April 13th, 2024 -- LATE last night, WLMZ was alerted to a gathering at the Entwine Cocktail Bar on Washington Street in New York City. Apparently, some kind of major gathering took place on the night which included no fewer than 11 OCWFed contracted pro wrestlers. As we are just days away from a monumental season debut on television for OCW Turmoil, the company's 312th edition of the weekly/biweekly program since taking over the CCW brand many years ago, tensions are high in and around the world of professional wrestling. Questions about who could emerge as the newest star in the company - and even questions about certain roster member's legitimacy!!! As was reported by WLMZ a number of months ago, there are rumors around the OCWFed locker room that newcomer LARIETTE is a ruse to get back at hated GM Empress. Several around the company have gone so far as to report that the newest OCW Star LARIETTE (who recently announced her signing with OCWFED) is simply just former OCW star Terra Daturas (Tera Buteo) wearing a mask. While online pundits may have agreed with the assumption, it seems the questions are over. According to WLMZ and Maxwell Jameson, both LARIETTE (wearing her full mask) and Sue Plex attended the event in full. Accompanying Sue Plex - who is set for a major PRIDE Championship Match on the Turmoil 312 event - was her spouse Terra Daturas. As was reported - after some initial confusion from fans and onlookers, it apparently became accepted that this was not what most fans expected, another fun wrestling angle, and some were surprised to see the new Luchadora in the same location with Terra Daturas at the same time. Some speculate this is an attempt to make it clear LARIETTE is not the former OCWFED women's star, as to not halt her momentum as she prepares for her first appearance on The Clark Effect this Friday on Turmoil. The company has not been vocal about the new signee officially, but it would be hard to ignore the very vocal comments current OCW GM Empress over the last several weeks, though it's not certain how much of her frustration is due to getting destroyed at OCW's On Deadly Ground event in the first ever Women's Pride Championship Match back in March. WLMZ pundit Jackzon Marizo captured this image of LARIETTE and Terra Daturas sharing a moment after leaving the restaurant separately, an image that's been widely circulated since the party last night. Be sure to credit those involved. For now, all we can confirm is that OCW is in the highest of spirits, enjoying the last few days of their time away from the ring before OCW returns on April 19th, 2024 for Turmoil 312, a show that will see not 1, but 2 championship matches and the kickoff to what is sure to be the most insane season in OCWFED's storied 20 year history.

SUE VS ASHLEY I will be rooting for Sue because I love her. Outside of that biased allegiance, I'm sure this won't end without some kind of overexaggerated self-aggrandizing dialogue about how one of the two did something wrong and our new Pride title will continue it's not-so-rich history of being more famous for controversy than sport. WREX VS H2O Wrex has been the silver medal for a long time as Mr. Turmoil but will once again be reminded that he's not what he thinks he is and can take his fat worthless ass back to Michigan after the GOAT buries him. FLOJO VS MARISA Will be an interesting match leaving us wondering which will take the next step, but will ultimately just be another "great match for the sake of great match" FloJo style that leads to nothing. I got FloJo in this one which will only be less relevant when Action Hero Marisa turns it into something amazing. JYNX VS SCOTTY VS DEVON FLASH No real point to guess this. Match will not happen, server issues or something of the like. Some kind of replacement match will fill in and will... exist. HARRIS & MARTIN VS DNS My instincts tell me this match also won't be happening, but for the sake of it, DNS wins and there will be controversy of some kind to ruin whatever fun the match could've had. TELOS VS CNOTE Viktor didn't die to watch Telos lose in his first defense. Or maybe he did. /shrug

March 31st, 2024 - OCWFed.com Exclusive - Stacy Clark Reporting -- As the days before OCW's official return to television tick down, speculation continues to swirl around the international promotion. The status of existing high-profile stars like El Parca, RyVaughn, Colin Locke, Paul Boulet, and others remains a point of contention amongst fans ahead of the April 19th return to in-ring action for Turmoil 312 LIVE on Twitch.tv/OCWFED. However, murmurs around NEW talent making their way into OCWFed have been making their way through social media as well. The signings of independent superstars Eddie Ramos and Rachel Lochlan being made official earlier in 2024 have had fans buzzing online about the potential matchups and new developments we could see already. Given the last several rookie classes in OCW have given the world of pro wrestling some of the very best around, the hopes around the recent signings in OCW are already extremely high. The class is expected to grow exponentially as the season kicks off in mid-April and beyond, but even before we get there, OCW has secured another rookie signing. Though more of an unknown, OCWFED CEO and owner Jaysin Sensation has confirmed the signing of Luchadora star 'LARIETTE'. Little is known about the masked wrestler, aside from her clear penchant for 'heroism' and her upbeat attitude. it's at least known that LARIETTE has spent the last 6 months in the independent scene in Mexico. From what we were able to gather from her profile with Lucha Extrema Mexicana (LEM) and Realeza de la Lucha (RDLW), LARIETTE is an American born Luchadora who honed her craft on the west coast scene and in Mexico over the last several years. LARIETTE has made a name for herself with her mixture of high-flying classic Luchadora style, with a confident addition of precision strikes, submissions, and creative offense. As is tradition in Mexican promotions, we're unable to give much more information about the high-flying super athlete as far as her personal life is concerned, but that shouldn't be any issue for the amazing OCWFed fanbase to instantly connect to the new star. As of press time, Stacy Clark has been given permission from OCW GM Empress to learn more and has since reached out to LARIETTE to request an official interview as a member of the OCWFed roster, which we hope to have for you in the coming weeks here on OCWFed.com We don't know what comes next, but we do know that with the addition of the OCW Women's PRIDE Championship and the amazing contributions of the women's division over the last 4 years in OCW, the sky is the limit for the newest signing in OCW! --

Everyone can do better. Accountability is important and everyone being able to put their 2c in is also. Largely our community does hear criticism, especially when it's not framed in the shittiest way possible, as has been the case several times since Saturday. Heck, even if someone is a prick about how they frame their critique, there's almost always actual nuggets to be taken away and if you're "in the wrong" or even if you THINK you're not and you're receiving criticism anyways, try looking for those takeaways instead of being defensive or shitty in return. Two wrongs and all that. That feedback/clash/accountability happened immediately afterwards, it happened *before* the show aired between those who were in the know and for some reason it's still happening on Tuesday despite the fact it was already addressed. It was a huge bummer and everyone's made that clear at this point. On the other side, it's super unnecessary to keep hammering a point home over and over and over and over and over with even more aggressive and pointlessly antagonistic tones after you said your piece, though. Those who wrote reviews or commented on it on the pod or whatever (ps thank you, loving the new site engagement and Jay's happiness makes me happi), that makes sense, you will obviously have to address it if you're reviewing something, but it doesn't mean you have to try and escalate the situation, especially if your mindset towards the other side is "own it and move on" when you're not willing to move on yourself. I'd understand if people were trying to sweep it under the rug or ignore it or whatever, but Jay has already said it's been acknowledged and handled, etc. If you are someone who isn't happy with how Jay is handling it and thinks there should be far more extreme measures taken, please go nuts, but please try and be a problem solver in that case and propose some solutions you think would be fair instead of adding fuel to the flames. For me, I think MOST of the unnecessary bullshit has come in Discord, which Belle doesn't even see (unless Ashley is sending it to her), which makes her replies in here even more confusing as to why she's gotta act like that at all, especially towards two people who probably were the least hypercritical of all. I get being upset that you feel someone is being hounded or ganged up on in an overboard way. I feel that a little bit too, but replying like that is super weak. It makes it seem like you believe there was nothing done wrong in the first place, which there absolutely was. Nobody's perfect, we all got our moments so hopefully everyone can just shake it out their system and *actually* move on. Sort of a sidebar, but this kind of thing always leads to it in one way or another. Whenever there's a conflict like this it always turns into smug bullshit where folks are dropping blanket statements about the entire fed or an entire section or whatever. Shit like "har nobody can take my excellent and constructive criticism because they don't wanna be spoken to like children" is always a favorite or "nah kids these days just wanna glaze" or "oh anytime there's stakes involved everyone will cheese it's just the natural order". It's goofy. It almost never has any basis in reality as a macro statement and reduces a complex, varied group if individuals into some shitty box. It's shit that guys like Dane or Dennis would say about us once they were ousted, shouldn't be something we're putting on each other as a way to somehow seem better than. As I said before Dan and others that do this DO have very real and productive points hidden inside to find, but trying to paint everyone a certain way or act like stuff is rampant because one thing happened recently never really sits well with me. Some folks just love to fight online and stir it up to kill time, though nobody needs to be childishly shooting on people on either end or making dumb blanket statements because they're upset at one individual. Everyone's got a dumb opinion but this one belongs to me. We can all do better. Thanks again to everyone for their comments on the shows and HUGE shout out to Kent and Dan for the amazing work they did on the RIOT/TURMOIL/AMBITION arenas in 2K24. We're fast approaching a new season and the efforts being made are hyping me up. ✌️

Have to agree with Jimbo. I'd argue it was the best show of the year TV wise. Just a complete package that didn't overstay. Everything lined up. I've been very impressed with the storytelling leading into AH2 & Anny being right around the corner. If this is just a result of folks not being sure how to build multiple angles at once, you could have fooled me because it has been great. Short notes from me - the matches kicked huge ass here. Sue vs AJM, Telos vs Blacksmith and the MEATTACULAR Derek vs RyVaughn. Very few FPR issues on this show. DNS' presence is settling into a nice middleground and I did enjoy the tag match, it was just sandwiched between so many hits. Anyone that was in the VP knows how on edge I was the entire OWEN/Sheldon segment. That motherfucker LIAM continues to lure me into a false sense of "oh okay it's over now" before knocking a homerun out the park with this stories. From his return to fight Aries to this, it just makes too much sense. RP Wise, I was worried this one would lack but man was I wrong. Agreed with Jim that the Grit n Glory dynamic has long been one of my favorites and I'm glad they're getting their big moment. That combined with Boulet and C-Note, Empress returning in a hilarious segment, Kingu's bullshit (loved the manga presentation), Cody getting involved more deeply, and Aries championship being taken in RP formats, these aren't small things and it warms my cold black heart to see this medium being used just as importantly as the video format. I wanted to do a full show review and have been feeling bad I didn't get around to it (didn't even get to read the show til Monday), but we're all doing our best. Jim's a treasure we don't deserve. Keep up the good work, bitches. Big things continuing to pop.

November 30th, 2023 | OCWFed.com As announced earlier today on her Instagram account, the World Women's Wrestling champion, who has proclaimed herself as THE World Champion in OCW, will be hosting a live, in-ring edition of her newest recurring segment, "America's Next Top Challenger" this week on Turmoil 307. After a series of tense encounters with Marisa Welch-Mac in the Fall, Deborah began her search for the next number 1 contender a few weeks ago, sitting ringside for various women's matches throughout the evening. Afterwards, she would "critique" her opponents in a backstage segment, often being overly critical of her opponents non-wrestling characteristics. It seems the show will be moving to the inside of the ring, as Deborah confirmed earlier this afternoon. "It's official babes! The greatest segment in the history of this women's division is evolving! I will see you all LIVE in-ring this Friday for a breakdown of Susie Q and that weird karate girl! " Surely, the locker room has not been very thrilled about Deborah's comments over the last number of weeks, though no challenger has yet to be confirmed for OCWFed's upcoming Charity Spectacular event, Animol House 2 - or the Anniversary 19 show in January. Time will tell who will emerge victorious between the emerging Amy Jade Miller and Sue Plex, who is looking to fight back into the championship picture after coming up short this past Summer. Tune in live, this Friday night at 7PM ET for this and much more on Turmoil 307 as we head towards Animol House 2 on December 16th! It all happens on twitch.tv/ocwfed.

Last week, on what turned out to be a very entertaining Halloween-themed episode of OCW Turmoil, the show ended with one of OCW's brightest stars sadly announcing his retirement from professional wrestling. Though Rust Cohle did not use that specific word, he gave an emotional speech at the end of the night, thanking all of his friends and enemies alike. The Halloween Edition of Turmoil concluded with Rust's victory lap being interrupted by a man he named in his list of greatest rivals, Harvey Hamilton Ocean, who caught the French Phenom with a Riptide Superkick to the dismay of the Brooklyn crowd. H2O has not commented on the situation, but there are plenty of reasons why he would still be harboring resentment. It was Summercide 2020 that saw Harvey's then-longest OCW Championship reign come to an end at the hands of Rust Cohle. Cohle was also responsible for ending H2O's latest championship reign at the 18th Anniversary show earlier this year. Many online believe this "speech" was a setup for something to come down the road, but at least at this point, it is not clear if H2O's attack was a "sendoff" for the Frenchblade, or whether he knew it was coming at all. Cohle has not commented on the situation as of publish date. Over the last 6 years, Rust Cohle has long been a thorn in H2O's side, so his motivation to ruin his touching retirement is not without reason. However, H2O made waves breaking away from Kasstianity earlier this year and forming "The Perfect Storm" with his brother - and Rust Cohle's former tag team partner - Ijitu Quartz. Quartz and Harvey Ocean have been near inseparable since Wrestlution 17 and have made their intentions to become tag team champions very public, a fact that caused many OCW fans in attendance to notice Quartz was nowhere to be found at Turmoil following the loss to the Believers at OCW Hard Target. While talent does occasionally take time off after major shows, seeing H2O end the show the way he did without his brother has raised additional questions, questions we may have received more answers to after the cameras turned off. In a clip that has since widely circulated social media, a small group of fans awaiting their favorite OCW wrestlers noticed a loud spat from the usual exit area of Barclay's Arena. In the recording of the incident, the shouting eventually spills out of the exit as H2O and Ijitu Quartz were seen verbally sparring one another regarding H2O's involvement in the Rust Cohle Segment. More than one source close to WhereCulture inside OCW have said they believe that the Perfect Storm had other plans on this edition of Turmoil, but that Harvey "called an audible", at the last minute, opting to instead cut the planned Perfect Storm promo segment. Quartz was clearly unhappy with this situation and decided to stay in the back. Whether the former member of CQC refused to attack Rust Cohle because of the two's past relationship or because he was simply frustrated at his brother going into business for himself, Quartz' frustration with his brother is very clear in the viral clip. The clip does stop before the incident concluded, but witnesses say Quartz continued to shout "This shit is bigger than you, you don't make the rules." before storming away, presumably to leave the arena without his brother, who re-entered the arena shortly after the disagreement, still in his wrestling gear. ---------------------------------------------------------- Both men are advertised together on the upcoming RIOT show on November 3rd on Twitch.tv/OCWFed, which will also include a North American Championship rematch between Viktor Karmine and Paul Boulet, as well as a blockbuster main event between B17 and Aries. It remains to be seen whether we will get any answers from H2O or Ijitu Quartz regarding the incident, or if it will simply be swept under the rug. For more OCWFed coverage, be sure to subscribe to WhereCulture Prime for all the latest news.

This morning, a social media ad was published on the official OCWFed accounts promoting this Friday's upcoming edition of RIOT! The final edition of OCW television before Hard Target will see the returning El Parca team with his former championship partner Mark Reese as Lucha Country reunites to face Anthony Martin and KC Barrett. We will also see Belle in action against the debuting Hifumi Mayoshi and B17 will be in action against rookie sensation Alexander Bolek. Among those matches, we've also learned that Perfect Storm will announce the stipulation for their tag team match against The Believers at Hard Target. This announcement comes on the heels of Perfect Storm's "victory" in the Pick Your Poison challenge last week on Turmoil, where Perfect Storm picked up a victory over Christian Garcia & Sheldon Tremblay, whereas the Believers failed to overcome the odds against DNS in a 3-on-2 handicap match. Due to the agreement, this means that Perfect Storm can choose whatever match type they want. It seems we will learn what that stipulation is this Friday on RIOT. Chris Greene shocked the OCW fanbase after his return to assist his former tag team partner Joe Deaver at Summercide 2023. While Perfect Storm has remained undefeated in tag team action since Quartz and H2O united back at Wrestlution 17, Chris Greene and Joe Deaver have been two of the only men in the locker room who have gotten one up on them, with Greene and Deaver sending the two running at Summercide. It remains to be seen what kind of match Perfect Storm has cooked up, but you can find that out and be a part of a spectacular go-home card Friday, October 13th on twitch.tv/ocwfed. Be sure to join us on October 21st on twitch.tv/ocwfed for OCW Hard Target.

Though I will still read as I do every week, there will be no 'Werdz' this week. Nobody watches it anyways. I see the stats on YT. It's not a complaint. I tried something and like most things in life, it ended up not being worth the effort. Not to say it's gone, just to say it's not happening this week. Thanks to those who were interested. Thanks to those who were not. You both hold value. From the stream, I loved the Harper/Belle match, Belle's natural progression in her style was jarring considering she's been gone four years, felt like she fell back in with no problem. The two women really battled, being stubborn with their fighting styles and forcing interesting interactions. Iceman promos continue to be unbelievably hype. I don't think I'm being erratic by saying he'd fire me up even as an actual wrestler. Marisa and Belle being chased by Val was very entertaining and separated the spookiness from the parrallel House of Faith stuff going on at the same time. Loved Sue's promo early in the show. Jamie does better with IC dialogue than most. The entire Empress arc was genius from start to finish. Most importantly over anything else, it was super entertaining and fun. The slow introduction of the security guy at the start to making him feel like someone I should care about by the end was well done. Empress getting stuck also works for the story. The ending of Heather as her driver is nothing but a pure example of why Empress is one of the best OCW has ever had. The injokes about the main event stuff, this is stuff you don't get unless you have someone with means, creativity, and geniune interest in OCW. Empress is IT. She's gotten all her flowers already and I'm just giving her more, so I'll even it out by telling her she can fuck herself. Mad Dawg vs John Carter was awesome as well, the finish with Samsin was so creative and entertaining. "Creative and entertaining" could be the tagline for the entire show. Shout out to the universe for continuing to sabotage Deborah/Debbie D segments. At this point it's not a coincidence, it's just fate. That said, I look forward to which of those 5 cunts show up to fight. I love the AJM/Dragana pairing so much. The style fits AJM so well and I'm here for it. Solid stuff from JynX and DNS as a whole. Hard to argue or compare their presence thus far. I loved Bash's presence after the match too, showing some in-ring stuff! The main event was amazing chaos as I wanted it to be. I often want to take risks like this when booking Turmoil but are either turned away by the other staff members or turn myself away not wanting to push that kind of pressure onto other people. I appreciate those involved making this super fun. I saw the 8.5 minute timestamp when Jay and I went to call it and was worried, but it was worth it despite a short length. Just awesome and didn't betray anything anyone was doing. The final segment had me captivated more than any non-match finale I can think of in recent memory. Aries made an absolute garbage decision at Lution to come back from the dead but the way he's taken it all on the chin and not only stuck around, but KILLED it as a storyteller deserves so much credit. I still want to watch him be set on fire, but even in the Sheldon story I was all in. The Colby stuff to close the segment and my emotions flying around knowing it's not actually Colby (or thinking it's not?) either way. Captivating is the word I want to use. There are worse scenarios for OCW than someone who comes in and puts in this amount of effort and work into making their mistake into a world-title caliber story. Not really sure I give a fuck about your petty "OH BUT HE UPSET ME IN 2009" nonsense. Lou's killing it and is good for OCW. That's what matters the most. I look forward to reading the werds this weekend. Thanks

A quiet room slowly fades into view. Nothing but the faint sound of a lightbulb persists. After a few moments, the sound of a door slowly opening provides an escape from the white noise holding firm over the room. A tall figure enters, just out of camera shot. A single, very long sigh is heard as the view focuses on the surrounding area. Common niceties are sprinkled throughout the room. Snacks, bottled water, the usual suspects you would expect to find. The figure rolls an office chair towards him and plants himself dead center on the dark foam. He leans back in the chair, his upper body still obscured. ???: Well, that's ironic. The view continues to pan around the room, as the empty energy seems to grow with the presence of the figure. ???: Nothing stops for us, we can't stop for nothing. A few ominous moments pass in the empty room. After a while, the figure leans forward, the view capturing the point of his elbows resting carefully on his knees. ???: Day after day. Week after week. ???: A broken system. A fruitless venture for justice and equality. ???: Tragedy in a world that promises hope. ???: Oppression in a world that asks for optimism. ???: Why do we do this? What is this society we've built for ourselves? ???: Thousands of years of culture, structure, innovation... ???: And this is the best we can do? The pointed elbows slowly lift from the knees of the figure. They posture forward, knees unbent and feet planted square on the concrete below. ???: Why should I be tasked with spinning this unfair, patronizing, destructive wheel... When I never asked to be born in the first place? ???: For what? The still form of the figure rests in the empty room. The electric static sound of the bulb above begins to radiate throughout the room, almost as a counter to the unending silence that follows the last question. After what feels like an eternity spent in a rare moment of peace, the figure speaks again. ???: How valuable is happiness when it's bookended by chaos and sadness? ???: Do these connections hold real value or are they just anchors we create that hold us back from the escape we want? ???: Are we only here to just "get by" until the reaper comes? ???: Does any of this really mean anything? Suddenly, a notification sound pops up. The view pans slightly to the left to see the office chair positioned near a large computer desk. A flashing orange notification finds a way to glare bright, as the figure turns the chair with his feet. ???: Ah, well... ???: Back to the action. The figure pushes his long legs out and grips his shoes into the concrete below, pulling himself forward in the chair in front of the computer desk as we fade to black.

Oh hey, I'm back. You guys are great. These shows get longer and longer every week, but when our best are begging for activity and presence and effort, when we have a full roster doing that, it's gonna make our shows huge sometimes... and tbh, the Summercide go-home deserves it. Onto the show. DNS claiming Drago can't fine them bc they pearl harbored Jim on private property stooges lmao Harper ambiguity is interesting, liking the effort to get a new character over. Same for Hifumi. Admittedly tough as a booker to deal with this situation, but all we ask is for effort and by god we're getting it. I'm loving both characters as rookies finding their way right now. Chey gets it. (Also jesus they took no liberties with the taxi driver lmao) was glad to see Alyssa back this week, the space between things is- there, but I thought it faded away until I saw this. Alyssa did well tapping into the dissention in the family loved the situation for parca and boulet, parca playing up to the loner vs altruism mentality that Karmine and Blouet have talked about Wondering if this patient for Dr Langley is the same as the masked man he met with last week RE Sheldon? Bash is improving week by week, Shouts to JynX and Mad Dawg too here. Bash is so good at scene setting. Bash crafting his character so well, but I can't help but to read more of these and go "Okay... What's next for BASH then?". The promos are really well done and really do a great job at establishing who BASH is, but without any real resolution to this Camp Liberty thing so far - and yes I am being impatient - I want to see some real forward momentum here. I think the time for these establishing promos is waning, we need some development! The overarching DNS stuff helps a LOT to keep them all relevant. BASH does best what most rookie factions never do, continuing to stay front facing and relevant and CONNECTED. there's never a time where we don't associate them with one another. I just want some more directed interaction with BASH in feuds and such. I want Camp Liberty resolutions! I love Dragana Cesar, between 301 and RIOT 608, the morally and empathetic methods Dragana is trying to use to train continues to make my heart cry. Sheldon has foregone assumptions of alignment and is really going for it in this story, which say what you will about Kasstianity and his associates, but for this story, there's no other way to be than this valiant heroic figure. He's leaning into it well without necessarily abandoning his loyalty to the church. EMP/Spider/Dupree and their office stuff, with everything Drago is doing with the roster, it remains a consistent highpoint for me week after week. It's P3 bullshit at it's finest. Coupling absurd unrealistic cartoon behavior with shit you can actually emotionally invest in (which we do as we have seen), can't say enough. I love it so much. Otherwise, Jay's new production habit of airing these go-home segments then putting the animation of the PPV match after is a CHEFS KISS. It goes to show how we're all a well oiled machine, we know big go home segments are coming (as Wrex and Doc had in werds format, just like Wrex did for lution, amazing show of build in text & video combined.) Video wise to recap my shrieking in VP: I loved the handicap match, what a shock how entertaining that ended up being. A little questionable about Marisa and FloJo opting for a bikini contest given how soon we just had that happen, but I trust Marisa and Flo to make it entertaining. Segment of the night, maybe of the year so far was the tag team contract signing, motherfuck when those two get in their bag there is nobody more entertaining. They just get it, they understand comedic timing and what we wanna see. Might not be best for casual viewers. but honestly, I do not give a shit. Claudio's several commercials paying off to us learning they went broke was amazing. B17 and Rust is a match I didn't know I wanted, but they're fortunate to live off a dream match billing, because this build left a lot to be desired. That said, these are the reasons you build up this kind of equity, so you can take it a little easier, + you always need some emotional nuetral points in shows to even things out. The Aisu v Aisu thing was actually surprising, Bolek was not on m ybingo card. AJM rules, I can see her shooting up the card super quick. I cant wait for Tre vs Iceman, they actually surprised me with the level of nuance in this segment. Tony and Pugh sells itself, but they did a great job selling it anyways. Pugh doing the resiliant babyface thing was very weird for me, but given his standing and time between his last heinous action, it works. Pught's Turmoi l301 promo really sold me on this fact. I hope/wish Danny Watts cared about OCW because he's good enough to do cool shit as a character and handler. Appreciate Elliot in this, it's still been fun to watch even with the ? around his partner. The main event kicked so much ass. Kent said it in chat "Most hated vs most loved" and it was felt here. Jay's confusion watching Aries superkick was great, Aries ability to play right into the things he's hated most for somehow makes him more endearing, intentional or not, I respect the hell out of a man who can take as much shit as he took - while it was 100% deserverd and he made the wrong call, twice - to not just take it in stride but use it as a weapon to entertain me, I can't get mad at that. They had just enough time to turn me around on Sheldon and Aries and I think I'm here for it.... As long as Sheldon wins. Thanks yall! Comment! Cmon! you don't need to do all this! Just 8 seconds. OCW Numba won. We all know that. Let's make sure everyone else here does.

Did anyone order some werdz this morning? By gods, what a thicc show. So many quality words. Drago's escapades continue to pop me. I loved all the Kass at the pool shit. Nice work also from Deaver, Luis and Parca. Not our best show video wise, a couple small mistakes added up, but I really appreciated Sammuel Omen's performance, did not expect to have a chance to come back in that one. Also the main event ruled. What a way to debut that Pahlka fella. Wrex recreating the Lution spot to win with the added part of Bingo's hand on the ropes was super entertaining. ONWARDS TO SUMMERCIDE

Another entertaining Ambition. All the matches were enjoyable and the trend of newbies knowing their FPR/how to do matches continues. (For the most part, make sure we're not crappling, even on longer reversals. Don't just sprint away when you get reversed or clock them before they can follow up) Nice to see words from JynX and the newcomer Amy Jade Miller, who apparently seems to be connected to Kareem already! Paul Harris calling JynX a "chucklefuck" popped me huge. Show never drags, short and sweet, people keeping their segments within reason. Loved the cameo from Antonio Everrett considering Pugh's influence on Ambition. The whole samsin/DNS/worm escapade at the end was incredible. Shouts to them for putting in the extra layer of BASH controlling Samsin from the stage, even when he was getting beaten down. The upgrade legit made me think it was going to be The Worm's night for a moment, but Devon Flash won't be outdone, he continues to put on good matches even when surprised by the opponent (which has happened twice now) Only critique on the match was Devon not going for the throat and dicking around waiting for a stun/perfect moment. I get being patient and waiting for that moment if you only have 1 fin left or if it's early on in the match or if the meter is already very present... but sometimes you just gotta GO FOR IT, use that element of surprise. Part of me wanted him to pay for it when Sam hit his fin, but Devon refuses to die and made it work either way. That's why he's bolting up the ranks. Keep up the good work, folks

Previously recorded after RIOT 607 went off the air. Sitting in an overly lavish chair is the young lion who was sent crashing through a table earlier in the night. He stretches his neck, clearly still feeling the effects. The camera pans from him to the other side of an equally lavish desk. Sitting in the chair is the General Manager of OCW, Empress. Standing behind her with his hands clasped together is an unimpressed looking Spider Matsumoto. EMP: So… What’s your problem? Who even are you? The Young wrestler in training raises his hand to speak, but is interrupted by the door flying open behind him. He turns as a look of sheer terror falls over his face. The man who caused the pain he is in stands over him and the trainer. Ijitu Quartz looks down at him, still clearly frustrated. A smile slowly wipes across the face of one half of The Perfect Storm. He peers up from the young man to look across at Empress and especially his former advisor Ryu Matsumoto. Quartz slowly removes his PRISTINE SUNGLASSES. Quartz: Empress! Spider! EMP: Well hello, there! You aren’t the beef cake I ordered but mama likey. What brings you to my office today? Quartz: I have a very specific request. A very special request that only my favorite two general managers can make. EMP: You’re too kind! And too correct! We are the best, most unbiased options. I’m sure that ole sailor Drago wasn’t willing to hear you out about this request? EMP: Where are our manners, Spider?! Please, have a seat! The terrified young boy grows confused and raises his hand to speak once more, but is swiftly snatched up, along with the office chair he’s seated in, and hurled towards the door. He crashes awkwardly and rolls out of the door as Quartz steps to the position the chair was located before. Quartz: Drago is a madman. He’s still holding a grudge against me after I ended his tag team dreams at Devil’s Night 5 years ago. Quartz: He’s got it out for me. Surely two reasonable, attractive, brilliant minds can see where I’m coming from here. The longest reigning OCW World Champion in history slowly leans down to the desk below and rests his palms on it as he smiles back at Empress. Quartz: Joe Deaver. I want him hand delivered to me. I have been victimized and targeted by that ingrate on your show. You know that better than most, don’t you? I trust you both will make this right. EMP: Hmmm… This is an interesting proposition. If you’ll excuse us for just a moment… Empress spins around in her chair as Spider leans in and the two huddle, loudly whispering to one another. RYU: Why are we whispering like this? I think it's pretty obvious that we stick it to Drago. EMP: I thought it would make us look more dramatic. RYU: You’re right. Great call. This is why you’re the best. EMP: I really am, aren’t I? The two GMs pop out of the huddle and refocus. EMP nods to Quartz. EMP: After careful deliberation, I think we can arrange something. You already have a match on Turmoil, so how about this… EMP: On RIOT 608, 8 days before Summercide, we’ll give you Joe Deaver. Quartz pushes off of the desk and lets out an exhale. EMP: ...And you know what? Since you asked so nicely, I’m going to make that match No Holds Barred. Ijitu Quartz tilts his head and smiles at Empress, putting his hands on his hips. Quartz: You always know how to cheer me up. Empress lowers her gaze and bites her lower lip. EMP: You keep walking around here looking like that. I’ll give you more than just some cheering up. A quick shake of the brow is accompanied by Quartz flexing his heavies before once again flashing a quick look over to Spider, who smirks back and throws up a double thumbs up. Ijitu turns and opens the door, seeing the young boy still on the other side, writhing in pain. Quartz steps over the downed prospect who reaches out to EMP as Quartz slams the door behind him.

We've got WERDZ! Also a few other opinions that I posted in Discord while the site was down: I was initially a little tentative on the four way because it was way longer than most modern OCW matches, but I was thrilled to see the response and I had a lot of fun on rewatch. Just goes to show you that your direct memory/involvement aren't very important bc you're too close to the action. Aries 2 promos this week ruled. He's a low key great writer. One of the better at utilizing the Morrison Method in an effective way Drago/Emp/Dupree/Spider are continually a highlight for me Tag division is on fire, everyone doing so much to make this shit seem important and I love that None of the teams showcased ont he show this week are "hi we're here and we're a team now" they've all done so much to establish themselves as a team. If I HAD TO find a way to critique the show, I can only really think of two things Now that our roster and more importantly - our roster ofpeople who really #DoTheWork - is expanding and we have the greatest collection of talent we've ever had, it might be time for us to try and slow down and resist making 2-4 RPs per week on a single character. I acknowledge I am one of the heaviest offenders of this (and had 4 segments with Quartz on this show) I acknowledge Summercide is only 3 weeks away and we're in high gear to tell our stories in the meantime. I wish I could have seen some more from certain people, but we had so much already it wasn't noticeable, and sometimes people being gone/roster rotation is the best piece to keep things fresh Considering our production, roster size, effort, and general reach, it's not even a controversial statement in my mind to say current day OCW is the best it's ever been. The Ospreay thing did not bother me lol. Colin's always been wacky and the character himself never really (imo) talked about the actual wrestler or referenced him as such, it was classic colin wackiness. Overdone it would be a little much, but it was exactly that wink and nod to the viewer rather than an in-canon mention, so I'm absolutely not going to compare it to someone coming in saying "I was 3x WWE Champion." Totally get if others feel differently, but it didn't negatively register with me on first viewing, which is usually my own personal bar for what's "too far".
