The opening bout between Crowe & Ministry wasn't too bad, even though I'm not a fan of powerhouse's who do top rope moves (>_<) I liked the fact that it was 50/50, there were a lot of UC moves, but I can't really say much since both men did it. Expect that they should do it less.
I marked a little for Crowe when he stood up and did Ministry's own finisher on him (though through a UC) it was a Hogan-esque comeback. A battle right to the end, it was an interesting finish and kudos to Crowe for making the comeback.
Woo, Improptu Match! The Ironman taking on The Indicator....hehe. Steve schools Vinni early on, showing him how it's done in oldie folkie land, Vin' comes back with a few punches of his own though.
Why is Vin' doing a dropkick? ... Meh, whatever. Some nice reversals, Steve is obviously rubbing off on these rookies when it comes to FPR, it's good to see some old school teaching the new generation, something the WWE should take into account.
More dropkicking from Vin, I don't know if it's just me, but it seems odd watching a powerhouse do that. A nice little spot when Vin' taunts Steve while he's trying to get up, followed by a quick roll up by Steve, it was mark worthy. Constant back and forth action makes this match good overall, this is what CCW is all about.
Poe is sporting an interesting Where's Wally T-shirt, made me chuckle. "GWAR!" says The Terminator as he kills Steve's momentum with the Rampage perk, hehe those powerhouses. Reversals all around it seems with this match, followed up by a questionable finish, but I'm sure it was talked over and it did seem the strike came after the grapple attempt.
No battle royal? Meh we'll live. Instead we get Da' Mexican Vs The Blue Meanie. So far it's neck and shoulders, pretty nice pairing, both have similar styles even if they are different sizes. Carlos is putting up a hell of a fight to say there's a weight disadvantage against him, maybe he's bribing Cooper into jobbing for his wallet back? Who knows.
Coopers size takes it toll on Carlos as he gains the upper hand, slowly building upto a finish. Can you imagine how painful it must be having someone like Cooper stand on your back? Just ask Carlos, ouch. A nice finish and okay match overall.
Onto our next contest, it seems Tyro & Brad have arrived late for the BR, but will make up for it with a good ol' singles match, let's get it on! So far it's back forth with the reversals and grapple attempts, a nice way to start the match-up. If this match were anymore even, I'd have a punch line for this joke. It seems both men are giving it 100% so far, so who will break?
Brad starts to get the upper hand by getting Tyro DR, I also must note the funny spot in which Brad jumps over the ropes while Tyro is taunting, only to fall flat on his face, FAIL. Tyro looks to make a comeback after reversing Brad's finisher attempt, but Brad toss' him our of the ring and finally lands the jump a second time around to avenge himself, but it won't take away the failure from before Brad :p.
Tyro is a machine with the reversals, to keep his winning hopes alive. The finisher is landed and the three count is called, a good match overall.
I'll comment more on the show tomorrow, great stuff so far though people.
