking someone? Come on! Do you expect people to just stand there?! Now, don't get me wrong, sometimes, I do play defensively, especially against people I enjoy playing to give them a chance. But there are sometimes when you have to play to win. I seriously don't see whats wrong with people WANTING to win.
There is also the little fact that Smythe mentioned...YOU HAVE AN RT BUTTON FOR A REASON. Everything is reversible this year, seemingly, so stop whining, and always expect the worst from your opponent. If he wants to run at you, counter it into something nice, instead of bitching that HE WASTED MY SIGNATURE OH MY FUCKING GOD!!! Again, don't get me wrong. I love putting on good matches...if its a STORYLINE, or with someone who I can prove my worth against. If its a random booking, you're damn right I'm going to go all out.
As for the pinning thing...I still think we should go with what me and Parker suggested. People kick out way too often. I don't think people on a certain tier should get as many kickouts, I think kickouts should be based on the match.
Tags, four ways, and three ways should get NO kickouts because they last a day and forever. Singles, if its a ME match...1 kickout per person if its, lets say for the sake of arguement, Guy v. Mayhem. If its me v. Mayhem, a kickout for Mayhem, but not me, being as he's a champ.
If a midcard match, or upper midcard match is amazing, then allow 1 per person, or if its for a title. 2 for the champ, and 1 for the person.
Rookies shouldn't get any kickouts because they're rooks, as its been said. If I hit one of the new guys with a Superkick, I don't expect them to kickout.
The people who would need to book things like this, are obviously Hennig and Jay. I mean, hell, why not give it a test run NEXT Riot, and see how everything pans out? It wouldn't hurt, you know.
