OCWFed.com has confirmed that news that came earlier this week are true. Originally reported by Adam Adamson of WhereCulture Wrestling, OCW Star known as "Cort Marshall", whose real name is also Cort Marshall, has been served a notice to appear in court next Friday. Marshall, who reportedly called the Dillinger Enterprises assistant that served the notice a "dickless weasel", declined to comment on the summons after we called his Nokia 3310. Dennis Dillinger, who returned to OCW this past June, has been handling business matters of Dane Xavier, who himself returned to OCW after requesting a full buyout from his Ring of Chaos contract. It is unknown exactly what Dillinger Enterprises is seeking in the civil suit, but it is thought to be a result of the attack levied on Dillinger in the ring last Friday on Turmoil after Dillinger attempted to pay Marshall off. Time will tell how this will affect Cort Marshall's availability for the remainder of the Summer within OCW.

ULTRA Riot 572: Consequences of Wrestlution

No, that's one of those things that is unavoidable and is fine. -
ULTRA Riot 572: Consequences of Wrestlution
Quartz replied to Mr.Sensation's topic in The Daily Suplex
Lots have been said already (Thank you!) AC vs Owen was fun for what it was. I am not the biggest fan of the theme, I feel it could have a bit more OOMPH. I might do some digging there. Owen had a good rookie showing, wish we could have seen more offense, but we know he can take a punch and reverse when it matters. Good FPR, good engage, just needs to lock down spacing and known when to initiate. Cobra's been overlooked and disrespected all season and the VP was a clear example of that. Now let's see if he takes the momentum into a program or continues to sit on his hands. H2O with an actual backstory to his new appearance. Then he unleashes the most cringe freestyle in OCW history. I'm sure if it was anyone else, I'd praise it, but Harvey specifically continues to be the segment equivalent of HPV, so there you have it. I like this introduction to Alyssa Marceaux, going through tryouts and such before maybe eventually hitting the ring. I am not sure what to take away from the Iceman/Mantis segment. I've already stated the ship has sailed on HMR for me, so I just await whatever he dedicates his energy into and at least it's a program. Iceman whooping his dumbass as soon as his long entrance was ending was hilarious, but I have to wait to see what it means. The basketball game was a tad long, but definitely had some funny spots in it. A unique way to build a match for sure. It absolutely pales in comparison to the segment later in the night. Bax and McIntyre doing OCW right! Taking a booking and turning it into something! Their match was so-so, lots of running and I'm definitely not sold on Hunter's very "online quick play" moveset just yet, but always room for improvement (and in Bax's case, shaking off the rust) and the post segment was ezpz classic wrassling. Hopefully it keeps up. Also, NO WWE LOGO TITANTRONS. If you have a custom tron, you need to record your own entrance and send it to whomever is putting the match together. If you're not, you need to turn the tron off in entrance settings. Tibby's "Hold your Matteos" popped me. Short and sweet and set up for the amazing Rust/Caine Pride title callout later in the night. Marisa went through a fucking journey tonight. Starting with a segment where she's clearly a proud, unapologetic babyface against Claudio, which I thought was great, going into that horrific and unexplained beatdown of Valkyrie. She explains later that this is due to people getting put in front of her. Probably not valid in reality, but that's what makes heels great, whether it's real or not, Marisa believes it and that's where great heels are born. Asher seems to be going right along for the evil ride with her, so that's where we're at at least for now. With QC Connect (maybe?) out of the picture, how is this going to affect Asher or what she does next? I appreciate the continuity of Harvey's 2nd promo. I feel the first one could have been saved for Turmoil, but this one is the one. Explanations for every action he's taking and world connecting is always good. Why he's taking shots at Nate, I can't answer, he already got his ass whooped at R2G, but time will tell. The dream sequence into the final part of the in-ring promo calling out Tre for a match at CNSQ was *chefs kiss*. Colin continues to be the high king of rookies. @Spider, you know I have a TV right? What exactly are you doing sucking up to le pride champion? -_- Telos and Anderson was a great reintroduction for Telos, but a real step backwards for Anderson, who had 2 pretty solid outings prior to this. Pins are resets kid, you can't hit diving moves after a pin. Other than that, was happy to see Telos back, who needs to learn FPR himself, forfeiting a ton of opportunities to follow up. This was a different version of AC/OWEN to me, but the SUDDEN DEATH sig pop was a lot of fun. Also, (and I'm not there yet if it's on this show) but I think it's about time I see some character development/promos from Nathaniel. You won't keep getting bookings if you're just hanging around, our roster is too stacked to have space like that. DOC breaking all of our hearts. The OCW tradition of getting injured or taking time off after a major PPV loss has taken one of my favorite boyz. OOC I understand he's got big tings going on IRL that are actually worth celebrating, and once he settles in, the pop when Audacity plays again is going to be monstrous. See you soon, lad. Kota Rain's segment read immediately like a combination of Quartz and Terra's gimmicks. I'm gonna have to brother someone backstage. More time should help her stand out. OWEN and Fraser team??? I don't hate it. Two no-nonsense men slapping beef. Even if it's not, it's a great introduction feud for big OWEN. Mantis' promo doesn't lean in any direction, in terms of alignment. That's the first thing I'd get locked down before we get to the meat and potatoes of this feud. The 6 man tag had some solid action, moreso in the first half than the second, but I didn't mind the length. As long it's not an every week thing. This did it's job and was fun to see the Wolves together as one in the ring. Couple notes. Why doesn't Tre have his title? There are 2 other instances where people don't have their title on the show and it's sensible why they don't, they're there to immediately jump into action and the game doesn't have any way to logically have them put it somewhere, but this one makes 0 sense. During a match entrance, put your title on. Ashley lives and her managing days are not behind her! I still miss Ashley as an in-ring competitor, but as long as she's around, OCW is better for it. HOLY SHIT TOBIN FROST IS BACK!!!! I know this was probably lost on most of you who don't know your history. All I can say is respect the pop the veterans gave it and maybe ask a few questions of the OGs in chat. Tobin Frost (as you saw in the match) is nobody to fucks with. Of course he immediately stakes his claim to one of the world titles. Ain't gon' be me, bitch! Back of the line! Parker vs Kass - MOTN, no question, not even close. The chemistry, the tit for tat, the back and forth. All of it was excellent. Elliot has these matches where he is chaotic and all over the place and can't find his feet, then he has these matches where he tears the house down. Great stuff and Elliot gained a TON from this one. even from an IC perspective, pinning another former world champion clean was huge. Then he had to go and ruin it by joining up with TWC. I liked the turn and reveal, and I don't hate the combination of Kass/TWC if that's where this is going. A couple of editing notes since I'm nitpicky about editing stuff. - Why didn't TY Sparks get any kind of entrance? Text motion should be SPECIFICALLY held for things you can't re-create using the in-game assets. Recording an entrance for TY and having him slide into the ring and maybe a trios celebration before the big turn from Elliott would have been way more impactful. I'm not even gonna get on whomever edited this. I just wish TY showed any level of Ambition and showed that he cared about the TV product once in a while. If you don't, well then you won't care about the seggy or what I'm saying here and that's fine, but just getting a 2 second text box for your entrance (and literally your only foray into a Supershow/PPV that you had 2 weeks to work on) is wack. I don't know where your head is at, but with all this inherent support for you (bc you're a good dude/kid) and Sparks himself (because he's got the look/tools to be a star), you really don't seem to be all that interested in anything but DMing and being a body for matches. I found that out first hand when I recruited you to work with Spider and I early this year. That's how I feel and I hope you prove me wrong, dude. Rant over. The La Mujera plan is very interesting. On one hand, I am a little disappointed that our cases are going to be gone before the new year, but on the other hand, already knowing who is going to be in the Summercide women's Main Event is exciting. You hold the gold, you got a French Killer waiting for you. Terra vs Blaine had the unfortunate duty of following up Kass/Elliot, but shit happens! I could tell VP was a bit winded after that absolute showcase. Nature of the beast, but just a shout out to Bingo for being a damn good opponent as always. This probably horrified him as it was very similar to the Night 1 ME of Lution lol. N A T U R E - R U L E S Emp being a heel and saying mean things about Terra. I know I'm involved here, but Emp's delivery and reasoning behind her going after Terra is effective. There should be backstory and reason behind everything you do and there's a very easy one to see here. For those that don't, Emp lays it out short and sweet. This should be fun. LOL the Dominion promo. Someone (Danny) forgot to fill in his lines and left a placeholder in there. That was accidentally hilarious. Danny continues to show his logical "young boy is angry!" attitude in the face of the calm and cool World Champion & Legend. This is a thread that's been going on for a while and it could turn into something. I have my eyes on Danny going forward as it pertains to Dominion. PRIDE TITLE MATCH NEXT WEEK BABY! Maxx never ceases to amaze me. This was under 2 minutes and did so much for me. I was thoroughly sports entertained. Throwing it back to his match with Jehst and explaining that he's going to do TV since he can't be on film. Such a great shitty heel explanation of a loss. Maxx plugs his match next week against CG and the Joshua Tucker appearance at the end got a huge pop from me! Maxx vs Joshua would be a BOMB pairing. Hopefully that wasn't just a cameo. PAPA REESE IS HERE! Even after what happened to him at Lution, he's dead set on standing up for his boy Mark. Garcia meets him in the parking lot, which did make me laugh because that's where he saw Dillinger and Parca earlier that night. Was he just there through the entire 3 hour show? That's commitment. THE REVEAL! Garcia was the one who dropped Papa Reese at Lution and he's back for seconds against the Papa. This was placed perfectly before the ME and looking back, it makes perfect sense. These rookies are angrier and angstier by the fucking minute. The MAAAAIN EVENT of the evening. I can't give this MOTN, but it has to be number 2 in a show with a fucking LIT 2nd half. Flippy shit all over the place. Parca going in reverse, getting more flippy and less technical the more heelish he gets. I am not one of those corny mfs who thinks you can't be a high flyer if you're a heel. Plenty of opportunities to be a shit bag while doing crazy shit. Good aggression here, nothing stood out that I disliked. The STORY of H2O winning the match but TED being distracted was such PERFECT heel work. Couldn't write that shit any better. If anyone didn't catch me on commentary, what an opportunity for a throwback for Harvey. Knowing he's fighting El Parca, he throws on move thief. For the uninitiated, Harvey used the "Trouble in Tijuana" when he was still a young lad in OCW. The ability to recognize the opportunity and take it was masterful. That wasn't enough due to turnbuckle shenanigans and Destino wins the day. The end scene was bananas, with Harvey actually getting beaten down, I expected him to get some shots in but no. Garcia full of rookie rage and moose piss takes him down with the Aztec Neck Check and DDE continues to grow. Money talks, motherfuckers. I literally stopped recording and had to put my last part in post because Salami interrupted the post scene. Love that he didn't lose sight on Harvey just because of his title match next week. Continuity all over the place! Even main roster WWE can't always commit to this level of long term storytelling overall. Love it! Overall: I mean fuck, the first half of the show, match-wise, was an introduction piece and rookie showcase, letting us get to know them. The second half is stacked with super over people and that helped the matches a lot. The aggression and FITE of KD/Tobin, the comeback and stubborness in Terra/Blaine, the fucking EXPERT level hybrid play of Elliot/Kass, and the great storytelling/development in H2O/Parca. That's how it's done people. I do have some production thoughts as well. - This show and Lution was a big deal so the pyro thing can be excused, but we now have to get back in line and dial it about 10 notches back. Let's all re-evaluate our entrances before Turmoil and make sure we're not overdoing it with the pyro. That obviously includes me, before anyone starts running their mouth. - Try to pace yourselves, I know OCW is the fucking bomb, but let's not blow our loads. Like I said above, this show was a special case because of the long break and big card, but let's try to avoid having 2-3+ RPs/segments on every show. Diminishing returns and it will wear you the fuck out. Be cordial and understand that your fellow OCWers should have time to shine. Let's spread the love. - ENGAGE, ENGAGE, ENGAGE. As a general rule of thumb, you should not be standing back in a corner or moving laterally waiting for your opponent to "whiff" their move EVERY FUCKING RESET. That's the most annoying thing ever, it's terrible to watch, and it'll piss off your opponent. Pausing your engage for a half second, or taking a small half step backwards here and there throughout a match is not what I mean, that's mixing things up and that's great for throwing your opponent off. Let's just make sure we look at our playstyle as a community and commit to having fun, aggressive, fast paced, non-video game matches. This doesn't mean run at your opp every single reset either. Just have fun with it, fellas. - WWE Logos have been cut mostly down, but a friendly reminder that they're not cool. As a recorder, you should never have those in. It takes only a few short moments to go into a CAWs entrance settings and turn them off. - Please turn off the HUD in entrances. It's minor, but when we can avoid the "Breakout" thing during entrances, or the game HUD in cutscenes, we should be doing it. If you play offline, that's cool, it just takes one click to turn it off and turn it back on. We all do it. - If you have editing questions, don't be afraid to ask. I'm not going to give you a fucking tutorial, but simple things I can try to lend a second pair of eyes to, especially if I know it'll help overall production week-to-week. Love you all. See you for Turmoil.- 19 replies

To reiterate what I said on the post pod - Shout out to Valk for an excellent story/feud. Emotion, physicality, history, etc. One of my favorite things I've ever done in OCW. Up there with CQC and my singles feud with Rusty.

Turmoil 266: PLUS ULTRA - The Go Home Show!
Quartz replied to Mr.Sensation's topic in The Daily Suplex
Still much to get done ahead of Lution but here's a couple things - It was always going to be hard to stand out on this show. Especially with Emp and Sensation's glorious return to physicality. Don't rest on the videos and think that's good enough, that Caine, Blacksmith contract signing is worth your time right now. One of the top rivalries over the last 3 years comes to a close. Signing the dotted line in blood is a sure fire way to sell tix. I want dipshit Cobra to vault from his lution season to a huge summer. Everyone fighting tooth and nail throughout backstage was heat, and somehow found a way not to step on each other's toes. Not going to lie, knowing what was coming in the ME. I was watching the Pride title segment like "PLEASE DONT POWERBOMB ON THE CAR. PLEASE DONT POWERBOMB ON THE CAR.". Everyone got their shit in, in a different way. The Bermuda Triangle has snuck up on us in terms of intriguing build. The ability for those guys to push so much wrasslin in there in such a short time is great. Like Maxx said, there isn't a damn match on the card that doesnt have SERIOUS meat on those bones. Love seeing Christian keep developing his character, which is more important than a win at this point. Very disappointed we haven't seen much of Hunter McIntyre at all recently, especially after the intriguing thing with John Carter at The Clash. Summer is time to make a name for yourself, rookies. Do it. DOC v WREX v SALAMI was a slapper like I knew it would be. Love all three of these weirdos and Salami's superior workrate continues to shine through, despite the loss. So last week I thought this diamond promo was just a thing for Lution but as most have pointed out, apparently it's some kind of return or person or something. We'll see where this goes. MAX AND JEHST YEEEEAAAAAAAH. Talk about two guys that have comedy chops but can make things serious when it matters. B17 in TV mode is always a gem to fight. I hope to have a rematch on a bigger stage in the future. also to reiterate what was said before, this is why we wanted to announce the FI matches early, to make every single thing that the 12 people are involved in mean that much more. Should be fun. Hope you all enjoy Lution, and send Jay your money... He's going to need it after Spider beats the shit out of him next weekend. -
Love that Jay yelled at everyone and show disc is back up. That's why he's the best. Quick thots - Despite the FPR breaks, I love watching VALcano progress in the ring, getting better with every match and the shock win! Sudden death RULES! Lot of momentum heading into Lution. Keep getting better every day (and lets see some more character work like we got on this show!) Speaking of character work, Salami has been killing it with this latest iteration of the Blacksmith feud. It's always a winner in my book and Caine shows you don't need fancy 100 element AE videos to get a point across and get our attention. Caine says it'll be a WRESTLING match, and remember, he beat DOC in one of those, so yeah. The last bout between these two? We'll see, but I'm excited for it. Real quick, VAL you don't need quotation marks around your text. The Morrison Method makes that a bit redundant. Just a recommendation! Gabriel ALSO looked better in his next match. Very fun to see. The Dominion summit was great, Tony definitely stood out amongst the rest of them, very intense and aggressive towards every party they're facing heading into Lution. Nate lobbing threats heading into Turmoil PLUS ULTRA?? :thinkingx3: Wrex and the new rookie getting physical in the back?! Love the ambition getting out there early. Will keep my eyes on these two, as currently they're separated. Universe building for a potential showdown down the road. Iceman is a treasure and needs to be protected. DING DING, FRENCHY. This might have been his best one yet. I was annoyed when he dropped Leo in favor of the Iceman, but he fits so much better in this role than he did the weird demon character. Call me crazy, but I might be rooting for him. If he wins the pride title, I might have to get a real life replica made and sent to him so that he can cut promos with it. Empress is slowly slipping in and out of reality. The food is affecting her mental state, and that's not great because she was already fucking insane. Empress saying they need to build a house within a house?! Oh no... Spider is completely justified as usual, but I love this side of Spider after the stacy bit that goes completely serious against Our Hero, laying it all down on the fucking table. Excellent 2 parter, if you have not read it, go read it. Kass again wasting his life away spending time with H2O. It's no wonder he's turned into the loser he is today. I love hoss fights and Wrex/Mark was that in spades. If that competitiveness was any indication of what we'll get in the bermuda triangle, I'm fucking IN. Elliott Parker with his own version of the math promo to try and build some hype for this FI match. This is the exact reason it's so great Tibby announced it early! Everything the 12 participants is in makes me care about those matches so much more. Parker back in full force and looking to become a 2 time FI case winner... Although, clearly he needs to read the fine print. We already signed an ironclad contract. Nobody can cash in on us. Spider already handled that with our legal team. Fuck off to the CCW picture. Caine and Parca with some more universe building and possibly showing an additionally unhinged El Parca? He was all over this show too. idk who made that diamonds are forever Lution promo, but it was fucking sick. FIRED UP FOR THE SHOW OF SHOWS. That's all I got. Suck my dick Champ out

I'll say what I said to Jay about this show - It wasn't up to OCW standards at all, but I know we'll fix that with just two shows left into Lution. It was carried by the segments, including Valk's amazing work on the breaking news shot, Mac's awesome promo, Colin's seed planting and universe building, Marisa, Kass' interactions with Cobra (very lol), and the continued jabs at Sesnation. I didn't notice initially, but this show was very FI heavy, which is not a bad thing, this Lution is going to have the craziest FI matches ever. Onward and upward, folks.

Couple notes while I'm here: - Colin's got it figured out, find a place to stand and people will shout at you about your title. - VAL doing a better job both with FPR and competitiveness in the Evelyn match - Marisa talking MAD shit to QC Connect. She has my full attention on this story, I just still have no idea where it's headed, which can be a good thing. - Danny getting spicy with Dominion, sewing those seeds of dissention perhaps? - Salami's going even more fucking insane than usual seeing Blacksmith everywhere he goes. - Nathanial has got the juice and unlike most rookies, doesn't seem to have much ethics/FPR problems. He NEARLY eeked out a win against Cort here, bright future for the kid if he can put the rest of it together - Big ole introductory promo from Christian Garcia, love to see it from new booty, debut next week to see what he can do in the ring - Tre showing where his intentions lie by immediately shifting his attention to Colin instead of Danny now that he has the title - John did what he could, but there's a reason they call Tony the new Gate Keeper now. Solid match - Empress gets bribed, but something tells me that sh'es just gonna run off with the ice cream truck and forget about the deal... - Say what you want about Marisa, but she gets physical more than most in OCW. The first attack was all Flojo, the last was all Marisa, this one split a little better as we plunge towards this 1v1. - Don't compare me to Tyranny, Nate. I'll fucking show you the meaning of Tyranny. - Blacksmith gets all the way through a promo without being cut off, has lots to say. Go off kid - Colin vs DOC was AWESOME. Match of the night. - El Parca once again showing signs of self-doubt while out of the presence of Mark Reese. - This side venture of TLB with Mantis is intriguing if nothing else. I'm not sure if this is going to a mentor/student role or what. Also there is a LOT of swearing in these promos. I could do without that, just makes it feel like you're trying to force the edginess. - Maxx Edwards is a gem. That Video Killed the Radio Star segment was lit as fuck. I can't wait for this match. - So it appears the alliance to end Quartzamania was just a 1 week show as the friendship between Tony and B17 is breaking down in front of us. Strong words from both men, though I'd surprisingly have to give the promo off edge to B17 in a rare upset. - FI HANDOUTS! YOU LOVE TO SEE IT! PS Please don't fuck us with lag/connectivity issues 2K19. We'd love to have 6 people in each ladder match. - I've been in a lot of tag matches in my time in OCW, but the main event was one of the most fun I've ever been in. Just chemistry abound and excellent story focus. Shoulda tagged out, coulda tagged out, but when you can go for the kill, you go for the kill. End scene was chaos and fun to put together, hope others enjoyed. OCW is a unique competitive creative outlet. That said, it's most fun when everyone is invested. I'm not asking you to LOVE everything that happens on the show, but at least fucking watch it. Just a friendly reminder that this is not a place to meme, giggle, play DMs and fuck off. Let's all remember we're on the road to lution. Love you! muah

HA. Beat you to it, Emp. (I swear if she posts while I'm writing this...) People should post more. I am all for trashing the forum, as it's not the mid 2000s and Discord convo adds a lot, but lets see some feedback in here. Doesn't have to be a full-on review. Anyways, here's a full review. - Ah yes, Locke and Key's are always fun. Man, our rookie crop is so great. This, as most Locke and Key segments are, was pretty long, but not in the bad way. A lot of character stuff between the two here and the brilliance of this is that it might be a throwaway bit for now, but the seeds are being planted for a future collision. Colin's fully leaned into the shenanigans for a few months now and I love it. P3 better watch out. Fatal Four Way - Just some good old fashion mid-card chaos. DEREK is a good egg, but fell off a bit with the restructuring(?) of UAE, but I'm still into the general aesthetic of the bruiser. Somehow Asher catapulted himself into my heart with this Marisa story (we'll get to it later). Slimy ass John Carter was the right pick to win here, and the multiman shenanigans means nobody had to really take that much of an L. Interesting to see Chris' palling up to John to avoid his wrath... Which we will see end of the show. Decent match, didn't overstay it's welcome. - Jordan Trance looking for an FI handout, but will he be one of the lucky ones?? - B17 debuting a new look to the CCW title. I don't mind it inherently, but it comes very close to the redesign of the Pride title. I prefer titles to stick to their style instead of jumping around... but B has had it for an entire year now so I can live with this. It's not like some new guy won it and changed it immediately. Very interesting to hear B17 was given an opportunity to join Dominion and refused. That complicates things for Lution and tonight's ME. Quartz hates Nate so much he's going to stick with that weirdo B17. Work on the video text was good, easy to read, got everyone involved. - Pro wrestling has evolved. Forget the invisible camera crew, now we have stalker drones, baybay!!! The stalker drone picks up Parca being overly nice, even more suspect after he lost his cool against Colin. Says he needs to find someone. The Bermuda Triangle is being put together and should be fantastic at Lution depending on who the third team is. Judge vs Dylan Kinder - The unnecessarily entertaining Judge Brown continues his feud with the Wrestling Club, this time against Dylan Kinder. The match was whatever, Judge continues to dominate, but the post scene was the most interesting to me. Dissention in the ranks of TWC, who are all over every show (in a good way). Dylan on his own already seems shaky, so let's see if he can bounce back and impress his man John. - TY meets Elliot backstage to reform the Lost Boys perhaps, but Elliot refuses and says he has someone TY should meet? More intrigue for RIOT! - This Lotus promo starts a little unhinged and confusing, but actually circles back at the very end for an interesting thread. Lotus seems to be claiming the women dance to hide their insecurities and the men are hiding going back to their home life because there's "nothing for them there", which is stock, but then at the end when Stacy gives her advice, it's shown Lotus has doubts about her own path and actually has a drink in the strip club, kinda insinuating that she is like the men, hiding from her home (House of Faith) because there's nothing for her there and coming to the strip club (facing Marisa) as a way to escape from that world... Am I reading too far into this? Probably. Is it still an interesting and surprisingly nuanced direction? Hmmmm La Mujera vs Heather Angelo - Solid women's match, unbelievable Wrexing here from Heather, who was powerhousing her way through the match for most of it, only to get the French Package not once but twice to put her away. Best match of the night so far, lots of freneticism towards the end. - Colin being meta again, breaking the fourth wall with a funny bit about Wrestling tropes lol. It seems Colin was the one Parca was looking for. Parca seems to be struggling internally between his love of Lucha Country and his yearning for the singles glory he had alongside it. This fracture could be what causes him to snap, so we'll continue to wait. - Matteo unleashes on his former rivals, including Salami Kane in the feud that will never die. That's not to say it should, either. Good words here from Matteo in a niche he's carved out for himself in these video promos. - Holly proves she's the biggest heel on the roster by voluntarily selecting a drink named after H2O. Very few words delivered here, which actually kinda makes it more impactful in a way. The visualization worked for me... Are Emp and Holly forming some kind of bond over senseless violence? - The Mantis continuing to make his way back to sho- What the fuck? This kinda comes out of left field, with Blacksmith losing his shit on The Mantis and Mantis kinda cowering in fear before getting his ass kicked. - MARISA AND FLOJO FIGHT IN THE CROWD! Marisa getting a measure of revenge from the R2G beatdown, absolutely destroying Lotus, who seems reluctant to fight back at first. Maybe HOF foolishness caused that? The big moment here though is Asher finally coming to save Marisa, attacking the bullyguard (see what I did there), before Marisa gets fucking LAID OUT with a big boot. I know it had to be done in text/pic but it was done about as well as you could do it given game limitations. I am still big on this story, but I'm a little concerned that I don't know what the end game will be. I am thinking that this has to drag out until Marisa is promoted and QC Connect can actually compete against Asher in a match, but we will see. Good intertwining of storylines as well, I love when that happens. - I'm the champion and Spider invented everything you're seeing here. Fuck you, Sensation. - Iceman cutting a deliciously firey ass promo in the light this time, continuing after his beat down of the rookie last week. I do appreciate taking a shaky shoot moment and turning it into a compelling story. We'll see where this goes? - Cort Marshall circling back to the pride title after last weeks encounter? Rust Cohle tries to be a good guy and thinks Dominion might be the cause of these attacks... Right before he's fucking attacked again. Masked men are always over!! Lucha Country vs TY Cobra - Love to see the tag champs in action, especially when they display WHY they're tag champs. Most probably thought this was a forgone conclusion, but TY and AC did a lot of good things in this match and continued OCW's run of awesome tag team matches with all kinds of cool shit and tag team moves. Valiant effort and good win for the Champs headed into Lution. - Valkyrie continues to smile in the face of deadly odds, mind games, Bertha Bombs, Ashley Moore, green mist... Terra snaps after failing so many times to break Valkyrie and just fucking destroys her in catering. The powerbomb on the steel cart was nasty as well. TLBS vs Wrex - This is fucking vintage new-age Wrex right here. Domination for 4-5 minutes, then completely gassing, panicking, overthinking, and catching an L. Yes, Blacksmith did back away a couple of times here and there, but it was far from egregious and did not cost Wrex a match he was up 3 levels of damage on in the first few minutes, so I'm not hearing that shitty excuse. TLBS becomes a Super Saiyan in hardcore environments, apparently. Good win for TLBS to continue his breakout S16 and Wrex still hunts for his bounceback. (lose some fucking weight) - Cort almost whimsically downplaying police brutality because he "doesn't get it" is hilarious satire. Interesting to see him rushing into the locker room, making himself look very suspect. Good twist there. Cort says "Maybe. I still think he’s a colon pretending to be an exclamation mark." There are just so many good lines in every Hollywood USA promo... oh shit and here comes the man himself Mike Morrison. MMM is able to slide into a meniacal, charismatic babyface after the whole ME with Jehst happened. As if HUSA needed more dope ass writing. This one runs a bit long as well, but it almost had to, given the people/stories involved. Another solid way to intertwine stories and connect the universe of OCW. - Parca all over this show as well, this time with Wrex. Wrex continues to talk down about LC's opponents, despite just losing himself. No such thing as an easy title retention, despite Wrex's best efforts to put that evil on LC. Parca sets him straight and is almost in two worlds right now, being super serious and passing warnings to singles wrasslers but playing his usual upbeat babyface self in tag team situations. - aaaand yessss, the moment everyone has been waiting for since Maxx debuted. B-List Bad Boy vs Hollywood Muscle. The promo was simple, but it didn't have to be anything over the top. Both of these guys (especially Jehst) are impossibly over and this is something I've wanted to see for a long time. Hats off to Maxx for building his character for more than a year before diving into the inevitable feud. Makes me care about this whole thing much more. - Ashley tries talking some sense into Terra and keep her grounded, but my girl is fucking pissed. Fuck you Valkyrie look what you've done! Main Event: Dominion vs Quartz & B17 - I never needed a match against Nate. I never needed a win against Nate. I never needed to beat Antonio Everrett, I never needed to hold Dominion under my boot. I never needed to team with B17 and his stupid fucking mustache. I never needed another main event. I never need any of it. I GIVE it to you, because I know that someone has to stand on top of the mountain known as OCW. I ALLOW you to watch me every week despite your disrespect. Suspending Spider mid-match because you're a fucking coward who can't hear one ill word about your golden boy or your position as owner of OCW? You act like you have some grand humility for not putting yourself in the ring or in championship matches, but it's all a fucking ploy. You just latch yourself onto the most popular figures to flex your little muscles and remind everyone that you own them. Then the first time someone speaks out of turn in your mind, you throw them off the show. You ain't humble. You ain't graceful. You ain't shit. You don't put yourself in the ring because you know you can't hang and you don't want to face that embarrassment, so instead you latch onto Nate Ortiz to suck that glory off of his caked up face. You've been doing it for 15 years, and now you have someone like me to call it out. Someone you can't just disregard as "Trash" and have everyone laugh at. Now YOUR world champion that gives you all of this great stuff week in and week out? He's walking off your show too. Have fun next week, Sensation.

Quick thoughts Good to see the rookies getting some much needed work on a big name PPV. I see you Gabriel/Derek/Mantis! I had a blast running the story with Cobra. That finish couldn't have been better for the story being told. Cobra has improved a ton on the sticks and should not be slept on going forward. Colin/Salami is as OCW-Competitive as it gets. I feel like a match like this will only be appreciated by those who play full time as we do. Great stuff. Bertha's range and power is unstoppable. Fuck. Best wishes to KD. His two pride title runs have been quick 1-offs, but he's still a force and this match was still fun to watch. Spider special! Matteo is a bona-fide star in OCW. As a booker, I'm so happy to have another new star that I can functionally use in big matches going forward. Same can be said for Cobra and Iceman, but for upper-midcard purposes. Iceman needed this & the Shep feuds to solidify himself as more than "Tre's partner" and it will be no surprise to anyone who loves Mac's promos to hear that I think he's propelled into the drivers seat of the WoV, not the sidekick. Emp/Holly was ME quality and had my heart racing from day 1. I said it before I'll say it again. Empress with limited time is still better than 90% of the roster, the other 10% being me and Spider. H2O and Nate went balls to the walls. I appreciate Harvey's lack of fear in being aggressive and going for the kill as soon as he could, despite losing rev advantage throughout. That said, fuck Harvey and I'm glad he lost to ONE Ortiz Express. You know who kicked out of the Ortiz Express? Me. Get the fuck back in line, H2O. Archer/B17 was a back-to-basics effort for both guys after B17s shaky last few gimmick matches. This went a long way in reestablishing the competitive identity of both guys heading into Lution. Lution-to-Lution is not nothing, Bingo. A hell of an achievement to run a full year with the CCW world title. Congrats, but I hope you lose to Tony at Lution. ALLIED POWERS 4 LYFE thats all, see you all Friday for Super Duper Riot

Leave me alone, god dammit

A time-limited Empress is still better than 90% of the roster! (the 10% being me and Spider, of course.)

Aisu and Parca hitting it off again is nice. Hats off to Marisa for a clever way to edit that video. Idc man I'm invested in Asher/Marisa. The payoff better be mint Maxx's USB apology thing had me in tears. AMBEESHON. Ashley's new consulting service is big time heat. Sad that Ashley's not wrestling but she's earned a break after carrying the women's div for so long. Colin and Ciane should be fiya. ScoopSzn is upon us. I always enjoy watching Harvey get put down and this was another fun way to show that. The first person deal made it look like it was a cell-phone promo which I don't think I've seen in that format in OCW before. Dominion's shift to goody goody "oh we won't interfere" stable of the year angers me. Nate leading his boys the way of B17. Tisk Tisk

AC Cobra dies in 1 week.

You're a waste of everyone's time.

First of all, my butt is being held onto. Thank you for the warning. I am going to be "that guy" who explains context of an RP, but discussion is discussion! This is a running joke from previous encounters where Quartz and Spider "somehow" knew who Colin's opponent was going to be. In Kayfabe it was explained like "this championship gives me certain powers, so I saw the card for next week" etcetc, so Colin now thinks Quartz knows all his matches and it blended with the new seriousness of the Quartz/Spider gimmicks that was established at Clash/on this show. It is ridiculous and meta, but it's supposed to be and Colin is always funny no matter what. Thanks for your review mang, I'll be peeping more and dropping thoughts later. Fin.

You and me both. Thank you for your review. Very detailed. I wish more people were like you in life and in OCW.

Yeah, I have no problem admitting when Spider is driving the bus. Sometimes I have the idea, sometimes he does, most times it's a mix . That promo was insane when he pitched it to me. I was like "don't touch a thing, submit". Just great stuff. I also really appreciated the bite sized RPs on this show. Heather's and Aisu's stuck out to me the most. I enjoyed' Heather's as a way to make her more sympathetic and relateable as she's been largely an asskicker on Harvey's teet from day 1. This helped lean into the chamber more than the others to me.

I think it's less about bickering getting at anyone and more about people sucking up all the energy during certain moments/matches with kayfabe/IC shouting matches. We know comment here or there and a laugh it's all ribbing and in good fun, but when it takes over the VP that 20 people are in and distracts from the show, I can understand Kass' point. Back to the action.

Value! I very much second the comments on Derek, Holly, John. For Marisa, I don't think it's a case of losing momentum at all. She's still all over the place and actively a part of the action week after week. I think the added characters take the spotlight off of her though. I hold my same thoughts I did about Bambi. If QC Connect was an actual tag team with handlers in OCW I would feel differently, I think then it would be awesome. For them to be NPCs, it just feels like they're Marisa specific characters with very little else to separate them. I feel the same way about all NPC characters, to be fair. You can make it work long-term, think Dragana and Johnny Law, but it's funny she has the same kind of thing going with Evelyn, who has a non-wrestler, Evelyn specific NPC in her own right. If you're to do this, it works better with a non-wrestling figure. You just can't get two wrestlers over who aren't actually wrestlers. It's very hard. Dennis Dillinger was created to manage OTHER handlers in OCW and was only brought in with Tayy to betray him and side against him. Those cases, managers can be hella effective and in the case of a guy like Feinstien for example, it works well, allowing an actual other person to be a mouthpiece. To speak on someone on an upswing, I'd honestly vote Tre Golden, his promos are getting more directed, focused, and clearer, even if you're one of the people who disagree with "how he talks". I won't typecast Tre because he doesn't read in a certain way. He reads fine to me. the substance of what he's saying matters way more than any assumed inflection. His new look and consistency has done well too. This show is no different, but that tag match was a disaster. He and Mac just need to build more chemistry, first and foremost.

Lets see if we can get to 15 pages to placate to those of us who live in 2006 who refuse to acknowledge Discord as a functional, enjoyable medium of feedback and entertaining back and forth and long for the days of no community contact through an entire day all for one post when they get off work. just jokes Here's the thoughts either way. Most everything's been covered so far, so I'll just give bips and bops of what stuck out to me. - We kick off Riot with an older man yearning for the good days when he could fight Nate Ortiz. I think one of these two folks aged better than the other. Pugh's desperation and actual end-goals laid out is nice though. We then move to Ashley "McBlaine" being propositioned for sex by a sleazy hotel clerk, this was gross, but nice to see Blaine going somewhere with this post injury. - Aisu's English has gotten really good. Why are europeans so much better at learning languages than us? Also what the hell is he trusting Wrex for? - Man I love the Judge... and now SOMEONE IS PICKING A FIGHT WITTEM - If Empress wins the championship on the back of her murdered hot dog, we will have reached peak women's division content. Emp is back in the game full time! Watch your asses! - Man Colin's RPs (while long) accomplish so much. I admittedly didn't fully read his top bits when we collabed on this, but a re-read is satisfying stuff. The universe connecting and continuity is engaging to me, not to mention continued links back to his primary feud with UAE and Archer, not a week goes by that we don't get something like this too. - an interesting twist on the "injury following a big loss" trope, as we're getting more development between Parca and Reese instead of one promo room/web exclusive then disappearing. Then later, Reese is absolutely ripped apart with a chair. Are these two gonna have the title stripped? - Emp & La Mujera both gunning for the title. You love to see multiple wrestlers strive for the top prize instead of the opp and challenger in a bubble. - I hate that Nate's heel bullshit works with the crowd chanting. With his acumen and longevity, I feel in real life even as a heel leader, the crowd would always be behind him. Unfortunately, with Dupree not giving Pugh the match he wants, it looks like there's only way way he gets on Clash. The big guy is gonna use his backstage clout with Jay to win again. Fuck my life. - Speaking of my title, Kass isn't just hanging out with a Cobra, he's living his life as a snake. His apology is fake and his desire to become LHW champion is very real. It's sometimes hard to get BRAND NEW stories in OCW but this'll be one of em. This should be fun. Kass v Doc - Speaking of which... Bingo and Blacksmith!? After his monster win at Chill Faktor... Can you FUCKING IMAGINE crowning a new superstar in TLBS after Clash?! Man that'd be a blast, but the final boss is in the way. - Oh god, as I speak on it before, Heather is now getting involved in the women's title picture?! WHAT IS HAPPENING. - lol the booking joke in the 2nd Blaine RP popped me - Is fucking Tibby been kidnapped? Pugh's fans going to serious measures to get what they want. The video popped me, very funny stuff. Reminiscent of the "One more match" campaign by AC Cobra 2 years ago, but not nearly as babyfacy. Will it work? - NOW HOLLY?! Ashley is a busy woman tonight. - I gotta tell you, I did NOT see a heel Judge coming with this open challenge, but I guess it checks out. Jordan's build up a bit of a sympathetic figure since he's debuted, getting his tiny ass chucked too and fro before capping his first big feud last week by proving he's super srs. If I recall, this is Judge's first real feud to sink his teeth into and I said I love judge, so I'm here for it. - Blacksmith has transcended alignments at this point. This fiery in-ring promo is all baby work. I don't dislike it, but off the back of his attack and previous actions after the human pothole known as H2O, it's a curious shift back to determined underdog. Perhaps the respect will end after B17 lashes out, just as it did with Harvey. - Colin vs Archer sock puppet battle is peak OCW, and idgaf what anyone else says about the matter. Make it the Main Event of Clash. - Speaking of fiery baby promos, this was great. Short and SWEET. I'm admittedly a Cort Marshall mark, a Cort Markshall, if you will, but he gets right to the point here with some old school wrestling work to mix in with the preceding also-high-quality silliness. Wrestling is a shmorgishe board! Cort v KD II is something I didn't know I wanted until their run-in at Chill Faktor. Such great storytelling in a comp environment. - It wouldn't be OCW without a P3 segment. Go watch! - I don't need staff's protection for matches. Book me wherever you want, I haven't turned down challengers in 3 years and I'm not gonna start with 12 more lbs of added gold. Suck my dick. - God the House of Faith are fucking weird, though I do like Morgan & the new Lotus. Ashley just so busy, doing just what she did at the end of last season, keeping the universe connected and together. The three time champ picks up right where she left off. - Blaine is the subject to much creepiness tonight. This was unnerving and weird as shit. Typical for Mike. Are we FINALLY getting the Mike return we were robbed of last Lution? Matches were quite good all around. Lots of comp. Lots of action. Many seggies attached to matches, just :chefskiss: for tv-content. Nothing mind blowing, but hey. Shouts to booking for getting MOTN correct, Main Event was a thriller and lived up to the hype. Mujera gets a big boost for beating Valk and honestly with her rust, stillc ompeting on the level she did, Valk doesn't lose anything there. Awesome match. Seggie of the night has to be the sock puppet battle. GTFO

Also I plan to read all the dope RPs and drop my thoughts tomorrow. Proud of the work put in so far this year, even if our matches peak and valley in terms of quality overall. (spoiler, Colin/Archer win segment of the night)
