  1. WRESTLER NAME: Beatrixx HOMETOWN: Baltimore, MD, United States BIRTHDATE: August 9th, 1984 HEIGHT: 5'7 WEIGHT: 142 lbs THEME SONG: "Beg" - Vana SIGNATURE MOVES: Magic Circle DDT (Rope Hung DDT, also hit from other positions) FINISHERS: Mark of the Coven (Spinning Roundhouse Kick) Biography: Beatrix Renee Murphy is an American professional wrestler currently signed to OCWFed (Online Championship Wrestling). She is also well known for her time in various independent promotions, with several prominent stints in Mexico and Germany. Prior to signing with OCWFed in December 2024, Beatrixx was a mainstay in the northeastern United States independent scene. Beatrixx began wrestling at the age of 15, debuting in 1999 under a mask as "Espat" for the BWA (Baltimore Wrestling Association) as a special attraction, where she would compete against both men and women. Beatrixx continued to wear the mask until she turned 18, due to the rules of the Maryland Athletic Council prohibiting women from participating in professional wrestling events until the age of 18. During her time in the BWA, she would become the promotion's main star, winning their world championship 3 times before the company dissolved as a part of the Northeastern Wrestling Collection merger in 2011. Beatrixx never competed for the father promotion, insisting the takeover of her home promotion was "unforgiveable." Throughout the 2010s, Beatrixx wrestled under various names across the globe, but gained perhaps her greatest notoriety as "Lady Beatrixx" in Germany, where she would hold the GSW (Greife Stark Wrestling) women's championship for over 490 days across two separate reigns. It was during this time where Beatrixx would attract attention from larger western promotions. While nothing manifested officially, Beatrixx is noted to have wrestled several dark matches against the likes of Ashley Blaine, KAT, and Anna Mosity in the late 2010s. After her exit from GSW in 2018, Beatrixx returned to Maryland where she is held in high-regard as a trainer, mentor, and influence to women in the area. She wrestled sparingly until 2021, where she returned to full-time competition in several high-profile matches. In an interview in May 2021, Beatrixx reaffirmed her commitment to the future of pro wrestling, but claimed she "has so much more to give" as an in-ring competitor and refused to quit until she saw how far she could take it. In the Summer of 2024, OCWFed and other major promotions once again began to show interest in Beatrixx for her combination of unique presentation as well as her experience, seeing it as an opportunity to further their own women's division. Beatrixx signed her OCW contract and reported to the OCW Combat Center on December 7th, 2024. It was revealed on the January 31st episode of Turmoil that she would be dropping the "Lady" from her name and simply go by the name "Beatrixx". Beatrixx combines a high-impact striking style with a mysterious and calculating personality. She draws her personality from her background as a practitioner of Wicca. Beatrixx has credited her commitment to The Craft to her focus on uplifting other women in the industry and pushing for more individuality and confidence. Her Wiccan influences are seen throughout her pro wrestling presentation, from her entrance to her offense. While Beatrixx is a seasoned pro wrestler, she has preferred to keep her privacy when it comes to her appearance in OCW, seeing it as a fresh start for an entirely new national audience.
  2. Following a night full of surprises, returns, spectacular matches, and a celebration of all things Ambition, the OCW locker room and team were largely thrilled by the reaction of the packed Madison Square audience following the conclusion of the Doc & Antonio main event. However, the jubilance was not felt throughout the entire locker room. Since returning to OCW back in December as a part of OCW's 20th Anniversary event, Inness Quartz has been seen expressing frustration around not just his opponent and agitator Ryu Matsumoto, but with the company at large. It was reported back in January that Quartz was "extremely frustrated" with the production team after several of his planned segments were interrupted or cut short. OCW CEO Jaysin Sensation has openly stated there "are no issues" between the company and the former World Champion, and since the last incident at Ambition 99, Quartz has been focused on facing his former mentor. Following his victory over Ryu Matsumoto on Ambition 100, Quartz attacked the Hall of Famer several times, including intercepting medical staff as they were on their way to provide aid to the veteran. According to internal members of the OCW medical team, they were "completely blindsided" by Quartz' actions and issued complaints to Drago Cesar, Tiberius Dupree, and the rest of the OCW Management team after the incident. Quartz eventually made his way back to the trainers room on his own accord, where it was discovered he had unknowingly sustained a subconjunctival hemorrhage (a broken blood vessel) to his right eye. It is unclear whether the damage was sustained at some point in the match or if it happened in the fracas afterwards as he continued to assault Spider Matsumoto. Those close to the situation report that the damage is "temporary and does not compromise Quartz' availability", but that "his aggression towards the non-wrestling staff" could see possible fines or suspensions, which would fall in line with the way the OCW roster has been handled in an attempt to keep the action between contracted wrestlers. OCW's next event will take place Saturday, February 15th in Quartz' hometown of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as "The Clash" returns to the Wells Fargo Center. The former champion is not scheduled to appear in front of his hometown crowd as of press time. Quartz has not yet commented on the situation. Along with this update, we are still awaiting medical updates for Christine, Clickbait, and Marisa Welch. Marisa's status is especially concerning, following the viscous attack she suffered in the parking lot, considering she is scheduled to compete in a triple threat match with PERL and EMP for the OCW World's Women's Championship next week in Philadelphia. WhereCulture will continue to seek updates and information from OCW and will be certain to provide updates when we receive them.
  3. Yeah, whenever you have a promo, always double check it after conversion from DOCS to WEBSITE or whatever. You can also use the Oracle: https://ocwfedoracle.github.io/MadBotMorrison.html Maybe that will help. Either way, good to know it's a minor transfer issue and not a misunderstanding of the Morrison Method. All good
  4. SPLINTERED THOUGHTS I didn't have "Jay becomes weak-kneed thirsty incel" on my bingo card when this EMP saga started, I know that much. Devon Flash is furiously searching for C-Note. Surprised he's not looking for the cops tbh. trying to little-bro Nate Ortiz is a choice. HOLY SHIT. Nate Ortiz coming out the gates hot with the line: "I've been here for 20 years, I've seen your type a million times... I'm probably going to be here another 20 years while you end up as a good what-if story." Good advice on the back end from Nate too. Even if he layers it in with a threat. Parca's year of greatness on display, fresh new ring announcer and celebratory video. Had I not watched this live, I would have been a bit concerned at the 12 minute timestamp, but it was paced out *pretty* well and worked in a great song, as well as some memories, which you know I'm a sucker for. Iceman's "friendlier" approach is not really what I expected. I still can't really tell if he's honestly trying to build a bridge or if he's being a DECEIVER for a shot at the OCW World Title... Maybe both? Lot of universe connecting going on these days. I LOVE IT! Tons of segments/RPS where multiple moving pieces/facets of the universe are connected. Happened up there with C-Note and Nate, happens here in this UE promo with Damian, Mantis, Temple of Omen, etc. Substance wise, this Deaver/Bourne thing interests me a lot (especially with the interactions they had later in their match), but right now Deaver seems to be solidly locked into a meme phase, or he himself is so goofily blinded by that over-enthusiastic patriotism he talks about. Both the US and Canada representatives here don't sound like outright good guys or bad guys, both just equally annoying, but in a harmless way. Right now I read Deaver and Vincent as smarmy, confident little shits (though loyal to their people) and Petie/Eddie more as their "straight men", which is a tried and true dynamic and keeps Deaver/Vincent from leaning too heavily into unlikeable. Either way, glad to see UE spreading their wings and being involved in several things without losing their connective tissue. JACOB HAWK VS BAE: I like Jacob Hawk's look and aesthetic, and even though I ALSO love Guerrilla Radio, it does not fit his slow-moving bad-assery. I would expect someone fired the fuck up flying through that curtain ready to Kerry Von Erich this thing. That and try to mix crowd noise and your theme better, would be my only critique on the entrance. Overall fun match, we know what to expect from BAE and watching him get beat up by a newcomer is EZ money. No FPR breaks, moveset didn't offend me. No shocker, Asher knows how to act 95% of the time in OCW. Now it's time to dive in and explore the character with some feuds and interactions. --- Post-match promo in-ring! I'll tell you one thing, Jacob Hawk leaves absolutely no room for ambiguity regarding where he stands against the rest of the roster. Good simple emphatic "I am going to be a menace and idc who knows". I like the added little potshots for further planting your flag in THIS company. Sometimes introductory promos can feel a little "universal" or "vanilla" when they don't ground themselves in the universe in front of them. Hawk does not let that happen, calling OCW his new home, referencing a solid handful of currently impactful wrestlers, etc. He's def a heel and now I have even more reason to hate Guerrilla Radio as a theme. I really enjoyed the UE backstage promo with the boys in suits & Stacy Clark doing her best Irish impression. (still better than Jay's). The substance here is valuable, especially on the heels of the shirt stuff before. THIS is more how I viewed UE, not so much that they're buttoned up, but just that they're focused and despite Gabe's meming antics, both guys still make you wanna cheer for them. Flipshit and Dipshit is great. Eddies voice makes me weak in the knees. Loved Gabe's line "you can't just wear anything around here". A clear nod to the t-shirt thing without making it seem whiny or overprioritized. Good work here. Good luck in the title match next week. Gabe as the chaotic jokester and Eddie as the straight laced wrestler is a great dynamic. Mantis and Damian Bourne have their own get-together ahead of their match. Love that both teams made an effort to build up some rapport pre-match, especially Mantis and Damian. Mantis' way to sell the choke against Belakor is hilarious. Some industrial cans attached to a mask on the side of his head is true lunacy, which is just as well as Damian uses it as a dig against the US Healthcare system (he's right, why don't we care for our people?). MORE universe connecting as Mantis and Damian both mention several items from their past while chatting. This was surprisingly more grounded than the other team's promo. Damian's got the same toxic patriotism, but he wields it in a much more "regal" and "honorable" manner than Deaver, which adds a nice twist to the "US vs CA" angle, even if both are generally heelish. UE VS DAMIAN & MANTIS Another super fun match, no need to repeat what was said a bunch in stream/over the week. Highlight here was Damian and Deaver being super focused on trolling each other, which is just great work and a way to maximize your minutes in a comp match. It's not easy to do but everyone played their part here, and they all benefited from it. Deaver pounding on Mantis and isolating the injured person in the match also works well to emphasize the finish. --- Jordan Trance arrives way past call-time, pretty unprofessional for the #1 contender. A letter from B17! Nickleback joke, lit. Jacob Trance fat joke? lit. Reference to #Austin Lee's social media fixation? Lit. Aries time traveling reference? Lit. I love me some memories/references, but this doesn't overdo it I think. There's obvious connective tissue between these two already and B17 being the "cool Uncle who gives you sage advice" would be great, if I didn't already know Jordan's going to be super edgy and rejecting of that patronizing advice. Damian and Mantis hash out the loss! This one has substance, but is kinda hard to read as the format is all messed up. There were a couple instances of this in the prematch one but this one has a lot of it. Make sure you guys are putting the actions/non-speaking portions in bold in their own section. SIDEBAR BEGIN Example: The Mantis: DON'T! SAY IT! He suddenly shouts, turning to Bourne, before looking him dead in the eye. His breathing becomes ragged and laboured inside the medical mask. The Mantis: He stares Bourne down for a moment, his eyes filled with a barely contained rage, before collecting himself. Damian chuckles in his mind thinking of El Gran Mistico, still successfully baiting the young wrestler. Mantis isn't saying anything other than "Don't! Say it!", yet all of the other narrative text is placed as if he's saying it out loud. It should read like this: The Mantis: DON'T! SAY IT! He suddenly shouts back at Damian Bourne, before looking him dead in the eye. His breathing becomes ragged and labored inside the medical mask. Mantis stares Bourne down for a moment, his eyes filled with a barely contained rage, before collecting himself. Damian chuckles in his mind, certainly thinking of El Gran Mistico, still successfully baiting the young wrestler. This is not an attempt to be nitpicky or snarky about formatting, but think of it like the FPR of RPs. I wanna spend time on the substance, not figuring out how to read it. SIDEBAR FINISHED Things get very heated between the two, both blaming each other for causing the loss and taking jabs at one another. No physicality here, but Mantis probably wins the shout-fest, especially calling out Damian's nonsense Toxic Patriotism in a serious way. Damian does not relent, instead just kinda laughing in Mantis' face. Needless to say, these two will not be forming a long lasting tag team. SKADI VS ASHLEY MOORE I like Skadi and when Ashley's not wrestling with questionable ethics, she's one of the very best OCW has ever seen. It's not a long match, but it's a good one. I've liked SKADI since her debut and she has a good style battle with Ashley both in aesthetic and wrestling style. Ashley seemed very locked in, probably empowered through her frustrations with Belle. Ashley was in a mode reminiscent of her OCW Women's Championship runs when she was dominant towards everyone. Skadi continues to try and act honorably even in defeat, but Ashley has lost the plot and all semblance of niceties are out the window. She tells Skadi to hit the road before we get a BELLE SPECIAL SLAP. Simple, effective, everyone looks good here. -- B17 getting hit up by scam texts in the locker room. Except this scam caller is very cryptic and weird... Oh wait, it's just Jordan Trance with some infuriating EMOTIONAL DAMAGE towards B17. Nothing like going after someone's love for their dog to be a real piece of shit heel. Bingo gave him some advice and tried to use his memories as a heartfelt gesture. Trance took those heartfelt ideas and weaponized them. Fuck you, Jordan. Leave the dog out of this. Earlier tonight, Clickbait was fucking KIDNAPPED. Junko's attempts to get a Pride Championship rematch on threat of ending Dragana's new friend for good! The threats are unfounded of course, as Dragana takes the elevator (amazing audio production as always here, comedic timing mixed with high stakes) and the brawl ensues! Junko's already proven she'll go to absurd lengths, so it's good Dragana showed up. Junko's also holding strong as one of the few opponents Dragana has encountered who refuses to be swayed by fighting with love and pride... She's out for gold. Where the fuck is Mr. Sensation and why is Akita hiding him from me? JORDAN TRANCE VS ALEKSANDER BOLEK "The Redemption of Aleksander Bolek" continues with a match against the #1 Contender. Should be a great opportunity for Jordan to build momentum ahead of- OH FUCK WHAT Jordan clearly is too fixated on B17's letter and his act of Doggo Vengeance, as he's unable to kickout of the D-Capitator (lil powerwalk punt) very early in the match!!! Sell at your own risk, kids. This complicates things now, as giving Bolek any confidence usually does. -- our NA Champion has a serious case of food poisoning so bad it's compromised his organs. The clown is beginning to malfunction, causing even the doctor to freak out. JynX voice is now out of wack and he's smiling again. More light flickering and JynX has what I can only assume is a baby bump and an automated voice. I guess this goes to show you shouldn't fuck with BASH. I'll keep that in mind. From one NA Champ to the man he beat for it, C-Note making sure he does not let Devon's attempts to find him go unanswered. In the lavish penthouse, as confident as ever. C-Note's arrogant antics work well against other heels, a good example of how you can become a babyface by simply targeting your vitriol at someone who deserves it rather than someone who does not. The Clark Effect! Luis is here to show off his new merch line. ("CHECKM8" is a gr8 name). Luis confidently talks about his triple threat next week on Turmoil, mentioning his past training with Samsin inside Scumchester Academy several years ago. It seems Luis is beginning to turn a corner, as he clearly does not seem to be taking the interview seriously. Stacy attempts to grill him on making the choice NOT to help Samsin against DNS, to which he says he "doesnt have a reason to fight them", blaming Iceman's absence for the attack. The usually reserved and friendly Luis is beginning to find his edge and his focus. MARISA VS JUNKO Two of the most entertaining in a stacked women's division, we knew it'd be good. Junko is given a long time on the outside of the ring, lenient refs, Too lenient, as PERL gets involved, making this muddy World Championship picture even muddier. Solid match with plenty of storyline implications to boot. -- Trance and B17 are done playing nostalgia tag as he finds the younger Trance in medical. Jordan Trance hilariously claims he stayed down on purpose to avoid further injuries to stay as healthy as possible for the Championship match. Which is both hilariously stupid, as well as very transparent. He doesn't mention any potential complications with Bolek pinning him as #1 contender, which is just as well because he knows he only barely bamboozled his way into this situation to begin with. I'm wondering how much of Jordan's frustrations are being held close to the vest. I want to believe he believes in himself and believes he was the one in the right, but I can see how some of these recent events are starting to get to him, someone new to this kind of spotlight. 8 years and like 900 combined days as a champion and Quartz can't get a face-to-face with the boss. Cool. JUNKO VS MARISA Match was double posted on pages 4 and 5. Though I am surprised to see a tech/production issue that doesn't end with my content getting cut for once. -- Nate Ortiz is here to give us a lil press conference. He reasonably mentions how a long career of his magnitude takes a toll on the body, but that he'll be back and ready for whomever his next challenger will be! He says he will definitely be on Turmoil to take out one of the "pieces of trash" on his list. Oh right, and he namedrops Quartz because I guess he really likes losing to him. Maybe another time, 'Chize.a Keep it in your pants. BASH VS SHELDON TREMBLAY Have really enjoyed Sheldon's entire career, everything flows and makes sense, he doesn't break rules or FPR, he's always around and doing stuff, etc. Character specific, he and BASH both are at crossroads, with BASH's enemies becoming so numerous he needs to recruit even more while he tries mightily to get another crack at the CCW World Championship following B17's pathetic attempt to represent OCW at the Anniversary show. Sheldon on the other hand, is creating enemies at this point. Long overdue, I'd say, as Sheldon's been jerked around constantly since entering the limelight, with his friends in SANCTUM either leaving or turning on him, Kassidy using him and spitting him out when he was done, his feel-good world title reign cut short by a crafty HOFer in Aries, his chance to regain it stymied in a big way in that Ironman match... Sheldon's been through a lot and while it's hard to blame him for being upset, his aggression is taking hold no matter what. I think the pressure and stress took a big affect in this match, as the grandstanding and hotdogging allowed BASH to regain control and he never ceded it again. John gets his lick back and is now firmly focused on taking Sheldon down a notch. Samsin still after BASH even after the match is over. Very excited to see whether Sheldon's able to corral this angst into focused energy or if it keeps getting in his way as he keeps battling with John Carter. -- GREAT SHOW. I didn't focus much on matches as we saw those live, we've talked about them a bunch already. tanks
  5. An intense, rhythmic breathing hums periodically through a dark void. Flashes of blue static are visible in seemingly random intervals. After a few moments, the haunting noise is interrupted by a clear, yet calm spoken voice. Voice: "Returning to knee-strenuous sport before a minimum 9-month or 36-week period has been proven to be associated with an approximately 7-fold increased rate of sustaining a second ACL injury." The voice is unanswered, though the breathing continues to grow in intensity. Voice: "Of the sample, one hundred fifty-nine of them were aged 30 or older, making up about 32% of the study." Stop it. Shut up. Be quiet. The breathing is accompanied by several murmurs, barely audible amongst the calm voice continuing. Voice: "The results indicate that those over 30 years of age are over 4 times likelier to sustain a second injury than the rest of the control group. Studies indicate that an even longer period of rehabilitation should be consider-" A sudden shout silences the voice, before the breathing labors for a moment. Coming into view are the eyes of one Ijitu Quartz. Sweat drips slowly from his forehead as he wipes his blue hair from his face. As the image becomes more clear, we see Ijitu seated on a less-than-high-quality exercise bike. His peddling has stopped as he takes a moment to wince at his recently torn ACL in his left knee. Quartz peers up angrily into the black void to showcase his frustration with the source of the pertinent injury. Standing seemingly just feet away inside The Mind is Intell Quartz. Both men appear a bit younger than present day Quartz. Ijitu Quartz: If anyone wanted to hear your gah' damn opinion, someone woulda asked. Intell Quartz: My voice is simply the echo of which your poor decision-making manifests. Intell Quartz: Despite constant reminders from those close to you... Well, those that are left close to you anyway... As well as my apparently unpleasing voice rattling around, you continue on this suicide mission. Ijitu turns his attention back to his injured knee, which was torn completely just 5 months prior, in December of the previous year. He shakes his head rebelliously as he responds, not moving his fixed gaze from his knee. Ijitu Quartz: You act like you're some kinda' genius, but you ain't the one in control, are you? Tell me why that is? Intell Quartz: Sigh... Intell Quartz: I've no interest in meddling, only learning about how people behave. Surely, I could impart what I know onto you so that you could operate the body with that knowledge, but it seems I do not need to peer through your eyes in order to learn about the stubborn, idiotic motivations of people. We have you to showcase all of it. Intell Quartz: You're so blinded by your own selfish ideals that you intend to further cripple the only vessel you have in order to make those ideals a reality. Ijitu barks back immediately. Ijitu Quartz: Because if I don't, nobody else will! Every day I'm sitting back pussyfooting- Intell Quartz: You mean resting? Recovering? Ijitu Quartz: -is another day that SOMEONE ELSE is out there taking opportunities that belong to ME. Ijitu Quartz: Don't act like either of you two have the stones to stand up for something! To do what it takes? To make the sacrifices for this? For us? Intell repositions his reading glasses as he glances back down to the study, shaking his head in doubt. As the view pans, we see a stoic Inness Quartz in thought, his arms crossed. He looks down at Ijitu's knee for a moment before that knee resumes the fierce peddling on the worn exercise bike. He stares briefly before a shutter runs down his spine, shaking his focus, before the same voice breaks him from his trance. - Inness opens his eyes slowly. As the blur subsides, he takes a long swipe across his forehead to realize it is drenched in sweat. He looks down to get his bearings, now finding himself seated on that same exercise bike. Intell Quartz: Hm. Looks like I don't need to continue with the statistics. The man who recently returned at OCW's 20th Anniversary show takes a heavy breath, realizing he has returned from his memory to the current day, January 7th, 2025. Intell Quartz: It should be obvious at this stage that rehabilitation only gets more difficult as the body ages. Almost 10 years ago, Ijitu got lucky he did not cause permanent damage. However this time- Ijitu Quartz: Lucky. Hah, you wish. Seated in a chair with a massive brace on his knee, similar to the last time we saw him at Wrestlution 18, Ijitu Quartz sits forward and places his elbows on his knees. Ijitu Quartz: Don't listen to his bullshit. You and me, we may not see eye to eye on everything, but unlike him, we know what it takes. Ijitu Quartz: He doesn't understand the world out there. Doesn't understand the pain we've put ourselves through for the greater good. Intell Quartz: Hmph. Amazingly, your childishness has only gotten worse since then. Inness Quartz: He's right. Both Intell and Ijitu snap their attention to Inness, whose shoulders raise and lower alongside his deep breaths. Inness Quartz: There's too much to be done. I realized that when I saw that parasite in the ring at the 20th Anniversary. As long as I'm in control, I won't let it happen. Intell scoffs at the implication and looks at both Ijitu and Inness for a moment. Intell Quartz: This is not something I expected to hear from you, Inness. Usually you are the only reasonable one I can rely on. Intell Quartz: Do you both realize I am attempting to save the body from yourselves? Do you not remember when the foundation nearly crumbled? Look, I understand the two of you have gone back and forth over recent years, but you must understand that ceding control to the other doesn't mean the actual body is restored? It holds the punishment and pain you have been trading for the last 20 years. The reason you both continue to "sacrifice" is because you refuse to properly- Inness Quartz: It may be a mistake, but I would rather suffer in martyrdom than not stand up for the OCW we sacrificed everything for to begin with. I will repair my knee. I will shut down that leech Spider once again. I will correct everything in OCW that has poisoned it in recent times. Someone has to. A hush falls over the void as Inness peers at both of them with a snarl. The dark world around them peels away back to the real world, where Inness Quartz sits on the exercise bike, exhausted. He winces once more as he continues peddling in focused rebellion.
  6. Classic wrestling tabloids spreading clickbait.
  7. Hello! Pre AH Thoughts! Belle with a nice straight forward promo, re-establish presence and alignment. Nothing crazy happened but perhaps this was just a warmup leading into the triple threat today Very nice job on the Damian Bourne reintroduction. Surely a whole new persona here, but I dig it. He's like a reliable combination of anti-american heel but adding in a snarling, weasly positivity. I imagined a goofy patriotic stock song in the background of this. Lot more campy than I expected after the first promo but I like this extreme better anyways. Goddrifter on the scene! First impression is I really like the throwback/Doom/Slayer flashing during the introduction of his song. As a fan of this song, I'm wondering if it could be mixed better to remove the slow bridges? Goddrifter's appearance is a bit... busy. There's a lot going on and not a whole lot to make sense of. Not to say that's necessarily unwinnable if chaos is the idea, look at stupid horse. If that is the case, we'll figure out the character more over time. If not, I think the look can be refined down too once he evolves. Petie drags the kid as expected. Everyone gets a beatin' or two learning the ropes. Nice win and a shout out to Omen at the end. Jacob Hawk continues the new guy parade with a dark brooding promo. At least he didn't kick Jim Black's ass like SOME PEOPLE WOULD. Pretty standard new hights promo but with different flair, not just new hights but a focus on the danger and risk. There's something to explore there, especially if there's consistency or logic behind following that loose thread. Could see a delusional heel who targets "comfortable" situations while he works his way up the ranks. Great 30 second hit for the Red Menace. I thought this was RIOT, not Ambition??? I'm guessing this is that new Belakor dude, which is amazing if so. Either way if not, it was well done and straight to the point for a new wrestler. No overuse of "red scare" cliches as a Russian born wrestler, he had an accent and mentioned the tough life on the streets. Ambition segment sees John Carter leverage his Ambition experience (like when Trance buckle bombed his dick in the dirt) to try and raise the spirits of a young rookie. Gabe seems to be battling with confidence issues, but I was taken by surprise by John's challenge. I'm very glad to see Ambition 100 stuff gearing up already, and John helping add good-guy feathers to his cap by helping out a new kid. John's AI voice is... better than the ridiculous Italian meme voice, but still not my favorite. It's not up to me to say whether that voice fits, but it's one of those where hearing it doesn't match how my brain had thought he sounded. Too movie-trailerish, but it's hard because most shitty AI voices are that way. Perl falls to Christine, so the theme of both Valk and Perl seeming to be unable to focus on anyone but each other will continue. Solid matchup of different styles, and the ending was fun. Perl getting pissy but shut down by a version of Valk that's tapping back into her violent side, showing she's willing to go there ahead of the Hell in a Cell match between these two. Always strong longer stories out of Valk and I think in general that more deliberate feud pace has caught on too. Perl couldn't ask for a better feud to put her on the map as her own woman and we still got a little bit before OCW 20. Sheldon Tremblay's quiet humility is finally broken, as we see the tattered remnants of a man beaten and left by everyone and everything he was told he was the just heir too. You feel bad for Tremblay in a way that makes you NOT want to see him tarnish his reputation. A justifiably pissed off prodigy who may not be completely delusional, but it seeming to be willing to go to undue lengths to get there. Great way to work in his own history without overdoing it, talking about where he's been and that people should respect his body of work. "OCWFed is the best but I can make it better my way!" Not the old trope of "I will destroy OCW for casting me aside", but a flavorful take where he wants to BE OCW's #1 guy and mold the place in a way that won't mistreat him the way he perceives he was mistreated. Even in darkness, you can still see the morality and motives of Sheldon shine through... Guess we need to wait to see what lengths he'll actually go to. THE EIGHTIES ARE BACK Marisa weaponizing her own misguided world-view onto someone from an entirely different background, great comedic setup in general, but this was more serious than I expected. I love that Marisa continues to justify her "bad" behavior with reasoning you could genuinely see her believing is true. As a usually-lying manipulator, I thought it was notable she wasn't lying to Skadi, even on a level where you could think she's trying to actually befriend her. She is definitely not lying when she says she thinks everyone only cares about appearances, which both explains her own fixation on glamour/appearances as well as shows she isnt' some twisted materialistic weirdo, it's just how she handles self-preservation. This angle has always been one of her strongest to appear more human, but I'm interested to see it show up now with Skadi, who herself is just only beginning to establish the kind of person she is, as she does here showing that despite her appearance and tough-girl facepaint, she's staying true to herself. The tag division keeps taggin along as the Temple of Omen opens it's doors to the Pivot. The new establishment steps on the PIvot as Mass Effect get their licks back from the recent jumps from the Pivot's side. simple but effective. At some point these back and forth attacks need to be settled by something between ME and the Pivot... but what? Belle and Ashley address the awkward timing and lack of togetherness on TV lately, Ashley really fucking mean girls Belle here, super passive aggressive and feeling as if she's the one who has been let down by Belle. Rather than chatting out any misunderstanding, she goes right for the veiled shots and finger pointing ahead of Belle's match. Cesar segments are always show stealers, showing substance and simplicity can both exist together. Junko continues to seek out a weakness of Draga-chan, which she cannot becaus eDraga-chan is pefect. Flecha is different person but also perfect. Junko seems to be uncertain of all the unfiltered silliness, but is definitely fixated on figuring out Dragana (which she wont because dragana is perfect) Megan Suzuki and Belle put on a showcase. Megan's aesthetic is super pastel punk and I dig it, lil joshi variance. Let's mix that crowd audio with the theme and such going forward! (Also you can turn Break Out HUD off in your game settings when recording OCW ents/victories!) Belle gets CLIPPED before Ashley provides just enough of a distraction for Belle to land a Contour Crush. Great match as Belle is known for & now Ashley has forced her hand into Belle's matches, how will the pupil respond to this interference? Luis Bishop is fine, but CLOWNDIO WONT BE WHEN HES THROUGH WITH HIM. Luis is such a natural and all the good things you all think about him are exactly why I signed him as a Dillinger Dude. (name pending). B17 & Wrex's wacky adventures popped me huge. First of all, how do so many people have access to dialing into that TV screen? WREX has to be off several rockers at this point, right? Has someone checked his head, uce? I'm pumped for the tag match and enjoy the little threads they're building off of to get there, especially between BASH and B17. More threads mentioned with Jacob Trance's son tapping in (huge pop for the windows XP reboot joke to get there) and mentioning Invictus. This was simple fun. someone please check on wrex for the love of god John is back in real time now! Oh for some reason his voice sounds better in this one than it did in the Ambition one. I could see it, he does sound *older* than he looks but it works otherwise. Substance wise, more John showing his humanity focusing not just on Parca's abhorrent behavior, but on his love for Wrestling, which has persisted even when he was being a fucking moron and wearing headgear. It was a gimmick, but the love never was. Nova interrupts as Parca's little proxy young boy, as Parca usually sends. He warns John he won't make it to Parca with some harsh words. Also, Nova sounds like some sort of digital age MAHARAJA (iykyk) Pissed off Sheldon Tremblay doesn't just come out attacking good guys! He's still got a score to settle and focuses on Nova with John as they try to keep pushing through to the champ himself. Pugh is ready to kill the guy who just said he loves hamsters on the mic. He does just that, as he tears into Wrex in a classic promo style that seems to be more and more vintage by the year. Pugh stays on target, but mentions everything has a shelf life, which both attacks Wrex's perceived complacency as well as throws his own shelf-life and mortality front and center. Being someone who doesn't let obvious contradictions like that sit there, Pugh immediately takes a bite out of it, showing it does affect him too and that's why he feels so strongly about getting vengeance on Wrex for taking out Rust Cohle and by extension, his own avenue to a Grand Slam accolade. Saying Wrex is set to expire soon isn't just a flat insult, it's a reminder to both men where Wrex is headed, and the reason he's headed there all at the same time. ITS MEAT MOUNTAIN TIME WOO Tre and RyVaughn beef it out. I always enjoy RyVaughns creativity on offense. Tre on the backfoot most of the 2nd half of the match, a spear out of nowhere made me think a big comeback was coming, but RyVaughn shut it down with another Omerta Kama. Cold Front washes through to chill Stacy Clark, dig it. I love how I can read everything Iceman says in his own voice, even written. Iceman starts with some words of optimism and hope after Hard Target, addressing that loose end as Samsin digs his heels in talking about his goals to kill DNS once and for all. The two wrap up by targeting the Underground Elite to help set up next weeks tag match, which I was already looking forward to before promo work. This was very effective and reminded me of a classic Sanctum promo. Not in the same style or character work, but more in the sense that they are able to have multiple different goals/things going on and address them efficiently in single promos. Nothing left in the void unanswered. Here's what we're doing. Here's why we're doing it. Everything covered. El Primero delivers a harsh retort to Carter, explaining he was just on his usual path to world domination and John just had to go and fall in the way. John's quietly been on his own journey to main event greatness, so I have enjoyed how they've split what I expected to be a triple threat into two separate programs. I'm even more interested that Sheldon isn't just going away but will remain a factor in this. I could see him costing John a big moment out of rage? Maybe John puts his foot down? How does Jinder MaNova fit into that? Either way, terrific promo from El Parca and his VA does a great job being expressive. COWNIO grew out his locs and furrowed his brow and wants us to take him super serious all of the sudden. Take your ass somewhere else you bikini wearing freak. COWNLIO focuses his efforts on John ahead of their Animol House brawl and continues stating his goal of being a champion once again. The world's greatest babyface Luis Bishop comes out with the world's worstest theme to respond to the previous attack and CLOWNIO runs away like the coward he's always been Everyone's favorite International Champion Nate Ortiz is here. Nate drops a few of his intentions, and after that absurd celebration, I'm inclined to believe nobody wants to sit through a 43 minute Nate Entrance to compete for his title. Suddenly P3 shenanigans break out! Mugen and B17 join the fray and it sort of pans over to them for the rest of the segment, interconnected segments popped me. Mugen toils in nonsense for a few moments, but starts to eye down the CCW title noting that it's the only thing he's never won... MUGEN has been a bit "so back" as the kids say since his pretty solid INT title run and he's always entertaining. My OCW viewing experience began with Mugen as World Champion and he's a right sport to challenge Bingo's throne next should that be where it's headed. Wrex responds to Pugh! Wrex gets back to his serious self and drops some knowledge. Beautiful job picking up that thread Pugh delivered about legacies, historical importance, and our mortality. Wrex takes his stance in a similar direction, noting he's ALSO after the grand slam, but providing a dig to Pugh by saying he wasn't even out there to deal with him. it was the International Title he was after. Wrex toils in the negative reinforcement aspect of their legacies and sort of reminisces over the glory and power it gave him. He doesn't care about being the "face" of a company, as long as he's the one everyone remembers. Two men with reasonable and well-meaning goals, now tied up with each other (again) as a means to accomplish their goals. Very different from their 2020 feud in all the best ways. THE MAAAAAAIN EVENT was awesome! Great use of character in both guys actions/moves and going out of their way to add flair and variety in the offense, B17's history in champ vs champ matches is never disappointing. Parca gets a measure of comeuppance at the end when The Mouth of the South Johnnie Carter shows up to serenade him. We brought up the King of OCW Match from 2020, their only other singles match. B17 won that match and it ended on a respectful handshake. Loved the parrallels here in the change, as they seem to be shaking hands again only for Parca to walk away like a pissy prince. B17, at least for now, is OCW's Crown Jewel Champion. John, your interference and stealing his glory probably mean you're going to get put through the ground, but hey it was fun on the way! get your charity hats on for animol house today!
  8. OOOOOOOOOO the kid got your ass, Sensation. You've been served.
  9. you're just jealous you didn't think of it first as we all should be Also edit *Jay's the Mr. McMahon of the empire strictly in that he's the grand boobah of the entertainment medium and has done is on the highest level for longer than anyone else could dream of doing it and for no other reasons
  10. oh and STOP BREAKING FPR are you kidding me what are we doing here, way too many per week.
  11. Hello Love when people feel strongly enough to provide feedback, regardless of whether or not I agree. RE: Deb/EMP from my perspective- I know there are times and places for more nuanced/non physical altercations and as EMP pointed out, both of us have gone that route plenty, including against each other. Just so we're clear, this is all a deliberate choice and not some lazily thrown together thing we just didn't have the time to build on. I asked EMP prior to recording with Shianne if she'd be interested because that is how the entire Shianne title build started and it played perfectly into the fact Shianne had never gotten her 1v1 up to this point, the insinuation being that both heel debbie and EMP didn't consider her "good enough", to which she proved she was, despite coming up just short. EMP was the next logical person and to me, her behavior is a logical escalation of how she already tried to handle Deborah before, with her power & manipulation of her friends/goons. That did not work for EMP, and if you recall, she was shrugged off once Shianne stuck to her guns, so of course she'd be furious. I think back to her initial interactions with Terra, Heather, and Harri Etiquette, where it started as mindgames/power abuse before turning to violence when that didn't work. The idea for "goodie two shoes" Deborah to try and start with a typical promo battle to address Summercide, only for EMP to go 0-100 and *skip past* the pleasantries, was on purpose. To me, it's meant to be viewed as "EMP is skipping the mental part and going right for the jugular." This is due to both her frustration with what happened with Shianne, as well as a less obvious sign of respect for how strong Deborah has been. (IE, I kill her before she kill me). Another factor was Deborah's face turn. She had lost a bit of her "edge" that got her to this point (something EMP pointed out with the House of Deborah and Shianne in total), so she was caught off guard by trying to just talk to EMP. This allowed Deborah to be something the other overtly violent feuds were not and bounce right back to show her she can be just as violent. EMP has long used extreme violence to get her way, but not always were the victims so ready and willing to get back up. (Most eventually do and do it the right way, the idea here being Deborah is not above sinking to her level, as that's what heel Deborah always did.) It was always meant to deliberately show that EMP can't flex on Deborah the way she has others. There's a ton of viable ways to pull this off, and we considered a complete abuse of power thing that coulda gone any direction, but I felt that was not appropriate given Deborah basically holds a similar amount of pull with the other authority figures. EMP is cerebral, so she would have known that IC and not bothered with the "oh hohoho traveler I'm here to strip you of the title and take it for myself!" More to come as we head to Hard Target, so I will stop there and thank y'all again for popping some show disco. Love it or hate it, it means you felt strongly enough to comment and to me, that's all that matters (also it makes Jay's heart happy so anything that does that is a ++) My point in the response is more to show that this isn't some hastily/lazily thrown together concept or something that's because of my IRL circumstances. If I wanted to mail it in, I'd just vacate the thing and move on. Not to say it was explicitly said, but just making sure it's clear that this isn't just some oversimplified thing due to IRL constraints, at least it's not to me, I enjoy rambling off all the tidbits and pieces of character development and logical reasoning behind things, so hopefully it's read that way and not being defensive, because I don't need to be. Maxx is right, there were other angles that coulda been fun, but to me, between these two at this point in time, violence was always the only option. I don't mind the Godzilla vs Kong comparison, but there's a lot more that goes into what led to this point and why aside from "two big monsters throw hands" in my opinions, but I'm obviously much closer to it, so no harm no foul. I suppose we'll have to see what happens after the no-contact clause was immediately and obviously broken. 😄 -- Aside from that, I admittedly haven't been as tapped in, but I always throw the show on while cooking or in the background because y'all do good work. Apologies in advance for any inaccuracies but here's thoughts from the brain: Iceman's return has been a fun surprise with him capturing the #1 contender stuff. His overinvolvement in lots of things we've seen before from other busy entities and it'll cool down before it becomes a bit much, I'm sure. Some creative new characters to fill in the gaps on cards and give fun matches. (both rookies and new characters alike) I kinda really like the Underground Elite. The mystery leader of theirs could make or break them but the group alone is fun and I always love early initiative from rookies. Parca is back to being a shitter, where he fits best. I don't mind Nova Rosalio(?) as a heater. John inserting himself into it as a three way was well done and organic via booking and I could easily see Sheldon being miffed about this. Also adds opportunity to build into the next show Loving the pride title being more of a tv focus since Cide Mass Effect are great leaders of the division, very easy to understand and they don't take themselves too seriously. Easy to fit in with any tag team when needed. I feel like I didn't really register the Loser Lemonade as that deep. If someone was unsure why you're selling it, you can take that as "I need to be more clear on my jokes/gags" rather than getting all snippy and throwing out insults. We love ya Dev, no need for that. All on the same team. BASH has slid himself in as a reliable guy who can hang with main eventers and legends from an OCW/IC standpoint. Valkyrie's battles with PERL and DNS are fun, an opposite sort of creative battle from what we're seeing elsewhere. I love when OCW accidentally/organically does different stuff and doesn't overdo one particular style of feud. This reminds me of when Valk's old streamer friend Alyssa Winters came back and gave us one of our first glimpses into her background & life away from wrassling. DNS has history of using hacking to fuck with people so it all fits. I love Dragana, all segments she's in are perfect. I do not love Kass being in the CCW picture, he was officially removed from it. This isn't a loophole in the wording or interesting way around it - such as when he cashed in *before* the Lution 15 main event since the language specifically read *during or after*. It's just shrugging it off. I WORKED TO HARD TO LET THIS MAN BACK INTO THE CCW PICTURE! WHERES MY RED COAT ribbit but hey, it's wrestling so anything is on the table, I just would like a better way around it than "emp said I could". thanks again world, be nice to each other for fucks sake.
  12. After the chaotic ending of RIOT 623, we see Terra Daturas, surrounded by several protective OCW security team members. She peers away from the TV, still reeling from the violence displayed by former OCW World Champion Maxx Edwards. She nervously looks around at the security detail, assuredly put into place to prevent Empress from attempting to blindside her in the wake of Drago Cesar’s massive announcement that made her the special guest referee for Wrestlution 18’s match between EMP and Heather Angelo. Speaking of which… Heather: Hell yes! There you are! Terra is relieved to see Heather and turns towards her with a smile. Heather: I’ve been looking for you since I heard the news. Drago Cesar just signed, sealed and delivered Empress’ fate next weekend. Terra: Yes, I am very relieved he- Heather: After what happened last year, after everything she’s done. Now she has no chance and will have to face the pied piper. I’m going to love getting my hands on her even more now. Terra: Heather. Heather’s joyous rambling breaks for a moment to acknowledge the firm interruption. Terra: I am very relieved Drago Cesar assigned a special referee for the match, I am. Terra: …But please understand that I am not out there to gang up on Kumiko or anything like that. Heather’s head tilts, almost trying to decipher what she had just heard. Heather: Mida, I thought you woul- Terra: I need you to understand how seriously I take this. Drago Cesar has put his neck on the line for you… For you to get a FAIR fight. We both know how capable she is, how resourceful. I will be there to stop her from using those resources in an unfair way… Heather’s joy has now mostly faded as she continues to listen. Terra nods and puts her hand on Heather’s arm. Terra: That extends to you as well. I know how emotional this is. I was in the same place last year. What I told you last week still must ring true. You have to do this YOUR way and you have to do it the RIGHT way. Terra: I will keep her in line… And you as well, if it comes to it. The important part is ensuring that EMP cannot snake her way out of this, not to stoop to her level. Her hand slowly releases from Heather’s arm as she seems conflicted choosing the high road. Terra: As long as you understand that… I have the utmost faith that you will be the one to remove Kumiko once and for all. Heather: I… Understand. I know what I have to do. Terra: Good. I believe in you. ???: As do I. The sound of digitized speech through a speaker is heard as both women turn toward the source of the sound; Dragana Cesar puts her phone away and opens her arms out for a hug. Terra: …Regina Tacet! She smiles wide and jumps into her friend’s arms as they embrace each other. Terra: I am so happy to see you. After a moment, Dragana turns to Heather. Heather: Hey, we haven’t had a chance to talk. I’ve been meaning to apolog- She’s cut off by a hug from the Silent Queen. Heather slowly wraps her arms around her to reciprocate. Dragana lets go, then gently takes Heather’s hand with both of hers. Heather: Thank you! What you do for people is remarkable. Send a special thanks to Amy and give Harper my thanks well. Heather: This is so overwhelming and heartwarming. I swear I won’t let any of you down. I will do everything and anything to end Empress tyranny over OCW. The Hall of Famer nods and gently squeezes Heather’s hand. Heather looks into her big blue radiant eyes. Dragana waves them goodbye before she turns around and walks away. Terra: Soror… Terra looks back at her security before walking away, they follow her close behind as Heather tries to digest what her friend has said to her.
  13. Amazing ending, loving the builds and focused attention. The work on Tre/Rachel and Dawg/Marisa has been awesome to watch. Great fast paced ass match in the ME. Opening RP was completely without dialogue but a tremendous job at telling a story without it. I loved the B17 video segment but please go out of your way to read his interaction with Tony in that RP. Lot of emotion and tie ins to their feud 3 years ago. I hope Stv vs Nate fucks as much as I want it to!
  14. It has been a while since I have been this emotionally upset at the end of a show.
  15. Exciting stuff! Formatting wise, you don't need to use the brackets [] for narrative or non-speaking parts, as long as it's bold, the Morrison Method will do the rest. Just add a line break (enter) between the narrative stuff and dialogue. Content wise, that's pro wrasslin! Looking forward to seeing what Megan's aesthetic is all about on RIOT. The go-home before our biggest PPV event of the year, lots of eyes and a great place to debut.
  16. Quartz replied to EMP's topic in Promo Room!
Why won't you leave the rookies alone? You are really fucked up
  17. WRESTLUTION 18 NEWS - OCWFED.COM As news has broken recently that the Wrestlution 18 card is "all but finalized", there have been several questions surrounding the stars of OCWFed and where they will eventually fall for the biggest 2-night event in pro wrestling history, when Atlanta's state of the art Mercedez-Benz Stadium hosts Wrestlution XVIII on July 13th and 14th. With the event just 3 weeks away, most champions in OCW have begun the arduous process of finding their challengers, though some being handled a little more personally than others. A great example of this comes from the shocking return of the longest reigning CCW Champion in history, Antonio Everrett, this past Friday on RIOT 622. Antonio returned to shock the OCW world at the end of the show, seemingly reigniting his legendary rivalry with current CCW Champion B17. Long time fans will remember 3 years ago, shortly after defeating Thomas Archer to retain the CCW title, B17 was again taken by surprise as Antonio walked through the crowd to confront B17, which led to a physical battle culminating in Antonio defeating B17 at Wrestlution 15 in Los Angeles. The saying rings true, "the more things change, the more they stay the same". B17 was not the only world champion in search of an opponent for Wrestlution, as since taking over as the leader of the House of Faith, OCW's World Women's Champion Deborah Soto has seemingly rested on her laurels, thanks to the overwhelming protection provided from River and Joanna Silver. Since capturing the title at Summercide 2023, Deborah has held the OCW World Women's Championship for 321 days and counting, the longest women's championship reign in modern history, only rivaled by Sophia Ortiz' massive 392 day reign back in 2017. That reign will sit at 342 days and 8 defenses once we arrive at Mercedez-Benz Stadium for Wrestlution Atlanta. There has been plenty of speculation of who could possible threaten such a reign now that the devious House of Faith surrounds the dominant champion. Joanna specifically shared some very pointed words to Deborah & the House's enemies on Friday, during a segment on RIOT. Despite the threat, Deborah has been forthcoming and open about her previous and future challengers, insisting the House is on the same page and they are a preventative measure to prevent her from "being jumped" or attacked from behind as the OCW Women's division continues to grow stronger. Along with long-time veteran Queen Mab recently re-signing with the company, new rookies such as throwback Christine, mysterious PERL, joshi sensation Junko Jirrota & powerhouse Rachel Lochlan have only bolstered the incredibly talented women's locker room. In news that may have come as a big relief to both fans and detractors alike, the speculation will finally end on Turmoil on Friday, June 28th, as Deborah recently announced via Instagram Live that she and the House will finally announce Deborah's challenger for Wrestlution 18. Deborah revealed that management has allowed her a part in the decision, obviously creating a buffer that will prevent Deborah from staging a ruse to defend the title under false pretenses. She is confident that management, specifically Tiberius Dupree and Jaysin Sensation, have accepted her choice and she wants to announce it live next week. Wrestlution continues to heat up on all levels and there is no doubt that this 2-night event will end up being the greatest event in OCW history as we head into the Summer of 2024.
  18. Maxx is so mad, Also - give me toitle shot
  19. A blurry view follows an individual into the corner of a private locker room. The lens is blurred and stifled, turning various shades of red and black as it crashes onto the concrete ground below. The roar of a capacity crowd filling the seats of the Pechanga Arena juxtapose the concerning visual, but accompanies a nearby TV in the corner of the empty locker room. Time has passed and the OCW faithful have moved on from whatever resulting damage is being dealt with behind the scenes. The rest of OCW Point Break continues to play out on this television, which is barely audible over the crowd. A single streak of red falls into frame, as blood drips over the eyes of the individual dealing with the aftermath. A sudden shutter of light brings us to a new vantage point. We see one half of Perfect Storm sitting alone in the corner of the room, wiping the streak of blood from his eyes. He looks at his fingers before looking at the ceiling confused, almost not believing that it's his blood. He breaths heavily in the corner for a moment, the sweat combining with his bloody face to create a damp waterfall of suffering. He smirks, the blood dripping down past his lip and staining his teeth. He knows what comes next. The locker room morphs away slowly and eerily melts into darkness, several lights filling the room in a familiar way. Ijitu Quartz' laughter becomes more outlandish, before he angrily wipes the crimson mask across his face and through his hair, brushing it back and grimacing, knowing what - or who - comes next. Ijitu Quartz: That all you got, you gah' damn vultures!? I am not impressed! Ijitu Quartz continues to mock the darkness as he chuckles, wiping the blood and sweat from his face, attempting to regain clear vision. As he drags his palm across his right eye, clearly revealing the bright blue in his eye, two figures step into view. The former OCW World Champion stares straight forward with the same chaotic anger, waiting to react. In a cut-off black trenchcoat, a mirror of the man himself steps forward, pulling his light reading glasses down and furrowing his brow. He lifts his hand as a small black book forms in his hands. Intell Quartz: Let's see... 2018, You fell time and again by your own arrogance... Changes were needed. Intell Quartz: 2019... Road 2 Gold Tournament... Yep, once again. Intell Quartz: 2021... A jaw-dislocation by the foot of your own flesh and blood. Again. Ijitu leans up into the darkness to cut off Intell's rambling. Intell lifts his reading glasses again and holds the book open, waiting for Ijitu's response. Ijitu Quartz: Yeah, read off your accomplishments then, dipshit! Intell looks disappointed and shakes his head, before readjusting his glasses and continuing. Intell Quartz: 2024... Failed to redeem himself, even by manipulating his own brother. Once agai- Ijitu Quartz: Manipulating?! I swear to god, I will make sure none of us get out of this pit if you finish that sentence. As he finishes his threat, Inness Quartz steps out of the darkness, his long brown beard and shaven head not concealing his legitimate concern for the man suffering on the floor below him. Intell Quartz: Interesting... Please do not forget that all of us represent him, it's in my best interest to protect what you seem so intent on destroying. Intell closes his book and walks forward, calmly closing his reading glasses and placing them gently in the inside of his coat pocket. He thinks for a second before leaning over the battered and bloody Ijitu Quartz. Intell Quartz: Even you can't be so foolish to think we've made it this far without cooperation. This entire time, you have thought it's been a war between the three of us. A war of control, a war between three ideas that think they knew what was best for the body. Intell Quartz: This kind of rebellion is unlike you, Ijitu. Of course, not in general... But towards us? Intell smiles and slowly turns back to look at Inness Quartz, standing with his arms crossed, observing the scene. Intell Quartz: If I didn't know any better, I'd think you were more like Inness than you thought. Ijitu slams his head backwards into the ether, providing himself the adrenaline and grip enough to stand to his feet without assistance. He takes another swipe across his own face, smearing the blood even further, as he steps into the face of Intell. The man donning black simply smiles at him, knowing the three cannot physically interact in the Mind. Ijitu Quartz: I am nothing like that quitter. I'm sure you have records in your little book, too, don't you? Ijitu Quartz: In fact, even if I was, it'd be better than being a sad gaslighting, fake ass intellectual. Ijitu Quartz: Because with him, I know he's gone to war for him. He's put the body on the line just as much as I have. What have you done? Ijitu turns his attention to Inness, still standing silently with his arms crossed. Ijitu Quartz: I'm not giving you shit. You're gonna have to TAKE control from me to stop me from doing what I set out to do. Ijitu Quartz: So if you're going to do it, you better do it now. C'mon, big man! I kicked your little creep pet project Deaver in his face. I ran off that fucking leech Rust Cohle. If you're gonna do something, try it. Inness does not respond, instead only giving a thousand yard stare as Ijitu continues. Ijitu Quartz: That's what I thought... Because you rejected an opportunity that I never gave you permission to reject. You wanna make us out to be this weak second fiddle? I won't let you. H2O is the only one who had a shot at stopping me. He's the only one worthy of my time. Ijitu Quartz: So if you two edgelord fucks have nothing more interesting to tell me... I'm out. I'm not letting you take control from me until I hold the tag team championships again. Intell Quartz: Your priorities are no better for us than they were in 2018. You think you're the hero, but not a single person on the other side sees it that way. Ijitu laughs Ijitu Quartz: Oh is that right? And what did you do when you had control? Lose to AC Cobra? Ijitu Quartz: That's what I thought. Ijitu looks at each of Inness and Intell separately, before taking a deep breath and taking a step. The original locker room begins to manifest... Intell Quartz: I am no fighter. I am a survivor. Sooner, rather than later... You will realize that your reckless pride, your arrogance? It will again force you back here... When that time comes, I will be the one to keep Quartz going. Ijitu pauses for a second, but does not respond, instead choosing to push through the ether into the real world. The light sounds of the TV are once again joined by the roar of the crowd as Harvey Ocean comes through the door, seeing the bloody mess of a partner standing sternly in front of him. Ijitu Quartz: I'm going to fix this... If it's the last gah' damn thing I do. The scene fades as the two convene about their next steps.
