Asylum Review: The show begins with Mr. Romero. Now I figure he's this ultimate underdog, I mean that was his reasoning for having comeback even though he shouldn't right (that's a rule right? Only champs can have it), but then he makes the fans hate him. You can't say he's wrong though. He's a lightweight Ex style wrestler who keeps getting matched up against behemoths. He's matched up very well against K.D. however, managing to go 1 for 2. I think he'll stack up pretty well against Gibbs for the Hardcore title, though I don't expect him to come away with the championship. Good RP though. Not to be rude, but I felt like I needed a translation for Ali's translations. "In some way I wronged you? I know that we have to face each other is not only for no ill will to show that there is a need to." what is that second sentence? I honestly didn't understand it. The match, well I think that it's funny because for some reason when I play the match I get slight feedback that actually sounds a bit like the chirp of a cricket. The match was pretty good though. Not surprised that Arnaud picked up the win. It appears K.D. may be going soft, this may be just the edge I need to pick up the win and keep my singles streak going. Thank you Djesus ;). As I said earlier, Terry has been doing very well against K.D. For a large portion of this match I thought he was going to pull out a second win. It was a very close match, where K.D. had to pull out the Black Rack to put Romero down. Must have been a nice change of pace for K.D. with an opponent so much smaller I'm sure he was able to just destroy Romero's back. I know who this promo's for, but I don't feel like giving it away so... I'm not going to try and argue against the fact that Dane's RP was repetitive, but I will say that I don't see a huge problem with it being so. This happens in real wrestling all the time (not that that's a great excuse because wrestling has been on a decline for almost a damn decade, though I think it's finally hitting an incline). I mean look at it this way, it wouldn't do very much good for Dane's point of giving back to have only given back to the audience for one week. Seems stupid. He changed it up in editing in some traditional (or as traditional as WWE '12 may let it be) garb. And lets get to the real point here, you don't have to read his stuff, you really don't, it's crazy I know. Jookie vs Dimsmore didn't seem to be back and forth AT ALL. It was all Jookie in the beginning and pretty much all Dimsmore at the end there. K.D. brings up the point that Luke was hovering. I'd hover too. Look at the man's character, he's deranged, he's violent, he's an ASSHOLE. It's quite easy to deal with hovering this year, and if it adds to his character in ring (because it's awesome when people show character in ring as well) then I really have no problem with it. Adapt and beat him anyway. It was a very good match, and one that Jookie looked to be able to put away at any time, I don't understand why you held your finishers in your pocket for so long, but whatever. I also thing that the Stump Puller is fantastic on Luke. I hope Kent's right about why people no sell it, because now I know not to tap early if I ever fight Dimsmore, cause it looks AWFUL when people just pop up like they flipped on through the move entirely. Before I start giving my thoughts on the main event, I need to say two things: 1. I see what you did OCW, a hardcore ref for the hardcore title. Good thinking, those normal, run of the mill, referees get knocked out far too easily. This guy was trained to stay out of the way, smooth. 2. Our cam ninja was very obviously modeled after the Black power ranger (ninja version) http://rangerarchive.com/MMPR3/Giant%20Black%20Ninja%20Ranger.jpg. And I'm digging it, probably made it pretty easy to find his costume. Though I'm surprised they have it in size heterosexual (just joking, I was a ninja when I was younger for Halloween). I like Sean McGee alot, his work is fun to read, and it would appear he's being tutored by Leon. He got kind of dominated by Gibbs though. I knew when you all brought the stairs into the ring that they were going to be doing more damage than either of you would do, and I was right. I think this match, along with the great adventures of Jookie Marley, proves that Jay needs to sponsor a workshop for the roster on the do's and don'ts of working with foreign objects. OCW cannot be an unsafe work place any longer! The contract signing reminded me of one of the things that I like most about OCW, everyone seems to be smart when it comes to picking theme songs. The Fire is obviously great for Dupree, and The Steve's song I think is spot on as well. Also, I knew we hadn't seen the last of Captain Charisma Dupree. I think that we all should have seen the cutter coming from The Steve because the man has what may be his last shot at the crown jewel of OCW, he's a desperate man if you ask me. But it may not have been the right move to make. Many people seem to make the mistake of stoking the fire when they really wish to extinguish it, and The Steve may be no different. I suppose we will find out tomorrow night. I'm very excited for Damnation. Great Asylum everyone.

Ok good, Page two. And yeah, I thought he looked kind of like Graham as well. Before I even get to click the Riot link I have to laugh at this weeks tag line xD. Also, I’d like to say this has to be my favorite Riot since I’ve been watching again, and that says a lot I think because I lost a match in it xD. Riot starts off before schedule, it would appear we cut the show that airs before us a little early to hold Jay’s meeting here. This was a more successful version of WWE’s walkout on HHH. This one made more sense. I love that there’s some basis here in reality. I know that everyone has their own opinions on pushing some real issues in rp’s and putting them into shows, but I personally love it. For the most part, though less in OCW than in most places I’ve been a part of before, the ones that put in the content and put the shows together are the majority of the ones that watch it. That makes us not only the wrestlers, but also the fans, and if you take what’s happening in our reality, concerning us in our everyday and put it into a storyline it’s going to strike a note with us that it couldn’t otherwise, and I just think it makes it seem more exciting and less predictable. K.D’s kind of an asshole huh? And it seems like Parker and Jay are really going to end up going at it. The one thing that I will say about this RP that may be negative, though only slightly, is that not everyone knew about it (maybe no one knew about it, I don’t know and so I just said not everyone), so we weren’t really able to follow up with it. I would have added a few lines to my later RP regarding it had I known about it, but obviously, as we are the fans, that would ruin the surprise, so this is the much better alternative. Time for the regular scheduled programming to begin. I have to love Reese for Poling’s lines xD. I was kind of wondering who would be the first that would use the Mark Henry title entrance. It’s one of the better ones I think, but at the same time Tiberius has been using the same entrance (as far as I’ve seen) for so long that it had become his trademark I had thought. We get a nice exchange here between The Steve, a man who has to keep his tough exterior look as he shows Dupree that he didn’t do anything to help him because The Steve only helps himself (asshole). I’m not the best at OCW history trivia, but if you had asked me to guess I would have told you that The Steve was a former OCW World Champion. I had a chance to be a World Champion before The Steve. I dislike my decision more and more each week :/. This is another one where I would have fixed my own continuity had I known. When I wrote my RP I had them cheer for Dupree, but not even Dupree had the fans cheer for Dupree xD. My bad. I think I missed part of the Romero story. It must have started before I returned, I mean I know what he’s talking about in this promo, but I don’t know why there’s a problem between him and the lady who’s name I don’t remember right now (I know, I know that I should, but I don’t and I don’t even remember where to look to see it because it’s not in the KD vs Romero match like I thought it was). I actually thought Terry was going to beat Parker for a minute there. A very good showing for them both. I have no guess as to who the letter that Hostile got may be from, so there’s that for you. Dane writes a nice RP, but definitely needs to remember that I’m Cody Storm, and I don’t care where I am, I can go toe to toe in the ring with anyone and I give my all to whatever it is I’m doing. This may not be my “home” in the sense that it is for a lot of you all, but I will rebuild my stock in this company and you’ll see me up top sooner rather than later (oh yeah, Trance too :P). That was just THE WORST match ending ever xD. This GhettOCW thing is fun to watch, but at the same time I definitely like reading your written promos better. When I was younger and Sailor Moon was on cartoon network, I never knew what to think of it. I was just plain confused, and for good reason honestly. Now about this Boston Pizza thing, am I completely misunderstanding it or are they just advertising boneless chicken wings? Because ALL MEAT chicken wings just sounds like another, probably better, way of saying boneless, but maybe I’m just stupid. Freek kind of kicked some ass. Brandon, you need to pick your shit up dude. You look like you came back after pissing off the OCW board and so they’re just forcing you to job (granted, your first match was KD and as I’ve been informed recently that’s managements “we want you to be crushed” opponent). I loved the exchange between Aries and Jay. I really do hope that we see Aries get in the ring again. I’ve only fought him once in OCW and we had a very closely contested match, it’s a new year and I want a rematch. Jay needs to take some pills or something or he’s going to explode. I liked the Leon highlight video, but I’m not exactly sure what McGee is doing with this. Good to see something from him none-the-less. I don’t even know how to reconcile Djesus and I apparently both being the Son of God. We are definitely not brothers. Unless we are going to the Greek and Roman gods where we had Zeus/Jupiter and he just fucked everything in sight. Good promo though, taking some biblical stuff and modernizing it. You know, K.D. has been in several promos this week and I don’t think he’s written any of them himself xD. Pugh vs Dupree was a very back and forth match up, but Dupree definitely had the edge. The man’s been possessed recently. But the real story here was definitely Dimsmore coming out and crushing Pugh. I guess I thought that Dimsmore had turned face kind of after last week, but no, not at all. He’s still an emphatic jackass, but in the coolest way. I’m probably just going to stop trying to predict what Dimsmore is doing, it never seems to work. I’d think he’d at least be getting cheered in Japan right now, but apparently not. The two main things I got from this next RP were: 1. Mr. Marley doesn’t understand smoking laws. You can’t even smoke regular smokes indoors in most places anymore, so even if pot were legalized there’s no way it’d be allowed in public places like a big ass arena. And now that I think about it… we’re in Japan this week, I have no idea what their marijuana laws are. For some reason I don’t imagine them caring, they’re all dealing with the Yakuza (those still exist right?) 2. Mark needs to be in a straight jacket. No 6 year old finds a way to travel from America to Japan on his own. NO WAY! The Steve vs SDW is a great match that goes to a no contest, and that makes me sad. It obviously worked well for the story arc, but I usually like seeing clear winners and not douche bags like Arnaud fucking everything up. Tibby makes the save though and the all is right and sunny in the world of OC…..Or not… Ok, tell me that this promo wasn’t derived from this ( or I first saw it in video game form because sadly I didn’t begin watching wrestling until late ’03, and I think your RP is much more like the game version). And if it was, I love you all the more for it because I think that, that’s fantastic. I’ve been dying for someone to do this online. I’m extremely excited to see what’s coming from Jay, sounds like it could really shake OCW up. Either way guys, it was a phenomenal Riot and I’m much more excited for Damnation than I was just a few days ago.

So the race to page 2 is on. I know I didn't say anything in show conversation last week, and I have no excuse for it except I tend to suck from time to time, but I have a lot to say about this weeks. In fact, if I don't write it now I'll forget it all, so I'm just going to write it and post it when we get to page two.

Should be a fun show to watch. Very excited for the two top title matches. I'm also very surprised I've been given a match. I'm not quite sure if it points to me having a friend in this place or an enemy.

My bad Pugh, I'm going to start making things so that they make you happy. On a side note, I didn't know he was going to do anything with GWA xD, and I don't run the place. and I don't like being told I can't beat anyone. Until we have that match with the A-Team (by the way a nice precursor for you is Storm vs Mez this week on Asylum. In a match I totally intend to dominate ;) ).

I'm going to give some thoughts here on the show, but first a few things (I'm going to do a thread in the introductions section later so I'm not saying everything here but I will say a few things). First: I've been watching the last couple of shows (on time, not retroactively) and you all put on a fantastic 'Lution. The second reason I made this point was so you all know I do have a slight clue as to what storylines are going on, I'm not just jumping in blind here. Second: Sorry about the face Vega. I've been playing these games with the same character since 07 (technically 06, but I didn't play online), albeit in a different E-Fed. I started when I was 13 and I was fairly incompetent. I was actually scared of touching the face morphing for fear I'd completely ruin it all. So I've had this "generic" face for ever, because much like everyone else, I'd be ruining the semblance of continuity if I didn't. On top of that, I still don't mess with face morphing, because I'm still rather incompetent, and while I'd take you up on your offer to teach it to me, I still don't want to mess with his face as it's been pretty much the same since 07. , it's technically 08, but it's February of 08 and the oldest video I believe I have of my character). Pre-show: I'm fairly surprised K.D. is still doing this gimmick of "saving" the people through violence (or at least that's how I've been interpreting all of this). It's been nearly a year, and he hasn't quite succeeded thus far, so I'm shocked to see it still going. I also think that bomb on the valet was a bit overkill, but I mean it's your character. I like Angel's look and his moveset looks like fun. Djesus is the Djones handler of old I assume right? Either way the Caw definitely looks different, like Parker said, and especially with that hair, I got a definite Kat Williams vibe. I do enjoy his nickname "the water walker" though, that made me laugh. Spider was all over this episode of Riot. He pulled the definite heel move at 'Lution taking the advantage with a finisher right after that ladder botch. Not that that's a bad thing, gives Marley an excuse to keep pushing if he's looking for one. And one that actually makes sense, as the move that ran him into the ladder was a sig, so he very well could have won mere seconds later had everything played out right. I'm disappointed Aries is leaving the arena, I was hoping to see him wrestle tonight. Like Jookie, I hit page 2, believing the pre-show was page 1 and I spent 3/4 of the show baffled by the fact that Dimsmore was International Champion xD. The intro to Riot was fantastic, including the streak vs career match, the actual Riot intro which I've yet to grow tired of, and the fireworks (it's a nice touch that most would be too lazy to add is my guess). I feel like if you have a knack for making jokes controlling Poling and Scaggs must be a lot of fun. Poor Dupree was just about all powerful before this segment, now he's on the ground and minus a belt. I loved that match at 'Lution by the way, sad that the ending cost you a belt. I think Jay's contribution to this part felt real. It's like when a wrestler gives a speech that comes from somewhere other than just the storylines, and despite the fact that you may hate them with your very soul, you have to cheer for what they've just said. That's how I felt when he started talking about how no one is above OCW. On a more serious note, I read what happened in that pre-show as well and if I had to place money down I'd venture to say that things will be patched up sooner rather than later. Dane's entrance made me laugh. I've never seen anyone actually have a good reason for using the Zombie entrance, and he was even smart enough to give reason as to why he would be trying to bite the camera. I would like to apologize, as it must appear (at least to Dane) like I'm already being fairly useless. I wasn't aware I was to do anything for the show until I was already hours away from home yesterday (not the one that drove either) and I didn't get home until late this morning. So thank you for taking care of things Dane. And I'd like to point out that that's not my OCW attire (it's actually a stab at remaking the attire in the video at the beginning at this post.), it's just the only attire that I had up at the time so it's the one that Dane ran with, but he was nice enough to change some of the moves so that it seemed more OCW. His post match promo was a nice touch. Working for nothing and promising to run the toughest schedule imaginable is a nice touch. Glad someone else loves Old Spice too. They will always have my business simply because their commercials are hilarious. I thought the best part of the Rockstar promo was how well he conveyed the child's difficulty with speech due to his lack of teeth. I'm not huge on the kid stealing cigarettes, but I understand it leads somewhere. Hostile, I'm glad to see you back even if a lot of people don't seem to be. But I do have a question, what exactly is a passive military approach? You seem to be actively searching out a fight, and hating people, that doesn't seem very passive to me. But maybe I'm just confused. The KD Hostile match was pretty good. It was pretty back and forth, and I thought for a while it was going to go to Hostile to be honest. But KD pulled it out. I'm not familiar with the Tyro Girls, but I definitely dug the FF reference, because it's the first thing I thought of as well when I saw the name Rinoa (8 was by far my favorite). I'm glad to see Dimsmore is a champion again. He's WAY different from the LSD I'm more familiar with. I didn't expect to buy into his character so quickly, but from the first match I saw him wrestle about three or four Riot's ago I was sold. The whole Dupree/Dimsmore dynamic was great, and I think it made you both look amazing. I'm excited to see the International title defended here tonight. Peeta sucks huh? last semester my friend did an english paper on Peeta, and found that while doing his research that some of their money is actually involved in the same funds and places as some people known for terrorism. It's kind of freaky, and I think this interaction with Marley only adds to that, Peeta's evil. I kind of wish I knew more about OCW's history than I do, because I feel like I'm missing some of the heat that Smythe got from attacking Wesley. I liked his buildup with Tyro however, and I thought you all put on a great match. I'm pretty excited to see Smythe go one on one with The Champion next week. the International Title match was a decent match. Dimsmore definitely made a point by hitting Cruz with two finishers to get the win. It was a dominant ending, and you know Dimsmore is just angry right now. I don't have much experience with the Cruz character, I see him as somewhat of a Santino/Eddie character. I'm not usually a fan of the totally comically, so I'm happy that his RP lent a serious note to his character, and I feel like I can get more behind him now. I'm sorry your FI moment got ruined, but at least you didn't get the dumpster treatment ;). I would LOVE to see Pugh vs Spider. I'm actually very into the Pugh character, which surprises me because I have no prior experience with him. I think some of that can be attributed to the fact that I laugh at the majority of the posts he makes on here. The title belt line isn't something I've seen done in a while, and I think it was done pretty well. I think if anything, due to his main event shot later in the night, I think Marley kind of detracted from the moment, but now it has the potential to become a triple threat so that's nice. I for one am sad that Leon is gone. Leon as a person was one of my favorite guys in OCW, and one of the few guys that I talked to from time to time even when I wasn't here any longer. For that reason alone, I was rooting for him to win out against Parker (no offense meant towards you Parker, I just don't know you all that well, and since this was a career ending match, I let sentiment get involved in my judgement). Parker's loud mouth cost him a potential title shot. That really sucks too, cause you'd think after pulling off what no one else has been able to do, he'd be pretty much guaranteed one. I'm sure we'll see him get what's coming to him sooner or later, but I suppose for right now he just gets a lesson in why sometimes it's probably best to hit the power off button on the siren. Jookie has gotten SO much better. He actually looked pretty great in this match, and until the very end I thought that it was possible he was going to take the W and the belt along with it. I'm borderline shell-shocked at the improvement here Jookie. Spider gets involved though, and Dupree ends up being able to come back and slam Marley to the mat to retain. The A-Team spot was very nice. They stand for something, something rather unconventional, and it was good to see that they were able to hold onto that and even use it to win the titles. Definitely the right team to win the returning belts. By the way, I'm ecstatic that the tag team titles are back. Good tag team divisions are so much fun to watch, it's a totally different dynamic than singles competition. I'm not 100% certain what the point to the interaction between Pugh and Dimsmore was, but it's building to something in the future, and for all intensive purposes it was well written. Another guy I'm not very familiar with is The Steve. I think in this match I was rooting for Tyro as the wrestler, but I like the combination of Steve vs Dupree more than I like Tyro vs Dupree. I think that Tyro and Dupree have more similar movesets than do Steve and Dupree so I was more excited for the later matchup. It was a very good match though. Tyro had control for the majority of it, but The Steve was able to reach down and pull out a W. Very nice Riot everyone, and I'm glad to be back, whether you're glad to have me back or not ;).

My exact thinking Trev. The commentary is atrocious. always has been. I remember in one of the games Cole would randomly start talking about the Undertaker. The first time he ever did that to me I was playing through story mode (when there still was a story mode, not RTWM) and I freaked out thinking he was coming to demolish me. He never did show :(

I get it, really I do. You don't like promos after the match that reveal the match... Tough shit. that's how things happen sometimes, granted it doesn't have to be that way but when a wrestler loses or wins a match sometimes that's what fuels the emotion and that's what the point to my promo was. Instead, you moved it elsewhere and made me look like a retard because apparently Cody stayed in the ring while others fought, and he was STILL hurting from a black rack from two pages before? That's over selling to the max. I haven't read any more than page 1, because I got to 2 and realized my promo was missing, so I'll do a review later tonight or tomorrow, but please Jay, move it back so that if you archive this Riot I don't look fucking retarded. EDIT: I just got to page four and realized that you made it seem like the promo took place during a commercial break. Better than what I had originally thought you had done with it, but I still don't think there should be anything against putting a promo about your match after the match. I'm not suggesting that all of them should be, but it's a natural way of thinking a lot of times.

Well, I don't think there's any reason to mess with the match set, I'm very excited for Hostile vs Suda, I'm expecting a great match from these two. But to say Hazard shouldn't be considered in contention at all to me is incorrect. He's been doing great in his matches, and he helps in his way. Help him to RP more, but don't take him out of contention.

What I thought was hilarious is that it added to your insane look that you were wearing a nice suit over your wrestling outfit…. xD Illuminati They killed another of their own… Interesting, I can’t help but feel that possibly this stemmed from the World title Cage match. Leave it to Matsuda to be impressed by a man kicking his ass. D-jack D-jack’s back and in black (well orange, but we all know orange doesn’t rhyme with a damn thing) YAY! Dupree and Marie: Dupree is being Santino, that’s scary. But it does look good, and Marie looks like an old lady that could kick someones ass. I’m seeing the future now…. Marie Dupree vs Mayhem, World heavyweight championship on the line. And don’t worry Dupree, whatever members of lotus we don’t kill, it seems they’ll kill for us. But at this rate you’ll have it all done in a couple of months…. Oh good god fuck. This guy is “He” (look at KD screwing everything up with a party invite, tsk tsk). Well, this could be interesting. He certainly looks buffer, and the tats look nice. Dupree should get some gold, that’d be nice. And Scaggs chimes in with and I’m so glad his aunt is safe xD. I’m like Jesus, I save the little people (even though Trance is far from little ;) ) looking forward to this match. Tiberius Dupree vs Jacob Trance: I love RED, I can’t lie. Hey… I’m in the ring. See for some reason my CAW does not like resting on the ring apron, he resists. So I just realized, this is the first match of the night, we’re on page 3 and this is the first match, that’s astounding xD. So far so good from these two. Dupree opened it up with a hurricanrana Trance with a nice SOS. REF! He just hit Trance in the crotch, fix that…. Or just let it go, fuck it dong your job is over rated (that’s why I’m standing at ringside instead of wrestling). I think that Kingston monkey flip looks great on you Dupree. You bust his balls, Trances busts your ass, I think it’s fair haven’t seen the atomic drop in some time. The four punch combo, goody, my favorite. But he gets caught in a sleeper for taunting! BAM! Bad idea Dupree, you don’t Senton Trance, he has a crazy senton of his own. The leg trip into the camel clutch looks like something Dupree would d….uplicity! Yow, the saito suplex looks narly. Cody Storm comes out for this match in yellow and wrestles his own in Red, I can’t be caught wearing the same thing twice in one night, it just can’t be done. “My boosey ways a ton” the hell does that mean? I actually don’t think I want to know, so nevermind. YES! Trances hip toss into a weak kick that can’t even knock you down! But the whatchmacallit mic-check like sig looks good. He’s going for the frog splas….elbow drop! Dupree making a comeback, I wonder if he can keep it going a put Trance away. I’m liking your chest tat more everytime I see it Dupree. Cody Storm stands tall in the ring as you all wrestle on the outside! And he stands in the way of Trance whipping Dupree back in, NICE! Dupree turned around into a bulldog, that looked pretty cool. Good match boys. K.Dangelo segment At this rate, insulting every wrestler on the roster, you’re going to get jumped KD. I too like Chinese food! Mayhem segment So you’re the emperor now? Nah Dude! But I am interested to see what you do with LOTUS, and just as interested to see this main event. Matsuda segment Look at this guy. Had a great thing going, and now the little man with the midget complex is trying to prove he can hang. Aren’t you still on Ambition, why don’t you pack up and head on back, we don’t want your kind here >:o. No, it was a nice job xD. Dane $ Xavier segment So…. SOOOO glad you got blindsided! Concussions BLOW! I’m fairly certain that we could have Riot without you douchefag! Wait… What?! Mayhem wanted so badly to join a group that he doesn’t really NEED backing him that he gave you a world title shot at the second biggest ppv of the year. That sounds wrong, but we’ll keep going anyway. Main Event The main event isn’t loading very nicely and that makes me sad because I’m starving and I have to pack but I refuse to stop at the very last part of the show! (Not trying to knock on Mayhem personally, just reminded me of something I had been thinking about, and also I’m not saying we shouldn’t be able to hit combos, I’m just bringing it up). Jook smokes his meds, that's some hardcore shit. I can't help but wish we had seen this match after two promos on it. Although I'm not a fan of stripping a champion if he can defend it in the near future.

It's probably a better situation for you regardless Hostile, better to have a one on one shot than fight in a battle royal.

I wrote a review as well while watching so once we get to page two I'll go ahead and put it up. I have to say, I liked every match that was put up. We had some good story's going and I'm shocked at the ending. Astounded even!

In his defense, he didn't say he was. He simply said he "found it" backstage.

I'm so incredibly sorry about the sound in the main event. I wasn't thinking when I was putting it together, I was mainly thinking about making sure I clipped everything right, and once I did all of that correctly I hit make movie and forgot about themes and taking out the commentary. As for the rest of the show, I've yet to watch it, I'll try Tuesday to watch it. So expect comments around then.
