It's not really petty criticism being a critic of a show entails not having rosey views of everything. I would have liked to see Trance provide a review and comment on some other stuff but hell he's at least watching the shows. I tend to agree I think Smythe's face turn was rather pointless and a face Smythe is rather horrible. The only reason I say that is cause I think Smythe plays a great heel, because let's face it even outside of character Smythe is full of himself ( :) ) but that makes Smythe's character even more effective. So as much as I agree with the whole "NO BITCH ASSNESS" here sometimes voicing an opinion as a fan isn't a bad thing.

Definitely looking forward to all of this....Sensation's done a good job of selling near death but now it's time he comes back
-
I enjoyed the show definitely some good points but it wasn't a strong strong Riot. Stuff is slowly but surely building which I like. Gotta agree though team leon makes me think of all those teen love battles where people take sides
-
Who'd I piss off not to have a match 2 weeks in a row? Seriously good lookin card though. And yes you have to let people know what your Finisher is before the match if it's changed from previous finishers
-
For some reason in the bottom picture on Mayhem's post facially you look like HHH to me for some reason
-
This Card is missing a Gaines match where he will seemingly have the match won only to be rolled up

Riot 3-24-2010 (3 Hour Special Edition)
Nathan Gaines replied to Leon Valentine's topic in The Daily Suplex
Really enjoyed Riot this week the build up for lution is giving things some great spotlight and people seem to be running with it. I know they got bashed early on but I really enjoy the team of Mayhem leon air and smythe. They give a good heel faction feel. -
I have no idea what you're talkin about here to be honest so I can't answer your question haha. I really dug the show but as the commentary said could have been a lot better. I think people were confused about the deadlines (Yes I know that falls on us) and I'm just as guilty. Overall I do like where things are going. In regards to the Main Event, I've heard that people felt that the ending was lame. I could completely understand this, and I guess part of me felt let down by losing by roll up, but then I try to take a step back and see it for what it is. I wrestled pretty well not trying to sound cocky. I thought the match had all you could ask for. As everyone knows wrestling a Triple Threat is not easy. You have one guy always sorta just jackin off so to speak when there's other interaction. I thought we all did a good job at minimizing and not abusing double team moves. All of us had our spots that we hit and there as a moment during that match where each one of us looked like we were bringin it home. Storyline wise things worked. You had Cruz the fan favorite wrestling for a shot to please the fans and get in as the underdog. People were rootin for him and he held his own. You had Trance the jack ass of a heel who people hate for all he's done trying to steal the match at different moments tryin to roll people up. Than you have Gaines the man who's gone psycho tryin to get one more shot at Trance. Mainly focused on him during th ematch but went after Cruz when he needed too. Think of the heartbreak of the character after he had the match sealed a chance to go to Lution at FI and win a title shot. It's the story of the rise and fall and rise again of a character literally stolen from him. I told Cruz and Trance both I was gonna pull for either one of them if they won cause they deserve it more than I. I came back to have fun working on storylines when at the time I came back OCW needed them. I'm havin a blast working with Trance and startin' stuff with Wesley. I think our angle is pretty hot in addtion to strong angles like Mayhem and Valmont, Trance and Aries, Leon and Guy, and I even see things pickin up with Smythe and Mania. So in summation I thank people for being upset with the ending to the match and I didn't want it that way but I'm ok with it cause it fits with everything. As Nate Ortiz once told me you work with what's given to you and that's what I'll do with the ending to this match

**"Reminder" by Jay-Z hits the PA system as Wonderful Wesley appears on stage. Wesley, who seems relatively upbeat despite the actions of last week, is dressed in a black long-sleeve shirt, bluejeans, and his signature black do-rag with his dark shades on. Wesley, who's never been one to miss an opportunity to talk has a microphone in hand as he makes his way down the ramp and into the ring. ** Wesley: You can all thank me later for allowing you a chance to see the Wonderful one in this very ring even though I wasn't booked. **The Crowd Boos as Wesley "presents" himself to the crowd** Wesley: Anyways I'd like to get down to some pressing matters concerning me and my title. See last week I was within inches of beating that fraud of a champion Jacob Trance. I was a move away from beating the champion and setting up my chance to challenge for the title. HOWEVAH!!! I was cowardly attacked after the match by that has-been never was Nathan Gaines. Wesley: In the last three weeks Gaines has decided to declare himself number one contender for the EX-Strap. He lost at Road 2 Glory and wasn't even close. Yet he seems to think that he's in line for another shot. He thinks that he's in front of the prized posession of the EX-Divison. The Wonderful one himself. As far as I see Gaines should head to the back of the line, hell he should pack it up an head home all together. **Just than "I need a hero" by Skillet hits the PA System and Nathan Gaines appears at the top of the stage. Gaines who looks rather strung out is dressed in a beige button down shirt, blue jeans and has a white bandana tied around his head. He slowly makes his way down to the ring, going up the ramp stairs very slowly and climbing through the ropes as he is face to face with Wesley. Gaines looks almost sullen and down-trodden, as he pulls a microphone from his back pocket** Wesley: What no chair this time? Or did you decide to just swing chairs at no name rookies? What happened Mr. Fan-Favorite? Gaines: I'm sorry *Wesley looks slightly taken back as the crowd is rather confused with Gaines apologizing for hitting Wesley with a chair the week before.** Gaines: I'm sorry you didn't take my warning and stay out of my way. I have no problem with you, our paths have never crossed and I was perfectly fine with keeping it that way. Last week I told you to stay out of my way. As for James Devitt, I apologized to him as well, but unlike you he just happened to be a casulty of circumstance. Wrong place wrong time. Wesley: I don't care about your little sob story here. All I care about is you acknowledgin that Wonderful Wesley is the better man and the future EX-Division Champion. You're career is a disgrace and the sooner you acknowledge that you'll never be the wrestler or have the career that I have. Gaines: Don't you get it. Everything about my career is wrapped up in that title and beating Jacob Trance. I have no career if I can't beat him. Everything I've done in my career has always been played as second fiddle to another person. All of this has nothing to do with you or Devitt, the fans or even Trance. This has everything to do me and proving that I can seize the moment. That I'm just as good as the next one. That I won't be forgotten. Heroes are never forgotten, but legends never die. I want one more legendary moment at Wrestlution, a moment that I can seize. If Trance doesn't want to give me that, tonight I'll win the Future Investment match and secure my chance to face any champion. Then after the match I'll cash in my opportunity to face Jacob Trance on the grandest stage of all. *Wesley stand in front of Gaines clapping and shedding fake tears. Basically he is mocking Gaines to his face.** Wesley: Moving story old timer, really you touched me. But as with all "fairy-tales" they aren't really and this fantasy you've created needs a dose of realness. You see you'll never get a chance at the EX-Strap as long as I'm here. I deserve my shot before you get your second opportunity to stink up the joint. I'll be making sure that I"m the next one to get a shot at that belt. And that my friend is Wonderful..... **Wesley drops the mic as his music plays. Gaines is left stunned in the ring, and looks even more depressed and sad than he was when he entered. Wesley who is smirking, makes his way up the ramp turns to face the ring as he back peddles, and makes the jesture with his hands around his waist indicating that he will be champion. **

Great great review....I like how you incorporate what you like and what you don't and than give feedback on how one might improve. Purpose of a great review. Not that mine will be as indepth but you've inspired me to make some comments as well

I screwed you out of one FI Qualifier and when I do it this time and win FI I"ll be the first man to cash it in for a shot at the EX Division Title. I want my rematch and I don't care what lengths I have to go for it. Cruz and Pugh better stay out of my way because if you do stand in the way of me getting at Trance you'll just be a casualty of circumstance

Leon on you just keep getting cooler and cooler in my book ;) :p

Back in my superhero days when I lived a double life and defended the streets of OCW from criminal heels. Then Batman and Spiderman and Superman all took over my marketshare, things got ugly, when into some financial problems, could afford the whole cape and mask, lost my job as a newspaper reporter and really feel into a dark place

I really dug this PPV. Some great matches as well as Role Plays. As far as being captivated by not only the RPs but the matches, this was one of my favorite PPVs in subsequent memory. I enjoyed the Mayhem build throughout the night. I'm buying the monster as a credible champion and what I find amazing is this will be the first Lution that he headlines. Valmont is also doing a nice job of showing how determined he is to get what he wants. Could be odd doing a heel v heel match at Lution but we'll see how it works Leon and his twist of a partner was awesome. I saw it coming last night because his partner didn't do a great job of sugarcoating his turn, but than the spin that Fausto put on it all was awesome. The RP between Fausto and Smythe leading up to this was very well done. Where is Ryder with a long RP? I so wanted Ryder to have a successful title run. So talented in the ring but really dropped the ball with his title run. Trips vs Valmont. I liked it because these two have such a great rivalry, but I didn't buy Valmont KO'ing Trevor and having it be stoped. Trips is a high main eventer I just can't seem him being subjected to that. That's my one fault with Valmont's build up to what transpired EX match- The Rush was awesome to watch it ending up playing well that it broke down to Gaines v Hazard and Hostile(Fit with the Riot beat down). Glad I got the win but aside from that the match and concept itself when done sporadically is awesome. As for my match with Trance. Kudos to Trance for organizing everything and giving me the battle of my life. As I told Trance the match felt "real" just watching it. Even in the beginning, than the Face gets the momentum going looks like he's gonna put it away and out of no where the Heel gets a few moves in and bam it's over. Regardless extremely fun steppin into the ring with Trance. He's a hell of a champion.

Do it for a few months/years
-
Highly doubtful you'll be in that one Sir Casey
-
as some have said the tag match and EX Championship match won't load
-
No spot for Gaines on the show?
-
We only have a roster of 6?

Pretty good show I'll comment more later but I wanna give props to Leon and his gang for a good opening promo. They needed something to start getting their fire back. Also I know it was touched on but Ryder has dropped the ball BIG TIME. He had the potential to be the new age leader so to speak and really play up his underdog run and his excellence in the ring, but now that's all gone. I hope to God Mayhem wins now so we can have that title played up more. Cause god forebid we let Smythe thing he's more important than the OCW Title :(

KD how long have you been here? Because clearly you still have no idea how things work

Riot 2-04-2010 (3 Hour Special Edition)
Nathan Gaines replied to Mr.Sensation's topic in The Daily Suplex
I wouldn't wanna break character and ever dress well Jay I'm aimin to win an award and that award's name is "Worst Dressed of the Year" -
I like that this is being used for Role Playing between shows and it's a good way for you to build your character but I don't really see how the whole flipping the kid the bird is really all that relevant. I would say that that little bit wasn't necessarily needed as there would be repercussions for doing that if this were a real company you would be fined for doing that. However, kudos for making an effort Overall Grade: B-

My thoughts are a bit sporadic so I'll add more later but I really enjoyed the commentary opener and that entrance was AWESOME!. Secondly I thought the Hostile Letuce match was pretty good it was sorta cool to see someone get a title shot out of the blue but also having that someone be someone that could win it My match with Air. Not one of my highlights here in OCW. Was it a bad match ? No wasn't a clean cut FPR showcase absolutely not, and as two vets of this company Air and I both should have known better. I fell victim to a bit of hovering I feel like, and I feel like Air started to fall in love with his quick grapples and Running grapples along with Taunting. We both tylered at points but I blame a lot of that on the lag. Overall I apologize that both of us couldn't have delievered more because as KD said I was hoping we could had a MoTN type match Leon and Mayhem talking backstage was intriguing and interesting. I do like what's going on there I just hope that it continues to develop and continues to stay relevant. Ryder vs. Aries was awesome. The whole match had that feeling of old school RoH type wrestling. These two both brought their A game and it turned out to be a hell of a match. While I wasn't crazy about Ryder's RP leading up to the match(I just don't have a good feel on Ryder as a face) his work inside the ring definitely helps clear out any doubt that he deserves this belt. As I said more input will be provided later
