Also, slightly off topic, I ended up not finishing Riot 427 until just earlier today because I apparently forgot I hadn't finished it last week... So I wanted to bring up two or three points here: Nathan's long ass pleasure palace RP was fantastic reading. Hope your security detail beats the shit out of that dude. I've not seen much of Majin because I'm a lazy OCW'er and haven't spent a ton of time in the archives, I just learn the history by listening to guys who were around, but I'm excited to see him back. I'm also really salty, and this is the main point I'd like to bring up: The video work he did last week was top notch and I'm jealous. A ton of names and dream matches were mentioned in the Riot Thread last week and my name and content was not among them, and that makes me jealous. I'm a very competitive person. So thank you legends for returning, cause I'm starting to get a little thirsty again, and I think that's a good thing. Keep raising the bar everyone, should be one of the best Lutions ever.

Ok, I violence. - Such a juxtaposition of entrances. Buddy's is so high energy, and Kass' is so slow and mildly depressing. And then you realize it's Orton and it's REEEEAAALY depressing. I'm convinced Buddy actually thinks he's standing still while doing that finger taunt, he's just so dizzy he doesn't know. We all have to dump that DDT from our movesets now, or we're going to have a Jeriatrick goon squad coming for us. That spin out slam looked vicious on someone Buddy's size. KASS JUST KILLED HIMSELF!!! Holy shit that was awesome! He tried to cheat and Buddy still kicked at one. The windup time on Buddy's roundhouse is really killing him in this one. That was a nasty DDT. Kass definitely had his arm draped over Buddy after that sprinboad splash from Buddy, but the ref totally no sold it. This was a solid match, all of the diving reversals definitely gave it that Ex feel. - If I'm the champ, and I have the choice over a fresh partner and one who just wrestled a 10 minute match, I'm gonna choose the fresh guy. Kassidy wants to be the only champ in Ragnarok! Tre sounds like a magician running out of tricks to show off with the line about beating them both again, but now at the same time xD. This entrance fits so well, I kind of hate you for it. Look at how giddy Austin is after his win last week. I don't really think this theme fits the entrance though. You just know this match is going to be an abortion, a tornado tag hardcore title defense. If Kass gets the pin does he win the title? Could have a double champ?!.....Kass just took out the ref while Tre was pinning so it's obvious he's trying to get that belt! Good for you! May not be that hard to accomplish either with the way Sid's just beating the shit out of Austin. And Austin got him right back xD. 90% sure only faces can have comeback, but I'm not totally sure with these perk rules anymore. Austin, you may be the worst in the world at changing your targetting xD. That match was not nearly as much of a shit show as I expected given the stipulation. - Is it talent Smythe?! Is it?! It's true, there is only one legend that comes to mind when you say "living legend" in OCW. It's definitely Nate. We're gonna need a 6v1 handicap legend match. It'll sell tickets for sure. - WHAT?!!? Djesus legit just levitated and punched the shit out of Crossbones! Aww man, we haven't seen that diving tornado DDT but like once in the past few weeks but now we've got it twice in two Riot pages; that's unfortunate :/. Djesus is a nicer guy than I am, I wouldn't have backed up from bitch slapping crossbones after the sig roll out xD. Man, you really handicapped yourself in this one not using fired up Spider. I didn't know they had top rope wakeup taunts, that's pretty sweet. .... DAMN! I've probably said this a few times too many recently, but I still have a hard time understanding why we would give champions large advantages. They should have the title because they are good enough to keep it. They should be good enough to win on a level playing field and if you can't, you shouldn't be the champion. I agree 100% with Pugh in that giving people a stat point or two isn't a huge thing, and resiliency is a nice perk, but giving someone an extra reversal slot (because it's obviously not just one extra reversal in an entire match) is kind of game changing. If you need that much help to secure the victory, you shouldn't be victorious.

I won't lie, I expected this to be harsher. Still not really sure what the answer to avoiding this kind of match is, I feel bad telling people they have to lay down, but this match was really, really hard to watch all the way through.

Actually, I kind of take that back, I was entertained by Xander/Jones, it just went WAAAAAY too long. The written content this week was still very good, I feel like we've gotten really consistent in that aspect this season, like I don't even really need to say it was good, it's just been a given the past few months (this week, especially true of that opening RP).

It was ME ALL ALONG!!!!!!!! But for real, it was me. Also, the rules are fine, but we definitely need to clean them up. I mean look this, "contradictory, forefront, backburner, exactly. I do what the fuck I want. I say words and they mean shit to me," might be all well and good in a podcast, but in our rule book, it's causing some problems. I just want to clean up the writing some and make sure all of the rules mean what most of us are fairly certain they mean (I keep referencing that tag team rule, cause it's the most egregious example I can think of).

This may be a stupid idea, but sometimes those are the only kinds I have at 12:30 at night, what if we had Jay or someone stream rewriting the rules on twitch? We could find a good time for a lot of the rookies, and people could ask questions as it's all rewritten (or at least readdressed) section by section.

I don't think anyone can blame Dennis for thinking what he did was legal by our rules when you read that rule. It makes it sound like we only ban it if you hit the finisher right after picking them up (and clearly his explanation of why he thinks it was legal shows that, that was indeed the impression he was under). We don't necessarily need new rules, we just need to make these ones better understandable, especially considering we have an entirely different brand this year without very many vet players on it. I've said this a couple of times in the last two months or so. I don't know who is supposed to be in charge of it (I feel like FPR police doesn't inherently include this, as police don't make the law they simply enforce the law), but if you want to delegate it down to me or something I'll get this shit done. The finisher rule being broken was one thing, cause that's plain as day in this rule book, but so many other sections are practically incomprehensible.

No it's not. Because that would seem to break the 4th wall. Admitting that the match wasn't good because he kept hitting you with the same moves makes it seem less like a fight (which wrestling at least pretends to be) and more like a performance. I don't think I've ever heard anything similar ever said on a wrestling show. I mean, we can agree to disagree here and let the convo go on about other things, but you're not going to convince me you're right here.

That's not true, because if you watch all of the matches on Riot you'll see it happening a lot. Sean hit multiple alley-oops, I hit multiple neckbreakers, and it's been going on like that for a while now. The fact that you have to move into your opponent while you grapple them basically means you're going to hit whatever strike/strong strike/strong grapple you have in that direction. And if your opponent is on that same side of you a lot, you're going to hit that move a lot. Happened when I fought Drago each time. I hit him with that Claw slam like five times in the first match cause he seemed to always be on my left side.

- The opening RP segment was good, Nathan was funny as always, even if I felt there was a tad too much attention being placed on the random ring rat in the crowd and not enough on Xander's absence. - Tre got ABSOLUTELY bitch slapped in his title defense. He's really not a credible champion in my eyes after that one because clearly YSL was toying with him. If that was Mugen and not YSL and Gerald actually felt like winning that match instead of just trying to get his 450 off, we'd have a new champ. And that sucks. I'm not trying to shit on Tre, I just think it's a little off to repeat to the Turmoil guys that we're mostly a comp fed, and then watch something like this. I don't really blame Mugen for doing it because he clearly doesn't really want the Hardcore title, he's in a tag team (not that he can't do both really), but it kind of gives credence to what Parker has been saying about the Hardcore title. Not sure I agree that it needs to be tossed though, I guess I'd just book people who won't mind winning the title instead. Those attires aren't great, but it's a general consensus around these here parts that you don't want attire advice from me. - Trance has got that idea that if you can't fix a stain on the carpet you just turn the whole thing black.
